  I have a problem with the driver for the Intel USB 3.0 eXtensible host controller on my L50 (running Win7 64 bit).

  I recently took my L50 Pro Satelite (PSKK3A-001001) to the repair shop because the blue ports were not running at speeds of USB 3.0 when I plugged a USB 3.0 compatible device (a WD 1 TB HARD drive). When I looked in the device tab "Display connection" Manager, HARD drive showed as connected to the ordinary C220 USB hub which is for USB.2.0. USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller has been inactive.

  The technician in the repair shop said:

  + I tested your machine with a new installation of Windows 8 and have been able to achieve speeds to 180 MB/s of my FlashDrive USB 3.0 without problem, which indicates that it is a matter of faulty software.   It's not really good enough, Toshiba. Now, I bought this machine specifically with pre-installed Win7 (because Win8 is rubbish) that I wanted a machine Win7, including USB 3.0 ports. This machine has been published as such, having Win7 installed with 2 x USB 3.0 ports and 1 x USB 2.0.   I have a Satellite Pro A200 - PSAE1E.

  The CD/DVD was working fine and then stopped. I put in another CD and it went through the process of trying to find - but could not.
  It ejects the disc. I tried with other CD in the same direction. Yellow light works during the research process.

  I tried to remove the CD from the Device Manager and remove entries of regedit (as suggested on another thread) all without success.

  Is it possible to boot from the recovery disc?
  I mean the CD/DVD drive reads the original disc Toshiba and it of possible to read other CD or DVD from different manufacturers?

  If all the other disks are not readable then the question looks like a WEIRD error and in most cases the STRANGE must be replaced.

  PS: Please note that if you try to boot from the recovery disc then start a recovery procedure will format the HARD drive and reinstall it the entire image of Toshiba.

  Not quite sure, why some of your FN buttons stopped working, but the fact is that utility support memory card Flash controls the FN keys and you should try to restart Flash cards first.

  Select all programs-> Toshiba-> Flash cards, and then restart the tool.
