First start of time without battery

I ordered a HP Pavilion G6 2051SD and in the meantime that it I plan on what I'll do once I gett it.

Well part of it, is that I won't be able to keep my hands of it and wait for the battery to charge. So I was wondering if there are harmful to the laptop if the first time I started it would be without battery. I have heard many different arguments on how to deal with a battery, but nothing about the laptop.

What is more, it's a laptop that I intend to use most often connected. So is - that it is better if I keep it at full capacity or more around 50% is stored?

Hello

When your laptop arrives, just insert battery, plug in the power adapter and start the machine.  It is quite Ok to be implemented the specification - the battery will continue to charge while you do this without any problem.

It is certainly very well run Notepad on just the AC adapter - if you're going to be doing this for the extended period of time, drain the battery to about 40% before storing in a cool place.

Regarding the maintenance of the battery once a month, reinsert the battery, turn the machine on and let the battery fully charged.  Unplug the AC adapter and let the unit run until you start getting a "low battery" warning  Completely load it again, then let the battery drain to about 40%.  Shut down the laptop, remove the battery and store it separately in a cool place.  Repeat this procedure each month will help you keep your battery in good condition.

Hello! I use a PC and have problems loading my homepage of Muse. First of all, I made one with the address "nordensstjarnor" and updated several times without any problems. And once, I couldn't download on 'nordensstjarnor' any longer. Don't know why, when he got the address "nordensstjrnor". That me ok at first, but now I really need to give the first address once again, "nordensstjarnor". But when I try, the alternative of the site of ' publish on ' old isn't here. And if I try to create a new one, but with the old URL, the box turns red. What can I do?

The reason why you cannot change nordensstjarnor.businesscatalyst.com is because a different Adobe ID is used for the publication of this site.

t * [email protected] is used for the publication of nordensstjarnor.businesscatalyst.com

t s. * [email protected] is used for the publication of nordensstjarnorindex.businesscatalyst.com

You must make sure that Adobe ID is used in account publish, so that you can see a list of the websites published under this account. Go in Edition > Preferences > publish on Business Catalyst > publish with accounts

You can pass the accounts for you can also make changes to the sites.

  • HP - 15 laptop: the estimated time to battery is incorrect!

I recently got a new HP 15 notebook and I noticed that the estimated remaining battery time acted strange. When the battery is at 99%, the estimated time is 5 hours but 98%, 7 hours; and it's not always 7, I saw 9 as well. The point is, my laptop was caused the range estimated by a draw.

    Hi @Mannat

Welcome to the HP's Support Forum!

I understand that you are facing problem with the estimated time of battery.
I'd be happy to help you.

    Please follow the steps below
Step 1: We will try everything first uninstall and reinstall the software of battery.
Step 2: Click on Start and type device in the search for field, and then select Device Manager.
Step 3: In the batteries category, right-click in the list of Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method and choose Uninstall.
Step 4: WARNING: Do not remove the Microsoft AC adapter driver or any other compatible ACPI driver.
Step 5: In the taskbar from the Device Manager, click on search for the hardware changes.
Step 6: Windows will scan your computer for hardware which has not installed the drivers and will install the necessary drivers to manage the battery power.

I also recommend the battery calibration.

I found a few Documents Support HP's wonderful for this.
    Calibration of the battery
Uninstalling and reinstalling the battery software

Let me know how it goes

  • Satellite A100-283 - does not start every time so I've created workaround

    Hey guys,.

I have a problem with my A100-283. A few weeks ago the laptop just hung and I stopped it the hard way by removing just the battery (I know, bad idea, shouldn't have done...)

After that it wouldn't start. Or through battery with the adapter is plugged. There was no more noise fan, or beep or anything like that, just a few LEDs + turn signals for a fraction of a second (capslock + numlock and some of the front LEDs).

The next day I tried again - and it booted up fine, everything seemed to work again. But off it again the same problem appeared.
Now there is no more guarantee on the A100, so I disassembled and welded in a new BIOS battery because I thought that this could be the problem.
    After reassembling, the problem remains.

    * But now I found a 'solution' to get the boot the laptop upward once again, *.
It is just that it's really annoying to have to do this every time you start. Sometimes it always starts in the usual way, I think that it always depended on time, it has been turned off. The book has been extinguished, more lucky to start normally.

But back to the workaround. I press the power button, the LEDs blink in no time. I continue to press the button, and after 5 seconds or more, the LEDs blink once (I think that the laptop lights somehow without any fan noise or anything, and if I continue to press on, it stops again). After that, I always do it by pressing the button for 10 seconds. Subsequently, I release her and push it again and it will start up just as it should. This method works 10 out of 10 times.

Now, someone please tell me, is it possible to run the normal way?
An update of the BIOS might help? My BIOS version is 2.00.

Please do not come upwards with the support from Toshiba, as I already don't said, no guarantee, then it would probably be cheaper to buy just one more...

    Hope someone has an idea.

    > More book was off, more a chance to start normally
Perhaps this problem could be related to overheating I mean if the temperature of parts would be more raised then usual, then such question could appear

Unfortunately, but it's the only plausible explanation for me

The issue could also well be linked to the motherboard failure, everything is possible

But I see you don't want to hear about ASP and laptop technicians. Well in this case, you will have to diagnose the failure yourself

    Good luck

  • A series of work without battery Satellite Pro

    Hello
I use my Toshiba mostly inside, so I decided to use it without battery. Fact it prolongs the life of the battery when start using it again outdoors (or it has no impact on the battery life, I mean ripping off the battery)?

Another problem is at this time to remove the battery. When it is completely dead, or when it is charged?

    Thanks in advance

    (sory for English mistakes)

I agree with the codes, but to be honest I do not remove the battery from the laptop. From time to time you should completely discharge the battery and everything will be ok.

  • Equium L40 - 14 l works without battery?

I'm having some problems with this laptop and try and work, what to do, I need help with the following:

    (1) the laptop turns on and works as usual if the battery is removed and it is plugged.
    (2) the orange charge light was solid for a while and then started to blink before the laptop turnt itself off the power.

I thought that the laptop should always light being plugged in, even without a battery, but it does not do.

Any ideas of what could be the cause? I tried another charger, but am still having problems to start.

    Thank you very much

    # Of course. You can use it with AC power only
    # There must be a problem with the power supply.

Unfortunately I can't give you a precise answer, but if you can't use your laptop with AC power only (without battery) there must be a problem with electronic power supply on the motherboard and you should contact Toshiba service.

  • Equium M50-164: Question about timer use & battery fan

    Hello!!

Just put your hands on my laptop equium m50-164 today and I wanted to clarify a few issues

    first of all,

I flashed my bios with the latest version and after restarting, fan kicks at full power and has not extinguished until I put the laptop in standby mode, this seemed to fix the problem but fan seems suddenly in much more than compared to before, fortunately the fan isn't the one 100% , but more like 15-20% every 30 seconds or one minute then goes into silent mode the fan does not reach 100%, unless I have do a reboot :),.

I know the fan will accelerate faster based on the use of the processor (thermal) etc. but is this normal? I talked to support and they wanted me to have an immediate replacement, but I said that I would wait a few days to see if she could calm :)

and finally looking at the electricity meter and other software tools there seems to be no calibration of the battery, with previous laptops, I noticed that numeric calculations are made based on the use of the battery and time [i.e. a timer] but with this laptop that I kind find a timer - I would of thought tha any computer laptop has this facility today!

    any advice would help

    see you soon

    Ephid0r UK

    Hi ephid0r

If the Toshiba service makes an instant replacement if you should take it.
Maybe there's something wrong with the hardware or software.

But as Feliks has suggested, you must first reinstall the Toshiba Power Manager.
This utility is responsible for the CPU and the cooling module activations.

PS: The time of battery life indication occurs if you move the cursor over the icon of standby power.

    Hello

You can enable the detection of wrist as well as an access code and unlock it with the iPhone:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: My Watch (low left tab) > General > wrist Detection - this turns on.
    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > Passcode > Passcode turn on (choose a Simple 4 digit access code or a longer).
      • Also in the password settings screen, select Unlock with iPhone.

After putting on your wrist, your watch don't unlock then after whatever you do first: unlock your watch manually or unlock your iPhone. Then, it will remain unlocked until you delete the monitoring of your wrist, when that it locks automatically.

You can also set your watch to the screen to reactivate automatically when you lift your wrist, even select what is displayed on the screen to wake up:

    • On your iPhone, in the application of the watch, go to: Watch My > General > screen Wake:
      • Active screen Wake on revival of wrist, and;
      • Choose if the watch should resume last activity or see the Face of the watch.
  • Start slow time 700-25ISH 90ED

    I just bought a 700-25ISH Ideacentre 90ED

I installed a samsung SSD 850 evo but boot time seems far too slow for this kind of machine spec

I tried both legacy and UEFI but there is very little difference, actually start legacy is actually faster that shouldn't be the case that it should be faster in UEFI

Turn on the quick start in windows made zero difference is he should do, it's just take 10 times longer to stop without increase in boot speed

My old dell vostro 470 with the same type of SSD starts in about 10 seconds, but this machine takes about 30 seconds

Just doesn't seem right to me that what should be a much faster pc takes 3 times as long to start something 4 years, this is supposed to be an upgrade!

10 64-bit windows running and installed clean in order to avoid all the bloatware etc.

When it is up and running it is fine, all this support almost instantly as you imagine starting an SSD is just starting the time I don't understand

problem solved after doing some logical thinking

SATA controller has been installed with the windows base driver only

Lenovo does not provide fast storage Setup intel on the support section of the site (don't know why)

I managed to find on the site of Hp after doing a bit of research to find a machine with the same chipset

Installed the driver for the SATA controller and hey presto!

Now start as I expected, fast boot works now (boot up in 6 seconds press the button I kid you not) still do not use quick start, it takes more than one minute to close

Someone should really get this driver on the site, I noticed that even the original stored on the HARD disk image does not use it and it makes a huge difference for startup speed, he literally cut in two

  • First life of load and battery

So I played around a bit with my new Sansa Sport before full charge (settings and copy music). Now, my question is: how important is supported first before you do something with the device? What effect do not have a full charge first of all does the battery life these days?

I'm not aware he does (in other words, it is a question) - but manf. tend to note that a device load first before using it, probably because it is unclear how much load a particular device can have the opening of the box and the manf. would not want the feeder down when for the first time in service or in the middle of some important initial task (for example, an update of the firmware).

  • Laptop without battery

Is there something bad for the laptop to run without battery but is connected directly to the transformator?

As far as I know the only downside is when there is a power cut - time close offsets are never desirable.

Consult your manufacturer's website to find out how to extend the battery life. I mean by 'life' time before the battery continues to charge properly and should be replaced.

My laptop (presario CQ20-320TU) turn directly every time I plug the power cord without battery. What is the solution?

    Hi there @emonsonjaya,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand that your notebook is turn on/off automatically when it is plugged. I'm happy to help you.

I would recommend that you look at your BIOS, especially in power options and check if your BIOS has a setting option on automatically. If yes it change at your convenience.  Another option would be to update your BIOS and see if that solves it.

Here is the page of support for your model and, if necessary, give it a try, it will automatically download the file if you click on the link. You then need to run the executable file of your current download folder.

If you are having problems with an update of the BIOS, you can always restore it, using the following:
