Files printed to PDF Mac FF13/Lion will truncate to right. OK in Safari

When you do a file/print/PDF/save as PDF in Firefox (running on a Mac under the last Lion) 13.01, the pages are truncated to the right of the page. It happens regularly. I can print correctly under Safari.

Someone suggested I want in the Page Setup/paper size/manage custom sizes, but this dialog box does not change.

What is happening with this and how do I fix.

Hi mrn8tural, this setting should remain until you change.

(By the way, I have inserted this image of a help article, and it could be that an earlier version of Mac OS x).

    Hello

Yes, go ahead and put this folder in the trash, I would also suggest restarting the Mac and repair disk permissions in order to avoid any possible permissions errors that can impact on the installation:

    Hello
Follow the steps below to repair disk permissions:

    1. open the Applications folder.
    2. go to the Utilities folder.
    3. double-click on disk utility.
4 Select the hard disk that contains the boot volume.
    5. go to the first aid tab and select Repair disk permissions.
Note: This process may take several minutes depending on the Mac and the amount of the permissions that need to be repaired. The progress log shows when the process was completed.

Once you have finished my steps above to reinstall the software.

  • "Print to PDF" different from "Convert to Adobe PDF" in the toolbar of Word?

We discovered that if you use the file-> print-> Adobe PDF, we get the more precise word for the results of PDF conversion that if we use just the toolbar labeled "convert to Adobe PDF format.

The settings are default and the value 'Standard '.  A sampling using the icon conversion cut two lines of text and missed a few words in the document.  Using Acrobat Pro Extended 9.2.0

    Any ideas?

  • my new computer with windows 8 will not print my pdf files, print everything well.

I'm so close pitch on this windows 8.

Got it to work.  I discovered that the updates have been downloaded, but the computer needed to restart to get them set up.  PDF does not open until this happened.  By chance, I noticed a message that says my computer will re-start in two days to config updates.  I chose restart and it took 40 minutes for an update installation and config.  Fingers crossed I checked my pdf and they ran.  problem solved.

  • Y at - it an app that will "print" to PDF?

Often when using my Mac, it's been really great select the option print and be able to select the "PDF" button and print a web page or other document to a PDF file.

Is there a such app available for the iPad?  I searched the iTunes app store for "print to PDF" and there are a lot of apps, but all seem not to do exactly what I want.  They are apps to convert PDFs in Word, etc files or images in PDF format, or they are documents scanners that create PDF files from photos and many others.

Can anyone recommend an application that can be added to the share button universal who will do a "Print to PDF" and save it or open with another application like purple or other Notes Organizer?

    Thank you

    -Tod

Don't know exactly, but if you have Pages for iPad you can export a file as a PDF and then use it as you wish. That would help?

  • Overview of the Mac and TeXShop print not PDF correctly on Laserjet 600 M601

    Hi all

New here and of course with an insoluble problem.

Since the upgrade to: (10.8.3), one Mountain Lion iMac and new HP printer, I cannot preview either no Mac or TeXShop to PDF print correctly on my printer HP Laserjet 600 M601 (this by the way is a "new" printer so I can't compare with how it was before the Mountain Lion or the iMac). I have the following software to print:

    Overview of the Mac

    Abobe Reader 9.5.5

    Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5

    Adobe Acrobat X Pro 10.1.7

    TeXshop 3.18

    and I can print for

    HP Laserjet 600 M601

    Laserprinter LBP5300 color Cannon

Are the combinations that will never give a correct output (bad fonts, spacing of mathematical fonts bad garbage)

Overview of the CMA on HP printer

    TeXshop on HP printer

Other combinations work OK. PDF created in TeXShop will also print correctly if printed through Adobe or on the barrel.

    Any help much appreciated.

    Cheers, Bob.

I would recommend that you download the driver through Apple Software Update and try to install it this way on computers running OS X 10.8.

Print > save as PDF - use an excerpt (part of Mac OS X), so Adobe Reader should have no effect on that at all.

As for the error "file corrupted", simply uninstall the Reader app will not affect it. Follow these steps:

    Mac/HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins

Trash the files AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin

    Mac HD/Applications

    Trash the application Adobe Reader

    [user] / Library/Preferences

    Trash the com.adobe.Reader.plist file

To access the [user] / Library, hold down the 'Option' and click on 'Go' in the FInder menu.

    Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe

    Trash the drive (full record)

    Empty the trash.

Download the installer FULL here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

Quit your browser, and then reinstall the drive.

Run it from the Applications folder and agree to the license agreement.

You should have no problem with Safari PDF files download.

Unfortunately, ANY PDF file that says it is damaged.... You will need their trash.

  • Print to PDF missing in PSE8 on Mac

Hi - I use my new 8 items on my MacBook OSx 10.6 Snow Leopard current of execution, and the function "Print to PDF" is missing. I click on file-> print and the dialog box that appears has no place to choose print in PDF format. Am I missing something? Or items missing something?

    Thank you!

I don't understand. Any program can print to PDF in OS x:

You say that the OS X print dialog box is missing from this button for you? If so, something is horribly wrong with your printer driver.

On a mac, you will see this window, which is also where you choose paper and print quality, after the print PSE window.

What print driver are you using to print to PDF. Firefox is not any printer to print a page in PDF format.

I use CutePDF , if you are interested. It's free.
