  Hey again once, unfortunately I can't reproduce the problem on a windows pc and the console log is not very descriptive (at least for my level of knowledge).

  I think there are two aspects to this:

  (1) URL format

  If you access this file using the dialog box of the browser open the file (Ctrl + O), you can get the format of practical link for it. For example, the separators will be oblique instead of backslashes.

  (2) local file security

  Firefox limits access to pages on web servers, to pages on the local drive or UNC paths. This article has more information: links to local pages don't work - MozillaZine Knowledge Base. This extension provide a workaround: LocalLink (I have not tried myself).

I couldn't remember that it was so I installed each recorder of Skype, that I could find including nice may one.   P.S. I was able to find an immediate temporary fix yesterday by browsing through another forum where one of the mods had a fix. He said that the issue had something to do with DEP.

  I beg of you. I thought it was that but wouldn't you jinx. OK Event ID 1000, 100 source is often caused by a built-in virus protection app called adj. Dep, or DEP data, prevent applications (read virus) to launch in 'protected memory space. It is almost not necessary but that's another story.
