Firefox's search appears after the screenshot

Since the update to Firefox 35, when I take a screenshot in holding the home and power keys together, Firefox search pop up with a list of my Firefox search history and invites research. How can I disable this? 4.4 Android

I think I know your problem.

In android, later versions in settings, when long pressing the home button, you can do to make a search, shown in the screenshot below. Try to change this in the settings - buttons - and under the home button, tap "action press and hold on" change what it will do for a long time in a hurry. I hope this helps so that you can take a screenshot but elsewhere!

If this does not work, then I'm puzzled too. Sorry for the inconvenience, but at least you have found another way to take a screenshot!

Wow, I had a lot of misspellings

  • Firefox does not appear on the start menu until I type the whole word in the search box of start.

    Original title:

    Search ranking

I like to use research to launch programs - press the windows key, type "ste" press on enter and steam launches, for example.  However, for firefox, I have to type the whole word.  Is there a way to define the search so that when I type "fire" or even "tree" firefox is the first element of the research?

Also of note – is Firefox used to come as the first item of research when I typed "fire", but now it is not even detected until I type the word in full. What could have changed to do this, and how I can solve this problem (for as far as I know that I didn't change the search options or other parameters that could lead to this).

  • How can I disable the suggestion to "Improve Firefox" which appeared after the update of FF8? No any choice allows to avoid the appearance of popup the next time.

I use FF8 with Selenium RC test infrastructure. When I installed the last update of FF contextual dialog YesNo "You want to contribute to improve..." ' began to appear before each test is run. Thus, the test stopped running on this popup and my problem is that I can not disable this popup for next time. I want to say I select Yes or no, popup disappears, but still appears in the next round of tests. How can I disable this popup at all?

Hi guys! Thanks to all of you for the cooperation and ready to help. I have summarized all your advice, so the following 3 steps unravel the problem for FF8 and do my tests to run fine:

    1. Create and configure a new FF profile, using these instructions and suggestions . Don't put your FF to the default profile at the end.
    2. Then follow the first 6 steps by SafeBrowser (see above) to the new profile. Switch to the default profile (in firefox - p).
    3. Don't forget to use your new profile when you run the selenium Server (-firefoxProfileTemplate command line parameter) or the value of selenium to use this profile when starting a browser to Salenece.

Text appears at least 15 seconds after I start typing, pages take a long time to load, if I click on something, it takes 15 seconds to show any response. If Firefox is on the screen, the mouse moves more slowly. Everything worked perfectly right, until I deleted the browser cache. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:

Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.

    1. Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
    2. Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
    3. Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
      • Windows:

        • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
        • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
      • Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
      • Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
    4. Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
      1. Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
      2. Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.

More information on the resettlement of Firefox can be found here.
