  • Windows Help and support keeps popping up.

I have a hp system I used for aroud 2 years. but for these last days, windows help and support keeps popping up. I checked all the keys of the keyboard, tried to reinstall windows, worked well for 2 days, tried safe mode, but the problem doesn't go away. On-screen keyboard in my system shows that the key to the 'window' is pressed permanently, but it is not. Help, please!

    Hello

    1. What is the brand and model of the keyboard?

    2. have you made any changes to the computer?

3 have you tried the same keyboard on another computer or another keyboard on the HP system to see if the problem occurs?

Since the question does not appear 2 days after you have reinstalled Windows, it is possible that some changes have caused the problem as recently installed updates.

  • HP Pavilion digital media archive, when set up, freezes

I have a HP Pavilion and Media Center desktop AMD 2002 with service pack 3, model # a1341n.  At startup, the window of archive media digital HP starts to set up and freezes 3/4 across.  I click OK and tell me network resource is not available and to go to the folder that contains the installation package 'EZARC.msi' in the source below which reads c:\hp\tmp\src\DMA_20\.  The next window tells me that the file is not found.  I've tried troubleshooting and tried to locate the file myself but without success.  I'm unable to download updates for my PC because of this program running which I'm unable to close.  I have tried cancelling but the window Configuration of archive digital media keeps popping back.  System Restore and turn off the PC has not helped either.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

A character is perhaps missing in the model number you gave or you made it.

Use msconfig to see if the Manager of HP's digital archival himself inserted in the startup group. Uncheck that and it should not start again on your next startup. MSCONFIG is accessed by :--> start run and type "msconfig" and run it.

The information below is to know how to stop it while it is running.

When you start your system after logon CTRL-ALT-DEL and open Task Manager.

Search in programs and processes to see what process belongs to the Digital Archive Manager. Kill the process and check remove it from msconfig in the startup group.

If you are unable to hear it, and then use ProcessExplorer to find the culprit. The process Explorerr is a Microsoft Technet utiity and is safe if you use it in a limited way. It will identify the processes by manufacturer.

    Thank you Vicki

    Hi Rachel,

    Thanks for your help.

I tried it & it didn't work but I was checking other messages on media players & I found this.

    Uninstall the Media Player

    Step 1

    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. browse the features of media (develop) and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer

    Step 2

    Reinstall Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. browse the features of media (develop) and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer.

I've tried it & it worked. Initially, there was no change so I've let it go & 10 min later that everything was back to normal. It must have reset the media player. I wish I could find this post once again to thank :)

  • . AVI files play in Windows Media Player, and then begin to stutter.

    Original title:

This only happens when I actually want to sit and watch something. I find mpg and wmv General files stutter in Windows Media Player. But most other files do, especially avi compressed. I use VLC Player and then he given high priority by the Task Manager to at least reduce stuttering. I also play the mpegs via media player as they stutter loads in VLC. But it is the codec relate, this general stuttering is not codec related... read on. It is not the performance. I killed all the processes under the Sun without result. Any ideas? Win 7 32-bit 4 GB ram Core 2 Duo 2 Ghz SP Secutiry Essentials (killed it too much to try to resolve) the video but its almost as if Windows is something in the background, but does not know what that. Same problem on my dekstop operating under Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB of ram and a dual core processor. This machine has a Nvidia 9500GT for video acceleration hardware. However, it does not help for all types of files. I was watching a movie the other day and it was fine for the first hour or two. Then the hard drive on my desk light started going mental, video started stutering bad. I raised the priority of the process media player but it only limited effect. I could see no process or high CPU usage or anything to indicate what the bloody thing. So, what the * is Windows do during these periods? How I can sit there and locked up for an hour or two, so I can watch my bloody video? If it was a dog I would enter the * on it until he learned to sit there and not * do anything while I watched my video.

    Hello

    1. is the specific issue in an .avi file?

2 have you made any changes to the computer, before the show?

To resolve this problem, use the following methods. After completing the steps in each method, check to see if the issue is resolved before you go to the next method. If the problem is resolved by any method, you do not have to use other methods.

    Method 1:

Note: Once you are done with the boot, follow step 7 of article to reset your computer to normal startup.

    Method 2:

  • Windows 7 "Help and Support" keeps popping up.

I tried all the things in the virus check to clean start windows 7 to recharge. The help and Support windows keeps popping up. Why can not simply disable the "helpane.exe"? I can't delete it as it is. To do this I'll have to get another computer.  I had to put it in my computer to work with the pop up window, I can't do anything else!

Well, I encountered this problem and I see a lot of people ask this question, but I understood what my question was, maybe this will help you if you are still having the problem or others have the problem.

The problem I had is that there is not exactly the impression that "Help and Support" said anything, but it was, he told me that he tried to open an unsupported help file (something that we install shows a help when your connection after a restart file).  So basically, if you use an older program that has files of help that are not supported by Windows 7 or Vista, it comes up with a general help and screen Support saying that he could not open the help file, but not telling me that you or give me an idea as using that file has problems.  I worked a little with our software and knew what help file was being pulled up, I have therefore been able to stop it, but I suggest to check the help files for your software to see which ones that might not work.

  • Digital Media Converter

I am trying to connect and stream videos and pictures from my Windows 7 Pc to my Xbox One. I finally got my Pc to add the Xbox one of my wireless devices, but now it asks me to update my Digital Media Renderer Driver. When I click on apply difficulty he's going through the motions, then an error message appears. It is said that their isn't a driver for digital media converter and there are problems with PnP devices? The Xbox 360 has been easy to connect, but for some reason the Xbox One has problems. Help, please. Thank you

I bet that you just have to open the Windows Media Player on the PC and check two things under flow. Allow control at distance of my player and the most important; Automatically allow devices to play my media. Then if you click more streaming options, you should see that your Xbox has full access now! Ignore the error of the pilot Digital Media Renderer, this isn't a problem here...

  • Windows 8 programs and start menu keep popping up randomly help!

OK so I started a program of windows 8, I hide and go to my desktop and use chrome etc. programs all minutes from this program, I hid continues to appear, I close it and it keeps popping up for 3 - 5 times and then it disappears. Anyone know what causes this?

PROBLEM SOLVED (for me)!  I had this problem for a week on my new computer.  Seemed that the 'Start' button has been continually pressed.  Do you happen to have a wireless keyboard that you have changed out for another which is always close to your computer... like I did.  Turns out I forgot to pull the battery in my wireless keyboard and also has not entered the USB for remote transmitter/receiver.  I got the keyboard on a shelf above the computer.  The button 'Start' was pressed against a book so it was always "pressed" and always communicate with the computer.  Just happened to do that, when I thought if something goes wrong with my original keyboard.  When I out took it of the shelf, the problem stopped.  I hope this helps!
