fingerprint on startup

Hi all

Could someone help me with this:

I am a recent owner of the T440s (unfortunately with the LG Panel).

I checked every single parameter of fingerprints, that I could find. I also tried older drivers and older versions of the Manager of fingerprints.

When I start the machine, I can't use the fingerprint reader to log on. She starts to Flash, but no reaction whatsoever. I can only connect using my password.

This works very well when the wake-up standby or hibernation. Also, it becomes active when I want to enter the bios. All simply not at startup.

Thanks in advance.

Jack.

Edit: win7 ultimate 64

I don't know how, but it works now.

I received my Evo840 1 TB and 8 GB Crucial Ballistix today; cloned the hd and install. The lower lid was much easier to open than I expected after reading all the messages of drama on the subject.

Thanks for the comments though

The previous connection set to the user on a fingerprint, you forgot the password.

I managed to enter accordingly after the lengthy operation myself, as long as the administrator to set the password, to set an entry as well according to the password and a fingerprint.

But I want to disconnect all this horror absolutely. Also I do not understand it to do. I can get into the BIOS, but the majority of the points are not available.

You can try to disable in the BIOS if it is available. If no option in the BIOS then it will always be THERE.

Alone! Strange. I use laptop computers for 10 years and have never heard of something like that.
Anyway, if you want to remove password BIOS Toshiba service, you must visit and they can do it for you.

Password BIOS is reasonable security feature and cannot be discussed in the public forum. I know that you realize that, right?

  • Portege R830, Win7 64 - Fingerprint Software update fails at startup

After the Fingerprint software version 2.0.06409 update as recommended by Toshiba TEMPRO, a system message appears to stop and start: "TFPU LogonUI.exe Entry Point not found. The entry point of procedure... not found in the TFPUCommand.dll dynamic link library.

The system cannot use connection of fingerprints. After logging in using the name and password of a standard user, the software itself runs correctly, by contacting the fingerprint sensor.

    Worked fine just before update.

    Hello

Have you tried to reinstall this software of fingerprint?

Firstly uninstall the fingerprint tool preinstalled.
Clean the registry (for example, by using a 3rd party software CCleaner) and restart the laptop.
Download the utility of fingerprinting of driver Toshiba UE page and install the software.
Reboot the laptop once more and test functionality.

  • T500 fingerprint reader does not load at startup (blue screen)

I have 2081CTO T500. Provided natively with Vista Home, but I reinstalled with XP Pro SP3. All the latest updates are installed both drivers and windows (as of March 12, 2010).

I've had this laptop for about a year and the fingerprint reader to work properly. A few months ago it stops working for some reason any and I stoppped using it. I finally had time to reinstall the whole windows and installed. It worked well for about a day, but today I was using my computer and it suddenly froze unanswered. I turned off and when I walk back, the fingerprint sensor would not load and a blue screen came up with an error that a failure to boot and windows kept just restart at this stage and display the same message. I password protected journal and had loaded all ten fingers to use during the connection (not the Welcome screen).

I tried power cycling, did not work. Subsequently had to connect via safe mode, disable the fingerprint sensor to connect and then reboot in normal mode to be able to connect without the Blue error screen. I tried updating the BIOS, did not work. Reinstalled the sensor of fingerprint, again the same problem. I also reset the fingerprint sensor in the BIOS and reinstalled the software, but still the same problem. Basically now I use the home screen and in this way, that I don't get the Blue error screen. It just continues to show as if the sensor is train load, never happens, so I just put a password and enter. I remember that some months ago, when I had a problem, it was similar. It worked fine, but when I turned off the Welcome screen, I suddenly had a problem with the sensor that was not resolved until I reinstalled windows. Now that I think of it, it could be the same disabling the Welcome screen things screwed up again.

Could someone please explain what is happening? Why are there so many problems without the windows welcome screen? I know that the sensor works very well because when I am trying to scan my fingers or even connect to Thinkpad security systems, it works fine. It's just windows connect you that is screwed. I can't go back again to work at least with the Welcome screen. I'd appreciate any help.

After a few bars, I isolated the problem to the personal firewall. I changed the settings and fingerprint reader worked very well. I hope this will help someone in the future.

    Hello

You can try to disable/uncheck software or applications of fingerprints in msconfig-> Startup tab.
This would prevent the software to load automatically when you start the Windows operating system.

In my case, it worked and could turn off the different applications and processes in msconfig.

  • Satellite Pro U400-13O: can not enter TrueSuite without the fingerprint

    After having downgraded to WinXP

On one occasion, I agreed to store a password in TrueSuite.
Now I can't enter TrueSuite more because the software waits to read my fingerprints for the purpose of verification of the user - it is not yet registered.

There is no possibility to enter my password user or such.

What can I do - just uninstall/reinstall the program?

Can I reinstall the program from the CD to downgrade, or would it reinstall the system?

    Hello

Usually, you can also use the passwords stored in the logo of the OS.
If you don t want to use fingerprint authentication, but prefer to use the press focused on the keyboard system BACK SPACE key when the screen of fingerprint authentication system startup is displayed. This allows to switch the password entry to the basic one keyboard screen.

  • Fingerprint sensor can be found on Portege R500

Since my Portege R500 has recently developed a habit of not being able to find the fingerprint sensor.
I have re-installed Truesuite (new version 2.0.2.0) but that didn't improve matters.

On startup, I get an error software fingerprinting system is not available.
At the start of TrueSuite, trying to footprints fingerprinting registration, I get a message "cannot open the sensor.

Am I missing a driver or so (at the start there is also a cryptic message on a port USB)

    Any ideas?

It of difficult to say why the new fingerprint driver or software does not solve your problem

The whole story is really mysterious.
The European driver Toshiba page provides the AuthenTec fingerprint software (v2.0.2.0)
If reinstalling this software does not help the question must relate to a corrupt Windows Vista files and in my opinion that using the Toshiba Recovery CD should help.

    A question:
    Have you installed SP1?

  • Satellite A300-M01 - Questions about fingerprint software

Probably a stupid question, but however.
I realize the TrueSuite Access Manager Fingerprint Software is probably OEM, but.

I want to do a clean install of Vista Ultimate (I get it for free at my University), with seven Beta and other Fedora/Ubuntu/Debian installation. I want to clean it Vista install to get rid of the nonsense bundle software etc etc that comes and loads up on startup with Vista but I do quite like the features that the fingerprint reader offers to me and realize that a facility would own it.

From which it follows that I would like to know if it would be possible for me to acquire new software from somewhere, or recover from the current installation before you do a format and reinstall (or any other software free license which would provide features to my fingerprint reader, by the way).

And then on a note side, is there anywhere where I can get the Toshiba Bluetooth / Networking Suite (which shouldn't be an OEM thing)? It would be very useful if the blown thing comes with a CD with at least all the things that are not on the OEM licenses and drivers for all the hardware, I would have thought it's too ask that everybody wants unnecessary bits 100 software from the start, but also limited time - watch 3 third-party software installed on their computer slowing them down , occupying their resources and wasting space (I know right? It's bloody hard to believe).

The drivers and the software Toshiba will install in a generic version of Windows after you have installed the Toshiba Value added Package.

You can download TruSuite and other software on the Toshiba site in the Support/drivers section. You can also save C:\TOSAPINS installation files

If you do not want the additional software installed, why don't you just to uninstall and then run a registry cleaner like CCleaner?

  • How to disable Toshiba Fingerprint Utility on Satellite Pro S750?

I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on a S750 Pro Satellite. Is there a way to permanently disable the Tohisba footprint?

I don't want to uninstall it, just to prevent it from running at startup.

    > I don't want to uninstall it, just to prevent it from running at startup.

Yes, it's possible just type msconfig in the search and launch the tool.
Now, go to the Startup tab and uncheck the line where is mentioned the Toshiba Fingerprint Utility
Click on apply and restart the laptop.

After restarting again the laptop does not load (starts automatically) the utility of fingerprints

If you want to use again, go to msconfig and recheck this line.

  • Win 7 slow start - connection with fingerprint reader

    Hello

I have a T400s (2.4 GHz and 4 GB) with an Intel SSD and WIn 7 RTM with the last drivers beta of Lenovo.

I have the fingerprint reader enabled for the connection and my startup time of 35 seconds is now shared almost half in the connection of fingerprints and the other half in the rest of the startup procedure.

Or (the finger) described another way if the machine is turned off and I slide my finger to start the machine, it takes about 17 seconds before the fast logon is indicated.

Then the machine says 'pending' for 15-20 seconds during which my personal connection icon is flashing by until it ends the connection and almost immediately displays the desktop.

I am surprised by the very slow connection with my finger already slipped. It would be much faster to turn off fingerprint reader and connect using a password. Someone had this problem and knows how to fix?

Other problems with the boot, I found (and fixed) is the use of a solid as the Windows background color which, for some reason, costs about 15 seconds at boot time! I also had to reflash the firmware of my SSD to win 10 extra seconds at the beginning of the startup procedure.

    Carpet

    Hello again,

Sometimes I had to wait several seconds after sliding my finger, to the process of connection of kick. I checked the event viewer on my thinkpad T400 and found the security processes that are at work when loggin. I have excluded them from protection against viruses (Microsoft Security Essentials) and restarted the computer. When the logon screen appeared, I spent my finger and boom, the connection process began immediately.

    Excluded processes are:

    C:\Windows\System32\LogonUI.exe

    C:\Windows\System32\winlogon.exe
