  This could be a problem with your graphics display driver.

  What graphics card to display that you have?

  Try disabling hardware acceleration in Firefox.

  Mac 10.5.8. I can't open FF - it crashes immediately. I tried to uninstall and reinstall FF and it still does the same thing. I restarted my computer too and started in safe mode.   You download it on another computer and copy on a DVD drive or USB key. You can then do a scan without starting Windows.

  This problem has been annoys me, because God knows how long and I just can't get rid of it, at least I have reset Firefox which is really not want I want to do just to get rid of this tiny but irritating problem.

  Last night my power went out during the upgrade to itunes.  (not sure if this has anything to do with it), but now my computer will not re - start.  It freezes in half way through even in safe mode.  The last line, it shows is system32\drivers\agpCPQ.sys

  I have a windows 64-bit computer that is running Windows 7. In recent months, Firefox has been crashing on opening - opening occasionally on the profile of my husband, but not mine. I now use IE9 running as administrator but would prefer to use Firefox.
  I can't adjust the settings, plugins etc that I can't open the program at all. After the first attempt, I go to the Task Manager and stop firefox.exe. Then when my next attempt to open I get the error again. I sent off the coast many reports of incidents at Mozilla.

  Hello
  I found my profile.ini for Firefox file by using the information in your message *http://kb.mozillazine.org/profiles.ini_file. There were 2 profiles in the ini file, so I deleted one and kept the other one who had the same name as the folder profile and saved the ini file. Bingo-test - Firefox works! I think the graphics card driver update helped also that IE works properly now as well.

It crashes immediately on startup every time anything and journalist accident happens. I studied all the articles and followed their suggestions. I installed the latest version of firefox and still get the same results. I can't even open firefox in safe mode.

  Heather, not sure I can help, I'm not a Mac user, but I'll have a look at the crashIDs that you provided.

  There are very few reports recent crash with this signature, they could even be your plant. If you follow the suggestions in the article I linked above there is not much that can be done easily. You should try discount the possibility that the cause is malware by scanning with several updated tools.

  Since I exhausted all angles throughout January and early February, I can't really identify what makes the difference, but today... IT WORKS NOW! Firefox has been removed from my computer for a few weeks now, so with renewed determination I searched all single folder on my entire hard drive and found 3 random files with mozilla or any part of the word inside mozilla and erased. I turned off the computer and restarted a few hours later.   Open on Firefox and saw a button, restart to update. (I was 17-point-something version thing. I clicked on it and got an instance of the crash reporter.   We updated firefox to the latest version the week last in a small number of the PC in the office. After the upgrade, Firefox continues to fail at the launch. Create a new Firefox profile does not help. This problem occurs with other users that connect on the same machine. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help. Safe mode not working anymore. It's just a continuous loop to break and we cannot go beyond it.

  The two machines with the problem so far under Windows 7 64-bit.

  Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
