  Hi guys,.

  I use a strange setting that I have to follow a set of rules.

  My problem is the following:

  I have a main VI (which is compiled into an EXE file) that dynamically loads and executes a Subvi (the Subvi is not compiled into the EXE file). Calls Subvi has overall functional which is called only by dynamic screws, where the global is not a dependency of handmade VI and it is not compiled into the EXE file either. As you can see already, when I call my Subvi dynamic for the first time (for example it behaves like a SET function), it will define the functional global; then, when the dynamic Subvi execution stops, it releases the global functional VI. So if I call another sub - VI dynamic as a function of READING, he will not retain the information specified by SET Subvi.

  I'm not allowed to do the subVIs or global one functional dependence of handmade VI and it can not be compiled into the EXE file, so what I have to do is load the Subvi Dynamics somehow and either keep in memory even when the execution ends, or keep the functional global in memory after the first call.

  Anyone know how I would be able to do this?

  When ' a VI dynamic calls functional overall for the first time, launch an another dynamic VI (Holder.vi) who has the functional overall as a Subvi.  Holder.VI does nothing except wait until the hand VI is called dynamic screws as long as Holder.vi is in memory, it will also keep the functional global in memory.

  I have not tried this, but think that it will work.  It of a little awkward, but must have a minimum size and impact on CPU resources.

  I moved home and brought my computer and printer with me. I chose a new access provider and sent the new router.

  My old House my computer and the printer/scanner worked fine. Now set up at the new House and I can print but it won't scan. The computer and peripheral HP are connected to the router. I uninstalled all the HP software and reinstalled. On the front of the printer if I select Scan of the computer he says not 'found computer.... ' Make sure that the feature is enabled"using the HP utility. But in the HP utility there is not the option "Scan to Computer" more. I used to be able to scan to the computer to the printer, and I used to have a scanning tab in system preferences / print and scan - but not more!

  Details of what I tried:

  1. Uninstalled HP software.
  2. System preferences / Print & Scan - removed all printers.
  3. On the front of the printer: you click Network and disconnected.
  4. Off, computer, printer and router.
  5. Tour of router on. The printer is turned on.
  6. Used the wireless configuration wizard.
  7. Chose my router - "Found WPS router".
  8. The router WPS button is pressed. 'Network connection' 'successful connection' (n.b. left wireless live 'Off').
  9. Turned computer on - check the connection to the router OK.
  10. System preferences / print and scan - Add printer. He sees my printer - I select this one.
  11. Option to download and install the software of Apple-selected.
  12. Printer appears in Print & Scan-Idle / green spot. There is a print tab and a scanning tab.

  14. In the HP utility, there is no "Analysis settings" or "Scan to Computer". There is "scan to E-mail and"Scan to Network".

  16. Check the built-in Web server. Wireless status is connected. On the scanning tab I can Webscan to computer (but only 1 page at a time - not good for multi-page documents!)

  First, make sure you have the latest firmware installed as follows:

• How sting/view images in memory without having to build the massive tables?

  I wrote a program that will capture up to 100 images, total of 500 MB.  I queue to each image (table 1 d of 12 bit) in a table of queues.  I would like to 'see' queues selectively capture data (but not destroy each queue) and display this data as a large stitched image.

  I was able to do this by building a table of each queue and manipulate rows/columns until the images are stitched in my model.  Does that create an another 500MB of memory lost since I 'copy' the queue data in another table?

  Also, is there an easier way to do this?

  IV wrote an example that seems to be the most progressive option in the construction of a large image to present its restriction to the use of grayscale (U8) and only built a training table 1 d.

  It is a requirement that you can access the separate images after that that they were sewn.

• Windows 8 pro upgrade from Vista Home premium - abandonment of the facility after having successfully performed the wizard upgrade reboot

  I started the process of upgrading to Windows Vista Edition Family Premium to Windows 8 Pro by using the relevant DVD purchased from amazon.co.uk.

  Setup.exe automatically runs 'prepare' the PC for the Windows installation. The option allows to select personal folders are to remember, I chose 'Nothing' (I also tried another option). After reaching 100% of the given progress the PC is reset.

  The blue brand (8) window so that the circle of progress under and then all of a sudden I get an instant error on a light blue background, something like: ":-(". The installation could not be completed.

  I'm not sure of the message because it only flashes for a second and then reboots the PC. Back to the Vista, a message from window 8 installation could not be completed without further indication of what might have gone wrong.
  Some information on my system:
  Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.5
  (Pentium Dual-Core E5200)
  6 GB OF RAM
  Important: During the described process I had a dual boot OS, Ubuntu 12 and Windows Vista. Then I formatted all realizing finally that it is explicitly a DVD upgrade and it won't work for any new installation.
  In any case, I'm really frustrated by the upgrade experience. I never had something similar, not even with Trash OS like Windows Me.
  Any feedback/direction would be really appreciated. Thank you.

  I want to thank you for posting on the thread.
  After some trial and error, I finally had. Here's what I did:
  I started by trying to install Windows 7 to then use as the basis for the upgrade of Windows 8 (Vista installation was not good enough since it is 32-Bit allows do not directly upgrade to 64-bit operating system)-here I was getting an exception (BLUE) screen with the error code several different so I started to answer one by one
  1 removed all USB and other devices outside mouse & keyboard (lock was apparently a Logitech camera)
  2 update BIOS of ASUS motherboard to the latest version
  3. I had two different pairs of RAM modules using different frequencies. (2x2gb, 2 x 1 GB). I removed a pair.
  Everything worked well, Windows 7 was installed successfully, and then I continued with an upgrade of Windows 8 smooth.
  Lessons learned: incompatibilities HW should consider significant problems during the upgrade.

  Running Windows 7 with all updates. Starting with version 29.0.1 of Firefox, Firefox often hangs when I go out.   This is a bug in Firefox 29 where Firefox crashes out when the setting 'clear history of Firefox closing' is selected.

  If you use custom settings for history in your Firefox Privacy options and selecting 'Clear history of Firefox closing', remove the checkbox. See this article for more details:

  I just sort this problem! I restarted with modules disabled and started allowing one by one and found it had a problem with one of them. I have now deleted add it on and all is well back. Hope this works for you too!

• Skype not opening after having moved to the Applications folder

  Back a few months ago, I downloaded Skype on my computer. I was still pretty unfamiliar with the Mac at the time, so I was not very well what to do with the dmg that I got. Simply do not know better, I ended up launching Skype from the dmg. That's how I used Skype until very recently. A few months after this happened, I learned that you were supposed to copy the application in the Applications folder on the dmg. However I did not worth to fix this error until now (in order to remove this disk image of Skype sitting there). I deleted the Skype of the dmg icon on my dock and copied in the Applications folder. I then tried to run, but it crashed before it could do something. The main window of Skype did not appear.

  If it's worth anything, there is a very old version of Skype on this computer, the surplus of when a member of the family used a few years ago. However Skype on the dmg would be fine, so I doubt that this could be the culprit.
