The computer is a Dell Studio 1737 plenty of core duo memory 4 MB with plenty of space on hard drive and it seems to do well but all the * running in the background makes it run hot so the fan. All I want to do is get a scan for my installed bios system and install an updated version. I am not able to do at Dell. Maybe they want me to pay to support or something. I did all the FixIt of ms, I ran three different registry cleaners, I ran three viruses different scans, nothing. I've loaded my vista dell disk and tried to recover or repair and cannot do it either. I notice weird things with ie. I've done several downloads for versions 32 and 64 bit, to do the right thing.   The E198WFP put on sale in 2007 was never designed to support Windows 7/8. If the driver (DELL_E198WFP_A00-00_R183804. (EXE) is incorrect and should never have been posted.
