Firefox crashes on opening even in safe mode, so I can not set all the parameters - Crash ID: bp-6c9dc360-32db-4a34-968b-9474f2121230.
I have a windows 64-bit computer that is running Windows 7. In recent months, Firefox has been crashing on opening - opening occasionally on the profile of my husband, but not mine. I now use IE9 running as administrator but would prefer to use Firefox.
I can't adjust the settings, plugins etc that I can't open the program at all. After the first attempt, I go to the Task Manager and stop firefox.exe. Then when my next attempt to open I get the error again. I sent off the coast many reports of incidents at Mozilla.

Hello
I found my profile.ini for Firefox file by using the information in your message *http://kb.mozillazine.org/profiles.ini_file. There were 2 profiles in the ini file, so I deleted one and kept the other one who had the same name as the folder profile and saved the ini file. Bingo-test - Firefox works! I think the graphics card driver update helped also that IE works properly now as well.
Thanks for your help.
see you soon

Apple Mail only works when I restart in "safe" mode otherwise it becomes crazy, using all the CPU capacity without any correct output. Seems to be connected with caches. Any help?
Generally, if your Mac works correctly in Mode safe, but not normally, then you have a third-party software that runs at the start of the origin of the problem.
Safe mode disables most of the extensions of third-party startup and some Apple hardware, so it could be another problem for Apple, but I have never heard of your problem.

On a Windows 7 computer, I installed Firefox 9.0.1 and in my edit menu I have NO preferences at the bottom, so there is no way to set all the parameters of the Edit menu opens and I cancel, redo, cut, copy, paste, delete, select all, find... but WITHOUT preferences below. Hi bruce,.
What actually are you looking for? On Windows 7, your options will be under Tools > Options. If you have the Firefox menu, you can press Alt to temporarily activate the menu bar.
The details of your system say Linux. Say you're on Windows 7 However, correct?

Firefox crashes on opening a few seconds. That started everything suddenly a few weeks ago, and despite several attempts to every day, I still cannot load firefox application. It crashes immediately on startup every time anything and journalist accident happens. I studied all the articles and followed their suggestions. I installed the latest version of firefox and still get the same results. I can't even open firefox in safe mode.
Heather, not sure I can help, I'm not a Mac user, but I'll have a look at the crashIDs that you provided.
Update:
- Crash report ID: [6326058f-1fca-4d4d-a080-af8902120119]
- signature: TFont::CreateFontEntitiesForFile (const char *, bool, TSimpleArray < TFont * > &, bool, short, char const *)
- Crash report ID: [69534b6f-7662-4c09-bf2e-39fff2120104] signature as above
There are very few reports recent crash with this signature, they could even be your plant. If you follow the suggestions in the article I linked above there is not much that can be done easily. You should try discount the possibility that the cause is malware by scanning with several updated tools.
Malware controls
Have you seen and followed the advice- Fix Firefox problems caused by malicious software
- the first step trying to detect malware, a typical suggestion is this message from the-edmeister /questions/914980 #answer - 302372
Clean reinstall it
If you find no malware, it can be interesting to try a new re - install and a clean profile, none of them are simple and must be done with care, so first try malware scans, those who will take a while to sort.Rather a last resort: fill out a bug report
If you are ready to try to answer the inevitable questions and have an email account anonymous, that you can use for recording, you can follow the link from the report above and click on 'report' to create a bug report on the crash. - Crash report ID: [6326058f-1fca-4d4d-a080-af8902120119]

Report of Crash Firefox 7.0.1 [@ rapporttanzan7.dll@0xfa46]
This is probably caused by Trusteer report (probably more old signature in versions below build 1108.47). Try to disable it and see if that stops the noise.
You can stop the report by using the Start Menu > programs > Trusteer report > report stop
You can ask their helpdesk when a version update of their products will be available or, if you do not need this software, uninstall.

I have a XP computer. During use, the power supply cord unplugged and computer is dead. When I tried to restart it, it will go to the blue screen with an error, go to the screen that asks if I want to start in safe mode. It does not start in normal mode, but it does get my wallpaper and stay there. Sometimes Windows XP screen and stay there. It really starts to make a lot of noise when one of these things happens. Don't know what to do. I have a XP OS disk Dell provided with the computer. Any ideas?
Repair the Windows XP installation - you should have all your files intact.
A repair install will replace the system files with the files on the XP CD used to the repair facility. It will leave your applications and settings intact, but Windows updates will have to be reapplied.

all of a sudden a few weeks ago, I can't have on firefox. It crashes immediately on startup every time anything and journalist accident happens. I studied all the articles and followed their suggestions. I installed the latest version of firefox and still get the same results. I can't even open firefox in safe mode. I don't ' know what else to try and really need my favorite browser back and all my favorites and passwords...
Since I exhausted all angles throughout January and early February, I can't really identify what makes the difference, but today... IT WORKS NOW! Firefox has been removed from my computer for a few weeks now, so with renewed determination I searched all single folder on my entire hard drive and found 3 random files with mozilla or any part of the word inside mozilla and erased. I turned off the computer and restarted a few hours later. I downloaded firefox 10 (still higher version than the one I was updating of a month) from google chrome and installed it. so thank you for your comments and help!

Switching between the tabs, playing GIFs, play YouTube videos, type some text, and open the menu of Firefox are sometimes lag.
For example, sometimes when I click on a tab to view it, there will be a delay of one second before its content is displayed.
I tried Google Chrome and it doesn't have this lag. My computer is powerful enough.
I've tried safe mode, but the problem was present there, too.
I tried to empty the cache, but not luck.
I don't know what else to say, so if you want more information, please just ask! Thank you.
I tried this and disable the Manager of Session add-on and Firefox seems to be back to his usual quick self.

Thunderbird does not load when open, even in safe mode
When I open Thunderbird, it charge about 16 MB in RAM, and wedge. If I'm lucky, I can open Thunderbird using the Windows safe mode and safe mode of Thunderbird, run the program as administrator, but only once. Fail other attempts to open the program. I checked the parent.lock file and it does not exist unless Thunderbird is running. The user account is an administrator account, but the same thing happens with a standard account. Compatibility check says that the program is incompatible with any other suggestions. I tried to run under settings for Windows 7 and Vista with the same results. This happens before and after a profile import, omitting the extensions, a version of work using Mozbackup.
All other programs are functioning normally.
Acer SW5 - 012P type 2 in 1 computer, Windows 8.1 pro 32-bit, 64-bit based Atom, 4 core CPU with graphics Intel HD, Thunderbird 45.4, Kaspersky Security suite, installed from the same file that I used to work on a computer Windows 10 specifications similar.
A dump is available from the Task Manager if necessary.
The problem is cured but not resolved. Reinstall Windows by using an ISO from the Microsoft Web site restored normal operation of Thunderbird.
I can only assume that something in the installation of Acer image was interfering with the loading, although Thunderbird (a number of different versions have been found) and Seamonkey mail were the only made programs. I thought I had deleted all the bloatware, but it is possible that something was still there.

Can't localhost in Firefox, even in Safe Mode, but it can get in private browsing
IE has never had a problem, but in FF, I still have "the connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the page is loading. »
This also includes doing 127.0.0.1
The fact that I can not get in Mode safe, but can get when private browsing is strange, I think. That includes private browsing only Safe Mode, to see if this is the problem?
PB mode does not use the disk cache and does not use the current set of cookies.
Clear the cache and cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > advanced > network > storage (Cache) offline: 'clear now '.
'Delete Cookies' sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > privacy > Cookies: "show the Cookies".

Safe mode, so I can not access the Services via a Normal startup.
Services, including Security Center, Windows Update, SuperFetch needs to be restarted but Vista freezes outside Mode safe, so I can't access the Services via a Normal startup.
CHKDSK shows the hard drive has no bad points and the system works fine in Safe Mode.
No idea how to deal to freeze shortly after startup? Even McAfee should be started. No idea what order to these programs.
I've already eliminated at least 10 programs that were part of the start-up, after executing six miracle of Microsoft Diagnostics.* original title - problem of catch-22 with Vista freezes *.
Hello
1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?
I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.
Try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.
By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows XP:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

original title: administrator, f8 safe mode access
My computer problem begins with not being about to uninstall a program. I need administrator permissions. I am the administrator with a password. I'm not invited to give a. Nothng happens when I press a button with a shield on it. I received another message that tells me "unable to open the access control editor: the system cannot find the specified file. I found the instructions online to restart the computer (by pressing the F8 key) in safe mode. Once in safe mode I can essentially take possession of the C drive and reset admin ACCT. in SUMMARY, I can't have with using F8 safe mode (I tried once bagillion) so I can not get access to my admin account and therefore cannot uninstall my program. Can anyone help?
I don't know anything about "reset admin account" but here are two things that may help the case to start in safe mode. First, enter the mode safe mode with f8 key is a matter of time. On my computer (Dell) during the boot process, I'm going to get a screen send me options of start of f2 and f12, which is to enter the BIOS. I can start hitting key f8 then but you will in safe mode unless I'm hit immediately after that the screen with f2 & f12 choices goes. I just hit several times for a few moments at this time.
If this does not work for you, here's another possibility: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/force-windows-to-boot-into-safe-mode-without-using-the-f8-key/
