Firefox reports random good as obsolete or incompatible extensions

I have the backup set nero to an incremental backup at 1330 hours weekly/Saturday. After the backup report "Download fate" Firefox and incompatible forecastbar, where they were initially reported as compatible. Had to install roboform twice as a site to download update was not updated itself. This may be part of show, as FF is sensitive to how can remove / install in a session.

This has happened

Each time Firefox opened

Is after the installation of update and delete, reinstall because the wrong version of Roboform.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with Nero Backup, but Firefox is sensitive to other programs to play with the Firefox data files, especially when Firefox is running. I don't really see why a backup program that makes a copy of the data files Firefox would cause a problem like that, while Firefox is closed. If Firefox was opened when the backups are done, who knows what broke and why.

No chance that Firefox was running at the time these backups were made?

As a note, Firefox does not have compatibility information for all extensions in the Firefox user data files, it gets this information from the Mozilla Org Addons server as she needs, or when you "Check for Updates" for extensions.
That said, Roboform is not hosted by AMO longer so it would not / should not be performed in the same way that are extensions of the AMO hosted.

I don't know the answer, except to the do not have Nero Backup for backups when Firefox is running. l is recommended that you contact the Nero Support to see if they have an answer for you. IMO, I think Nero can have some fixing to do with their backup application compatible with versions of Firefox 3.6.

Norton was causing a similar problem with the compatibility of extensions in Feb & Mar, but they caused this problem every time that Firefox users are opened for the first time after a PC boot or a reboot routine. These clowns to Norton have been deleting the file of extension key, where is stored the compatibility information in Firefox user data files, when Windows is started.

I am using a navigation button in my HTML, workng is fine, but on firefox-30 view of my button browse is not good, can someone help me to fix it in my code?

Is it possible that this field is 'necessary' and what is called by a rule for admission: required in your CSS? This is not new in Firefox 30, but perhaps it was twisted (there are hundreds of variations in each version...). Otherwise, it is hard to imagine why you'd have a ring after using the control and not before.

  • My phone can't use Firefox Sync, says she is "obsolete".

On my Samsung Galaxy S Blaze running Ice Cream Sandwich, I'm suddenly having trouble with Firefox Sync. It was working fine yesterday, and today, I noticed that an update of Firefox for Android has been installed.

So I'll try to send a tab of my phone directly to my computer, but no dice. I already checked the "Accounts and sync" part of my phone settings. Firefox Sync is listed with the correct e-mail address, and I have not deleted my phone in the list of devices allowed for my account. Curiously, Firefox Sync is shown as being obsolete. My phone literally contains my e-mail address and under it "Firefox Sync (not recommended).

Glad to know that it works again.

Apparently, development and maintenance of the abstract has been suspended. No doubt, you will be able to find a similar extension or use a slightly different workflow.

As for the problem of Flash Player. It is usually best keep the latest version of FlashPlayer. The Flash Player itself support site may be able to shed some light on your problem. Disable the Safe_mode Adobe is relatively simple and easy to do by changing a config file and may be worth a try. If the change does not help, it is reversed in a similar way.

Another thing to consider is testing with hardware acceleration off and possibly updated or even roll back updates the graphics driver.

  • In the browser toolbar buttons Firefox moves randomly

Sometimes the toolbar buttons (home, back, forward, etc.) when I open Firefox browser moves randomly in the navigation toolbar. After manually adding the buttons/change of position things work our fine for a while, but at some point, this happens again after opening a browser window.

Usually, it's the same 'bad' position that appears: the Back and Foward buttons remain in place but Home button has been moved to the right of the address and the search box area while refresh and Stop buttons disappeared.

What is the problem? Add - ons? Plugins? Something else?

Looks like a problem with the localstore.rdf file in the Firefox profile folder.

You have (security) software that can protect and restore an old copy of this file?

Note that the default of the home button position is at the far right of the Navigation bar and the Reload/Stop/Go handset button is positioned on the side of the right end of the address bar where you have also the star to bookmark web pages.

  • Firefox crashes randomly and without warning

    Hello

I have a problem with my Firefox crashing constantly, any Web page I'm on. Sometimes it crashes after I've been online for a few minutes, sometimes it crashes immediately on startup. I just never know when it's going down, but he always does. I completed all the steps listed on the Web site of your support:

       Update your software
           Update Firefox
           Update your plugins
           Update Windows
           Update your drivers
           Update your Internet Security software
       Check for viruses or spyware
Check to see if the crash happens in safe mode.

I did all that, and the crash always happens in Mode without failure. I am still able to connect for a few minutes between the accidents, but as you can imagine is pretty boring. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Firefox reports an error of TLS for a website that I trust, but provides no way to override the error message.

For a few months (end of 2015) Firefox returned an error of "secure connection failed" when I try to access my account at a major insurance. The site worked fine in Firefox for years and works very well with Microsoft Edge, but I prefer to use Firefox. The link "more info" in the error message indicates that the message the site uses outdated TLS security and I have to contact the owners to tell them to update. I've tried and failed; Blue Cross makes it even more difficult to "contact us" that Mozilla does.

Why is there no no "I trust this site - go anyway" option? I'm experienced enough to make my own decisions of safety.

Thank you! The security.tls.version.max had been "user set" with a value of 1, and I have reset as you indicated. The value is now 3 and I could access my Blue Cross account normally.

I guess that dates this problem when I got my new computer and did a new install of Firefox to August 10. The TLS parameter is perhaps one provided with the download.

BTW, I noticed BitDefender in the news of the page also. The error page didn't identify its source; 'other info' led to support from Mozilla, but I was wondering if my antivirus was the culprit. Apparently, this is the setting in place of security of Firefox.

    Problem solved, thank you, jscher2000!
