File associations for Contribute 3?

I know that Contribute can import content from a variety of Office formats directly, but there a "native" format he ' owns '? I know that the user can add new extensions to file for registration, but how different extensions Contribute comes it configured to use?

During the installation process, what file extensions is the program wants to be the default application?

Thank you.

Contribute does not take possession of the web extensions and does not have a native file extension. It uses no connection keys that use the extension .stc. Default Contribute already knows he'll be editing .html files - if you need your files to be changed with another program like Dreamweaver, you change the default value of the editor via Edit > preferences > file editors > source Web page and then choose Dreamweaver or in Notepad.

If I try to associate a file type with a program that I can't the box is grayed out to always open the file with this program, for example, if I try to open .py (programming in python language file) with python from another program whenever I have to right click and open with python, but if I want to choose the "always use". the selected program to open this type of file"is grayed on I can not change it... pls help

    Hi VikkHckrz,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer recently?

    Method 1:

You can consult the following KB article and run the fix it tool available and check if you can assign file association.

When you run an .exe on a Windows Vista-based or Windows 7 computer file, the file may start another program

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/950505

    Also check out the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-which-programs-Windows-uses-by-default

After running the fixit so check the option is grayed out or not.

    Method 2:

If you're still having problems, then you can try to change the settings in the registry only if it is present on your computer and check if it helps.

    a. Click Start, type regedit in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. navigate to the

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\Explorer

    (c) in the right side of the screen, double click on "NoFileAssociate".

    d. change the value of "NoFileAssociate" from 1 to 0.

    e. exit the registry editor and restart the computer and check.

Important: The above mentioned steps show you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps from the link below:

When I go to the Menu 'Open with' by do right click and choose the program by default, the box to make the selected program, the default is grayed out. I try to open the disc in burner program, but the file still shows the icon from the windows Explorer. A funny glitch happens when I try it... hundreds of explorer.exe process openness raw computer. I wrote a small program to kill them all and was fine... but I really want to solve this problem, so I don't accidentally double click and create this glitch. DO NOT change the extension of a file type, because you will never be able to open this file. To save an attachment, click on file, save attachments. At the bottom of the window that opens is the place where this file is saved. You can change this location by clicking the Browse button. Once the attachment is saved, for example, in the Documents folder, navigate to that folder and double-click on this MAP. To open PPS files, you must have PowerPoint or the free PowerPoint Viewer installed. If you do not, go here:

  • accidentally changed my file association for utorrent and now not loading the game and programs and browsers

I accidentally changed something in my computer that shuts down my computer to open all the files, I can't even open the Microsoft Fit it online because when I go to install it, I get a pop up window asking me what program I want to run with, but none of the programs offered in the window will work to open the program file. I remember a couple of days ago I have has download a torrent file and one open pop-up window and asked me what program I wanted to associate this file type, I clicked on the option of utorrent, now none of my games, movies or programs run, when I click on them and try to open them I get the same pop-up box asking what application I want to use to open the program with.
am beyond frustration with this, I even uninstalled my UTorrent program hoping that would solve the problem, but no luck, the game/files/movies and browsers does not start without changing the file to open with something that is not available in the list of the programs listed.,.

  • File association for Dummies

    Hello

I have read several articles on how to associate files with a thinapp but been completely missed something. Can someone take me through this step by step please, where files should do and what they should make reference. It doensnt need to be in a script, etc., I can do later once I know where thinreg must be and what controls are to indicate, for example, an Access .mdb file?

    Help, please

    JB

For example, let's say you have an Office 2007 package, you copied the files in the directory "bin" of the project at C:\VirtOffice2007. So, C:\VirtOffice2007 for example contain 'Microsoft Office Access 2007.exe', 'Microsoft Office Word 2007.exe' and 'Microsoft Office Professional 2007.dat '. You then run

    thinreg c:\VirtOffice2007\*.exe

and after that .mdb, .docx etc extensions will point to the Virtual Office 2007 package, so by double-clicking a .mdb file should launch the virtual access application.
