  I had my 1.5 JDK value, but my Version of Java under Java preferences has been set at 1.5 64-bit, I've changed that to 1.5 32 bit and all is well.

  I developed a web page that connects to a database, reads data and it shows on the screen. I use HTTPService to connect to a php server that supports MySQL data. Everything is OK when I run the Flex Builder web page, but when I run the page doing double click on the file released .html the connection fails and the program generates this error:

  Previously, I also faced the same problem when working with Php as the Backend, the problem is that Flex does not call your PHP page

  It is the way I solved it to export your Flex Project at Flex Release Build.

  Right click on the export of project---> Flex project---> Release Build---> copy all the files on your server where all of your PHP files are and then call the application from the browser

• Flex Builder Alpha 2 installation problem

  I have the Flex Builder Alpha 2 installation problem on my Fedora 8 64-bit. Basically, as soon as I click on the license agreement, the installer says "Please wait, Adobe_Flex_Builder_Linux is configured for your system. This may take a moment... "and then no progress at all. There is no error on the console. Someone knows how to fix this?

  Finally I discovered that I could not install the Flex Builder because my system is running IcedTea 1.7 x86_64. Once I turn it on to another Java (1.5.0 - gcj), the Setup program works like charm. I guess that's because the installation program stops somehow when running on IcedTea.

• Problem in Flex Builder user interface after installation of Flex 3

  So, here's an interesting question. And my apologies in advance if it has been reported before. But I spent the greater part of two days, installation / uninstallation / cleaning / resettlement. However, still having the problem with Flex Builder 3:
  
  After the launch of Flex Builder 3, I create a new project and "right click" on the name of the project in the browser in Flex in order to launch the 'Properties' dialog box. " Tab property page resource, various fields are truncated and drop-down list boxes are all jacked. In fact, under the Flex Build Path tab, it is completely empty. Basically, throughout the Flex Builder IDE, I have various missing fields or bizarre behavior.
  
  Then... at this point, I've pretty much uninstalled, uninstalled the JRE (think this is related to java), cleaned the system registry, uninstalled flash players, edited the flexbuilder.ini with one "-clean", installed updates for Vista (so now this system is on SP1) essentially... I have everything humanly possible short of formatting the system again.
  
  Running Windows Vista x 64; 8 GB of RAM; NVidia 8800 video card.
  
  To make sure that I wasn't completely lose my mind... I installed on a portable system and everything ran like a charm. Thus, after traveling through these forums and Google the issue to death... I can't find the answer.

  You're probably also using the logitech SetPoint on Vista x 64 drivers, who have a known conflict with Eclipse 3.3.

  (The 'solution' is one) to get rid of the drivers (but I love my DiNovo Edge keyboard!) or Eclipse use b) 3.4M4 and the plugin. However, it is not entirely taken in charge, so they sometimes issues, especially with design mode, so generally I use FB3 and switch and then run away when I need to change a setting (not optimal, I know, but not as frequent as that, once a day on average for me). Or just edit the parameters with a text editor.

  Or (c) perform virtualization VMWARE etc. and do it all in x 86.

  Some time ago I had this dialogue and checked the box "remember my decision" like this:

  In the main menu, select

  Window-> Preferences-> run / debug-> Outlook

  In the [Debug] Dropdpwn option, select None. Click OK. Put yourself in your Flex development perspective. You'll get the prompt when you debug.

• Flex Builder 2 - project CF problem

  Hi all
  
  I cannot create a project in Flex using ColdFusion Flash Remoting Service as server technology...
  
  I just installed both ColdFusion and Flex Builder...
  
  I create a new project from scratch and select the ColdFusion Flash Remoting Service as server technology. Then, I get the following error:
  "Invalid server root. The server root must contain a WEB-INF/flex folder.
  and can not continue... I have a wwwroot/WEB-INF structure with no flex record...
  
  any suggestions as to why? or what / where I have gone wrong?

  Looks like you don't have the 7.0.2 update applied to ColdFusion. You can check this in your ColdFusion administrator under the "System information" link at the top. You want a version under "Server Details" that looks like 7,0,2...

• Ghost of entities in Flex Builder 4 - how to get rid of them?

  Flex Builder 4 cannot create a release build, unless I included a "dummy" file, named after the name of the original project.  I created a new project with an application "root" of the same name (project - Projectx and there's a ProjectX.mxml app to go with it), but it will not be built unless I also include a ProjectY.mxml file which was the original name of the project before export and import.  This isn't a serious problem, but I want to get rid of the ProjectY.mxml since there is no function (excetp to make the project to build successfully, which I suppose is a function of all kinds).

  We were using Flex 3.0.1 SDK + Flex Builder 3.0.1 combination and worked very well. Then due to some other business requirements had to upgrade the Flex SDK 3.5.0. Now the problem that we face is that the old Flex Builder 3.0.1 is not compatible with the new SDK (version 3.5.0).

  
  What is the solution? Is there a Flex Builder compatible with Flex 3.5 SDK available... I googled a bit, but failed. Is there any necessary changes in Flex Builder 3.0 files?

  Have you tried to update Flex Builder 3.0.2 and then using Flex SDK 3.5?

  I have Mozilla FireFox and IE installed on my Machine, the problem is that every time I run the icon run the Application, the view gets posted on the IE.

  I don't want to use it is to say that I have problems with regard to the Flex Application profiling.

  Please let me know how is possible to set the Mozilla for are displayed when Flex Builder runs the Application.

  Hi, just like the title of State, I have problem during the web service-> Flex communication. I use class WebService ActionScript, to establish a connection with her, but I had a strange behavior. When I try to access the remote web services (particularly: http://109.74.206.146:8080/jax_ws/quarkservice? wsdl ) of my Flex Builder IDE, all is well.   There is an implicit approval when you run the application in Flex Builder. Outside of Flex Builder, if the call to the Web service is not mandated by LiveCycle Data Services, Flash Player security will not allow the connection the remote service.

  Try to add a crossdomain.xml to the ROOT.war of your respective application server. Something like that...

• Flex Builder 4 and project WST

  The new version of Flex Builder 4 using I would install the draft standards of Web Tools (WST) as well as the tools and editors XML Eclipse for Eclipse. It worked well in the beta, and so I thought that it would be no problem with the final. I use the discovery to draw europa website. The problem is that I get many incompatibilities of dependency:

  I've seen these errors when using webtools update site http://download.eclipse.org/webtools/updates/, but not when using the Galileo Update site http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo/. Try and post if it works or not for you.

• Cannot open '... Flex Builder 3\sdks\3.2.0\frameworks\locale\nl_BE'

  I opened a project (a Zip file import), and when you try to build the project I get the following message:

  "Can't open ' C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Flex Builder 3\sdks\3.2.0\frameworks\locale\nl_BE '.  When we look at the existing folders inside the \locale way, there is en-US and ja - JP, each containing 6 SWC files.

  What are these files and how do I get those lacking?

  Those who are used to the location settings.

  The problem is that you try to compile with a parameter regional nl_BE, when your SDK has only local en_US and ja_JP.

  To get rid of everything that you need to do is the file copylocale.exe to your SDK allows you to copy the settings regional en_US in nl_BE. This will create a folder in your SDK nl_BE, allowing you to compile with this place.

  Run:

  copylocale en_US nl_BE
  

  in the your SDK bin directory.

  Whenever I try to do a simple program, flex builder 3.0 firm and gives the error, as shown in the file attached. Can anyone more closely and suggest me to fix this problem.

  To uninstall everything related to Java on your machine, then uninstall and reinstall Flex Builder.

• Flex Builder detects more errors against the definition of the Array class.

  I don't know if this is the right forum to post this problem, but here goes.

  I've been developing an application using Flex Builder 3. Today, I met a strange problem. When I use a table variable in an Actionscript class, the compiler detects more errors against the class definition. I have only encountur this behavior with the Array class. Other classes of higher level, seem to work. F.i. I can insert the following text in a function:

  var a: Array = [1, 2, 3];

  var i: a.Len;

  After construction, I get no error. When I run the application, the variable I is set to 0.

  I tried to clean up the existing project. I created a new project in flex from scratch. The problem remains.

  I did not have any updates lately, f.i. flash player, java,... the development environment has not changed as far as I know.

  Can someone give some advice about this problem? Thank you.

  The table is a dynamic class, as an object, which means that it is perfeclty happy to return values for properties that have never put. These values will be "undefined", which, when converted to an integer, turn into 0. This is the kind of unfortunate behavior, but there is no way to get around.
