Fix virus WMP

He seems to have picked up a virus in my Media Center audio files (Patsy Cline appears and my WMP has a clean mind - it can not control)... Is it possible to delete all of my Windows 7 Media Center, and then reinstall it without the virus?   chromakeyblue

Hello

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT and add Prevx to be sure that he is gone.

    Hey
My laptop LG has a problem or two. I accidentally downloaded a vicious spyware that does not solve my AVG free for some reason any. I went online to look for solutions to my problem, and I came across this page which had instructions on how to get rid of the type of spyware, I've had. I followed the steps, installed Malwarebyte Anti-Malware and did a full scan and apparently, he got rid of all malicious software, but is 3 weeks later and I still have a lot of problems. "Google Installer has stopped working" appears randomly every few minutes no matter what I do. Some programs, such as Firefox, opened yet when I clicked on them. nothing happens. "Windows Explorer has stopped working" is another pop up randomly commune. When I open google and search for something, no matter what result I click on that go to some random lame search site and I have to click on the result several times if I want to go to the web page, I'm trying to do. I tried to do a restore of the system several times, both in normal and safe mode and at each time the computer restarts after "running" the restoration, he said that the restoration could not be completed.
Also, when I right-click programs, as when I typed "cmd" in the search box (in order to fix my problems) and right-click, the computer just does not and says "Windows Explorer is not responding" so I find that solutions to the problems of most of the people can not fix mine because my computer is missing something basic that allows people to do such basic things as the right-click stuff.
I'm unbelievable frustrated and at my wit's end and be a student of the University, I really need this laptop and I have almost no money to spend to get this laptop repaired. I do not understand why System Restore does not work and why the other basic things do not work.

Even my Start menu options and the Office were empty and the task manager has been disabled.

I tried to restore my laptop but no luck.

Please help me get rid of this virus.

I've never seen any person related Microsoft solve this problem (no Microsoft KB article), but you can fix it using the instructions and tools to other people who actually thought of it and actually know how to repair and have actually fixed properly (without a lot of difficult things that might work sometimes maybe).

You need as a result of suggestions from people who have actually seen and that fixed it and not people who have never really seen or actually fixed and have no idea how to solve this problem.

And I don't know of many contributors to the forum very well - I'm no Microsoft Support and the support engineers talking Microsoft product.

Avoid the wild goose huntingSupport Engineer.

If any Microsoft Support person wants their infected system like this on purpose so you can actually learn how to solve this problem, I'll be happy to tell you how.  I can assure you that the solution is not in all the Microsoft KB articles.

Here are two links that you read through that show you how to fix this familiar problem.  I read through them all the way in poking around on our system and then when you know what you have, apply the instructions to work.

Grinler, BleepingComputer, published detailed instructions and has the executable that you need (unhide.exe) to see the rest of your articles:

  • Delete a file called "wre.exe", now two of my virus scanners will not work and nor does internet Explorer, how to fix?

I took my computer to the shop twice to fix the same virus, and then I got it again. This time, I decided to try to fix myself because obviously they couldn't do it, despite having taken $200 from me.

my mother gave me Norton antivirus, and its history has shown me where the file kept showing in taskmanager, so I went there and deleted. the virus seems to have disappeared and to a large extent, my computer seems to work but I can't run microsoft security essentials or antimalware bytes. haven't tried my other programs yet, but I know that I can still read PDF files, and I can see my photos. the icon of internet explore doesn't work, I got in line to say things to try to find the file online. whenever I try to go online, or use one of my two antivirus, it tells me to choose a program to use to open it.

is there anyway that I can fix this? really get rid of the virus? I can't afford to have this fixed thing again, and of course, they are unable to him anyway.

If you like not what it was, I think it was called xp antivirus 2012 or something similar.

in fact, its virus programs not only blocking, his block anything that does not use another program to run, like adobe or realplayer. I am sure that it changed something. I'll try this thing to scan in any case, just to see if it finds anything. If it isn't, I have no choice but to do a complete reinstall of windows.

is there a risk to the installation of an operating system from an obsolete drive severely? as in will be my computer be infected again until he finally update all the way?

First of all, you can not delete a file by using the Task Manager. You can choose to terminate a process but cannot remove a file that you have indicated above in your initial post.

Second, you can't have the two Microsoft Security Essentials and Norton installed on the same machine. Conflict reducing your coverage and possibly even cause a blue screen.

Thirdly, you are unable to open due to the malware programs change you file associations of executable files.

Fourthly, you have problems to connect to the internet most likely because the malicious software modified your internet connection settings.

It will be easy to fix if you follow my instructions carefully.

With the help of a good working computer and flash drive you mentioned above download the four files below save them on the flash drive.

Now take the flash drive for infected patients. Open the flash drive. Right-click on XpExeFix.reg and choose merge. Confirm the prompt. You should receive a message that the information has been added to the registry.

Then, double-click RemoveProxy and run it. Once the operation is completed, you should be able to access the internet. If you are unable to run the file go to the step below and run RKill and then return to this step.

Then, from the flash drive double click on RKill and choose to run it. It may take a while to complete but, just let it run. You will get a window similar to that of the command prompt and must be informed when the process is complete.

Once the RKill completed, double-click Malwarebytes and choose to install it. Update to update the installation, then run a full scan. Remove any detected object. If you are unable to update just for some reason any run it.

Post when you have completed these steps for additional instructions.

    Hello

My computer is a Dell Dimension E521 with a 64-bit AMD Athlon processor.

My PC is running Windows XP Home Edition.

I restarted my computer and I found myself with a blue screen with an error message that looks like this:

    There is a problem

Windows stopped to protect your computer.

If this is the first time, you've seen this screen restart your computer if this isn't the case, disable or uninstall all software antivirus, defrag software, backup software and then restart your computer.

    How can I fix it?

I tried following instructions on screen ther, but as I can not even access windows Safe Mode or one of the other options avaialable on the previous black screen I don't know what to do...

I asked a speaker to the work that might be able to help and I followed her instructions to restart the system from a cd, but all, I found myself with a blue screen which revealed the following:

Installation of Windows XP Professional at the top and by examining the 238418 MB disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi...

When I press F12 to display the boot options, it gives me an option to run the hard drive diagnostics?

    It would help me atall?

    Hi joel.

    Your information really help!

I tried to restart it a Windows XP disc and got in what concerns the installation of a new installation of Windows XP... then it froze just!

The screen said something like this:

Installation of Windows XP Professional at the top and by examining the 238418 MB disk 0 at Id 0 on bus 0 on atapi...

When he asked me if I wanted to I wanted to repair a current installation of Windows XP or install a new do you think I should have pressed R to repair?

I was using a professional Windows XP disk and not Windows XP Home Edition, do you think this could be the problem?

I have a Windows XP Edition family multiboots disc is what it takes?

    Said Chaos_Edit chkdsk causes problems?

What is the difference between chkdsk /r and chkdsk: / f?

    Thank you bro

    Respect

    Try to repair first.

Put the disc in and go ahead and use the chkdsk command.

    You have no more options.

You can't run windows, then you must fix it.

    Equip the drive.

    When the screen

    Press r

    type in

    Chkdsk /f

    Press ENTER.

    and wait.

If this does not work, I suggest a restoration of the system, or the start of the last known configuration.

If these two do not work, you will need to reinstall windows.
