  Does anyone else have the problem of the fingerprint reader does not work after hibernate? It is an intermittent problem, happens all the time, but frequently. Out of hibernation, it flashes, move my finger, nothing happens, flashing stops and the drive does not work after that. I have to enter my password of Windows and it does not work for all Web sites.   So, here is the solution (s) found by Pokey and me:

  Option 1:  Computer properties, Device Manager, biometric devices, validity sensors, properties and the power management tab, uncheck the box "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".

  Option 2:  Try deactivation and activation of the 'Credential Manager' service by going to control panel, Administrative Services, Manager tools of credentials.  Even if the credentials manager status is "started", stop the service credentials manager and restart it.   Option 3:  Do both.

  C850 satellite is not listed as a book of 10 Windows compatible.
  This means that Win 10 drivers are not available for this unit.

  In any case, I recommend you to go to Device Manager and remove / remove Bluetooth all the partners of the devices and entries.
  In the view of mark tab also the option Show hidden devices in order to get the big picture complete.

  Now after reboot, win 10 must search for removed devices and drivers missing.

  Recently, after the update to Windows 10 fingerprint reader works just on my Pavilion dv6. I tried to download HP SimplePass (which has been removed from my PC by updating the operating system) in the hope he would get my fingerprint reader to work, but no luck.  I also looked in the settings (in Device Manager) for biomeric devices, and I found a driver with an exclamation point, indicating it wouldn't work. So, right now, I need a solution to get my to work on a fingerprint reader.

  • The Eagle sensor recommended is actually suitable for Windows 8.1 (and 8); the driver works in Windows 10.
  • The program supported the series 8 HP SimplePass is evaluated from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

  

  IF you were using previously series 6 HP SimplePass (any version of HP SimplePass 6.x):

  • It is time to move as a result of program series 8 HP SimplePass supported.
  • Even if you have an export of your webcards (Web sites / passwords) of this older version of SimplePass, you can use file .tsd (import) series 6 in series 8 HP SimplePass.  The two sets of program are NOT compatible.  There is no program of conversion of encryption between the two programs.
  • When you switch to the supported HP SimplePass version, you must create a new database of your Web sites / passwords.   This means you must create all new connections to fingerprints.

  • Uninstall the program from HP SimplePass version 6.x of programs and features >

  If the installed validity sensor driver is courses (as recommended):

  1. Uninstall your driver Validity Sensor in the Device Manager (do not remove) >
  2. Restart the computer to enable the driver to reinstall

  1. Reinstall the existing fingerprint driver
     • Option 3 is to install the driver in Device Manager
       • Method 1: Reinstall the existing driver

  If the installed validity sensor driver is exceeded (old):

  1. Download driver validity Eagle
  2. Uninstall the existing driver from the Device Manager AND check the box to delete the driver >
  3. Close all programs >
  4. Shut down the computer > seconds >
  5. Start the computer and log on >
  6. Install the downloaded driver

  Have you installed the upgrade wizard to win 8?
  The upgrade wizard to win 8 allows you to get all the drivers Win 8.

  I just bought this new laptop. I have updated to Windows 8 Windows 10. Everything worked fine before the update. I am now active on Windows 10 and the mouse pad does not work.   I Hare recently upgradedmy Toshiba Satellite L855-149 to the most recent version of windows 8 6.2 and since I did then the Synaptics touch pad stopped working, I guess because the driver does not work with this version of windows 8.   Hi all

  I have a new X 240, and the fingerprint logon no longer works when the computer comes out of standby or a lockscreen (screen saver). I checked other solutions here and on other sites, namely:

  1 uncheck the option of the power of the drive in the Device Manager, fp

  2 and waiting for 30 days of switching within the parameters of Lenovo

  None of these solutions have worked. I have the latest version of BIOS and FP driver. I did ensure that the public Service has been enabled in the BIOS, and I even changed the settings to only allow internal reader to FP. Yet, the public Service will work when I first power on the laptop, but not after the stand-by recovery. I checked in Device Manager after you manually enter the password, and it is said that the PC is up and running.

  I am at a loss, and I want to exhaust all possibilities before calling tech support. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

  I usually use system update to check for new versions of software from Lenovo. Don't take SU that he had a new version of the reader of the public Service. Just to be sure, I checked on the Lenovo Web site and now there is a newer version of the player FP. I had to download and manually uninstall the previous version. He is fine now.
