  I tried to open Firefox this morning, but it does not open. I use Win 8.1. I tried to open it with shortcuts and programs files. I tried to reboot the system. Nothing seems to work. Chrome and IE times open & connect to the internet.

  I could find no conflict with the firewall or security software.

  I didn't know what to do, so I downloaded a new copy of Firefox and installed without banishing what already existed. After that, Firefox open right & I still had all my favorites and saved passwords. In any case, it now works fine.

  I have the same problem as several others have posted.
  Have a HTC a M8
  It was working fine with Firefox until the 5.0.1 Android update Lollipop was installed today.
  Firefox does not work - it just opens and crashes to the count of 5. To send the report. Restart, done the same thing.
  Tried - uninstalling and reinstalling (last version via GooglePlay). Empty the cache. Boot into recovery and clearing the cache partition.
  None of these elements of fixed the problem.
  Fix Firefox for my phone soon! I'm a Web site developer and need my Firefox. Not to mention I don't like these other options. Although the Chrome and the Dolphin seem to work very well. Please don't use these other guys.

Make sure that the extension is. app. You can do this by going to Finder > Applications > Firefox > right click and click on the button "Get Info."   I found the solution page about this to Firefox and followed the instructions - closed FF, open in Mode safe, is go to Add - ons and changed my theme to the default.

  Then I closed FF and it has reopened.

  The solution worked. (yay)

  Later, however, I had the same problem when I tried to open Firefox again.

  I went through the steps of opening Safe Mode but my theme was already by default, so I changed to another and then changed back to the value default, FF closed and then reopened.

  When I had the same problem, once again, I went through the above step and then uninstalled all the themes, but the default value. (Or so I thought).

  The next time I tried to open FF, the same ole error message came. I did the fix mode safe, FF has closed and then reopened.

  However, another message came:

  So, I could not click on the link for Flagfox error because I had to close the 2 windows to go to FF Safe-Mode to get rid of the error Add-ons/themes.

  By chance you have Personas Plus installed, if you do so in safe mode you can access the Add-ons Manager and either disable or uninstall, that should solve your problems.

  The error messages indicate that the add-on FlagFox is the cause of the problems, but Personas Plus version 1.6 is currently havoc with Add-ons.   FF stopped working entirely. I have uninsalled 14.0.1 13 and reinstalled. Who has not solved the problem. I get msg that FF is already running, but it is not running and does not appear in the Manager of tasks as an active process. Scan of the machine for viruses using PrevX shows a clean machine. I tried many ideas in this support website but am limited since I don't have the ability to run the FF. • 27 Firefox does not work under sandboxie 4.08

  After the update to version 26 27 version, Firefox opens not under Sandboxie 4.08. My XP Task Manager indicates that Firefox is running as a process, but not as a running application. I tried everything and then some, and nothing seems to fix this. I don't really like running UN-sandbox. I've also posted this problem on the Sandboxie forum, and other people are having the same problem. I think the problem is with the last update for Firefox and not of Sandboxie since all previous versions of Firefox have worked perfectly under Sandboxie.

  I really appreciate all the comments on this issue. What I finally did to solve the problem, is to return to an earlier version of Firefox, version 25.0.1. Update version 26 removed a feature that I liked and, of course, the problem of sandboxing with version 27. I read in a previous post that someone was successful with the version 27 by downloading the full version of Firefox 27 sandboxed and install on their existing installation of Firefox rather than return help > about Firefox > check updates which is what I did. Still overall, the road I took should not have any problem with Sandboxie since he has never done before. Of course I've always updated outside the sandbox. I closed Firefox completely by clicking file > exit; Open UN - sandbox; updated; then re-open Firefox with the "Web Browser sandbox" desktop icon.
