Folio 13-1051nr: Missing ethernet connection (wireless)

Hi, can someone help me with my problem?

I just formatted my computer laptop 13-1051nr of folio to the original factory condition and now I can not find or even connect to the internet via my wireless(wi-fi) but I can connect with LAN (cable). I try to look at my device manager and I discovered that my network controller has a warning sign (exclamation point). So I'm going to the properties and details and I found this.

PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_008B & CC_028000
PCI\VEN_8086 & DEV_008B & CC_0280

Unknown device:

* INT33A0

In the Bluetooth section:

Generic Bluetooth adapter:

USB\VID_8086 & PID_0189 & REV_6919

Can someone help me?

Thank you

  • Missing ethernet connection presario sr2125 uk.

Hello, I've read through many posts here and elsewhere but can't seem to find an answer to my problem so my apologies in advance if this is seeming repetitive

First of all, my PC is a Compaq Presario SR2125 UK.

I recently added memory to substitute the original 2 x 512 with cards memory 4 x 1 GB. It is the only "tinkering" I did it to make it a non tech type person. Other than that, it is like it is out of the box and several years of general household use.

My problem is that last night during a storm, we had a power failure of nature that lasts several hours and when we arrived finally be able to come back, I couldn't connect to the internet.

The PC is on a wired connection directly from the rear via an ethernet cable in the BT Home Hub. Other devices can connect wireless to the hub, and once I had found an old Belkin Wireless adapter can this pc.  Having finally got online I spent hours reading without result.

My pc is clean as a whistle according to Norton full scan and MBAM. It seems fair that my adapter has completely disappeared from the Device Manager, I checked in all the devices section hidden... everything. If my thought is that this little piece of kit got fried in the storm.  How it happened is beyond me given the "charge" should have go through the (?) surely first router, seemingly unharmed. My questions are...

    How to run again? or

How can I replace it, if indeed it isreplaceable? That is, where should I look for a code of possible room or something to allow me to buy a new one, if I can

The only other thing I can think to tell you is that I tried another ethernet cable, another Jack on the back of the hub and to tell you there is always a light at the back of pc Tower, place where the ethernet cable is plugged in.

Really not sure what is relevant information that could shed light. Any help much appreciated even if it's just to tell me he didn't that can do anything!

I would like to start by erasing the BIOS settings. Don't forget to unplug the machine off before doing so. The instructions are at the bottom of page HERE

If it does not detect your ethernet, it may well have been zapped by the incident. It's a chip on the motherboard so no way to replace directly. You can add a real PCI network easily, it simply plugs into a slot in a similar way the memory. Most stores that sell computers and accessories include network cards. Just be sure to specify that you need a PCI_not the last type of PCI - E.

  • Windows 7: no internet via an Ethernet connection, wireless is fine

Look for help here because I'm stuck.

PC laptop Toshiba 3 year. Ethernet and wireless have both worked fine with XP. Since the upgrade to Windows 7, my without wire is fine, but I can't connect to internet via Ethernet. Other computers in the House are connected to my router and work very well. I have configured an IP address manually (as I have on other computers) with no luck. Auto setting it will not longer work. I use just TCP/IPv4 (v6 is not checked, the old router doesn't support). I've played with just about everything I can think of and still no luck.

The strange thing is that when I try to load a Web site, the data seem to flow in a second. For example, go to google.com, it will look like its loading but nothing will come. Then comes the text will come after 20 seconds maybe, but not the logo (ie the graphics). It will just hang there and expire. A normal webpage I visit will simply sit on a white screen then Firefox will report it is "done" at the bottom, but nothing appears.

I also can not log - on to my router, same problem, it won't load the web interface page and any waiting period.

Under the "Network and sharing" Center, everything seems to be fine. It will say I am connected to my network, and diagnostics will not find something wrong. Yet, no internet.

    Any ideas?

I would reinstall the driver again, so uninstall in device and then Manager re - download the driver from the website of the manufacturer of your computer, and then install restart your computer, restart your router, and then try again

    Hope I helped...

I have a big problem with the internet wireless connection or the ethernet connection. In both cases it seems to be good connection (100%) for the network but the computor is unable to connect to the internet.

Go to your computer manufacturer's support web site
and search for the Windows XP drivers for your specific computer or motherboard model number.

If there are Windows XP drivers, then download to a folder on your hard drive and burn it to a CD/DVD.
Then, after installing XP install all device drivers, start by installing the card mother/chipset driver first,

  • LAN/Ethernet and wireless: can connect to networks, but shows "no Internet access.

My workplace has cable/Ethernet and Wi - Fi.  I'm working on a laptop, plug it into a dock where my ethernet cable is connected.  Lately, I've been the startup object and the network will connect automatically (by default to connect to the local network, not for the wireless) but I get the point of the triangle/yellow exclamation on my network icon and displays "no Internet access.  Even if I get this warning message /, in fact, I can access the internet, but I can't access resources online through a program installed (such as, to access to the / insertion of a photo online by word or update a SharePoint Outlook calendar).

In the past, I could connect wirelessly and work around this problem.  However, now my wireless connection does the same thing: it will connect, it displays the warning "no access Internet, I can access the internet, but not another program."

I ran the resolution of problems and it does not identify the problem.  I've updated drivers, disconnected and reconnected networks - nothing seems to work.  Any ideas?

Given that you encounter this work to your work network you really need to get your business COMPUTER Department to come and watch. As far as we know, there may be certain restrictions checked in your network permissions that must not checked. There is so much that can happen it is impossible to diagnose on an online forum.

  • Ethernet or wireless is connected but no Internet access

My laptop OS is Win 7 64 bit. My laptop able to connect to the internet, but it suddenly can't connect to the internet via the Ethernet or wireless. I tried to system restore and it worked fine, but after I stopped, the problem was took place again. I don't know if because of the McAfee antivirus or window updates because it has some errors (to McAfee) and Skype has been updated before I had this problem (no internet access).

McAfee has been updated at the same time as the last batch of updates from Windows 7 and this is the cause of problems of internet connection for most, if not all, users of McAfee.

See the communication from this "criticism" - McAfee

Some customers may experience a loss of network connectivity and/or errors in McAfee Security Center after a recent update

You should make the fix McAfee, if necessary. There are corresponding communications for their enterprise products.

  • I lost my connection Wireless at home.

I have a time capsule/router.  I lost my connection Wireless at home.  Cannot get internet connection to one of my computers/devices in the home.  Help!

    Need to load more information.

Feeding cycle you the entire network... Start up in the correct sequence?

    Modem... Wait 2 min

    TC... Wait 2 min

    Client devices.

    If this does not work...

Tell us everything... what model is the modem? Is this also a router?

What model is the TC... The base A1xxx please?

The fact the main TC on... amber green or flashing led?

Taken in a computer by ethernet that get you internet with wired connection, just all the wireless clients are turned off?

Tell us about such things and we can work from there.

But I suggest you a factory reset as well... Here are the basics.

Start from a factory reset. No files are lost on the drive hard in doing so.

    Universal factory reset

Turning off the TC... That is, remove the power supply cord or the power at the wall outlet, wait 10 seconds... Hold the reset button... be nice... Turn on always even now in reset... and keep holding in for another 10 seconds. You may need assistance because it is difficult to hold in reset and power on. It will show the success quickly flashing led front. Release reset... and wait a few minutes for the TC to reset and return with the factory settings. If the front LED flashes quickly you missed and simply try again. The reset is quite fragile in these... Press the key while it is just click away and not more... I've seen people bend lever or even break. I use a toothpick as a tool.

NB. None of your files on the hard drive of the TC are removed... This simply clears the settings of the router of the TC.

    The installer the TC.

And then redo the configuration of the computer with the Mavericks - Yosemite - ElCapo. (MYELCAP)

    1. the use of very short names... NO APPLE RECOMMENDED names. Without the space and pure alphanumeric characters.

for example TCgen5 for the base station and the name of the TCwifi wireless.

If the problem is using wireless TC24ghz and TC5ghz with fixed channels as it also seems to help stop the nonsense. But it can be tried in the second round. IE, plan on a first and second series of changes to fix this... If all goes well... I note other steps can you tour2.

    2. use all passwords also consistent with 1. but maybe a little longer. IE 8 and 20 characters of mixed cases and numbers... no alphanumeric non-caracteres.

    3. If the TC is router, you can ignore this point. It is only a problem when the TC is bridged.

If ensure that the TC is always the same IP address... you will need to do this on the main router using a dhcp reservation... or a bit more complex setup by using the static IP address in the TC. But it's important for deriving from intellectual property in all directions when MYELCAP do not remember his name for 5 min after a reboot done for poor network management.

    4. check that your share on the computer name does not change... Make sure that it is also in line with the above... short without space and pure alphanumeric... but this change will mess up your TM backup... so be prepared to make a new, full backup. Sorry... keep this one for the second round, if you want to avoid a new backup.

5 attach the TC disc into the computer manually.

In Finder, go, connect to the server in the main menu,

Type in SMB://192.168.0.254 (or whatever ip of TC is that you made static. It's a default router 10.0.1.1 and I encourage people to stick with it unless you know what you're doing).

You can use the name... SMB://TCgen5.local where you replace TCgen5 with your name of TC... local is the default domain of the TC and does not change.

However the names are not so easy as... the IP address nor reliable. They are not at least not in Yosemite. The field can also be a problem if you are not clogged or wireless directly to the Treasury Board.

    6. ensure that IPv6 is set to link-local only in the computer. For example wireless open network, wireless and Advanced preferences / TCP/IP... and the difficulty of IPv6. link-local only. Do the same for the ethernet if you use it.

It is a lot more jiggery pokery, you can try, but the above is a good start... If you still find not reliable... don't be surprised.

You may need to do more work on the computer itself. for example, to reset the NVRAM/PRAM/SMC... helped some people. A clean installation of the operating system is also useful if you update installed.

  • VM XP not connect wirelessly with the home network or wireless printers

I'll start with the problem and ask anyone and I'll fill in what information (drivers, programs, etc.) are required to complete the problem and I hope that we will find a solution together!

I have Windows 7 64-bit (professional course) and it was installed with the Office of the virtual XP computer 2 years ago. It runs in a SONY laptop VAIO VPCS111FM, with core i5 model. Seagate 500 GB HARD drive. 2.5 GHz, 4.0 GB of RAM.

The problem is that all the other computers I have (running XP, Mac, iPad, etc.) are all able to connect wireless internet and printing using the home router (Mac Airport Express) (yes I know right way was the other way around, but too late, too much money and time spent in the wrong direction). Windows 7 of course works in the laptop for two HP printers wireless, but not the XP Virtual Machine. Nothing can be printed off the coast of the XP to every CV (6500 has more (too advanced in any case) or the printer HP Officejet 8500 wireless.

Of course, you know why I'm here. Help SONY expired, Best Buy, which has installed the purchase and we admit, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and also installed the Office XP (it's their very very first download this system, because I know they spent over an hour on the phone with Microsoft (I had to prove that I was, the owner, before they would talk to Best Buy)) , installation and there is 2 years back and they always say nothing is wrong and we will charge for the search under the name of all the guarantees and free assistance have expired. Of course the last wrinkle is that Microsoft is now in charge me $100 just to answer the question of why his doesn't like his "XP" and even if its share of Windows 7! its still "XP" and gets load!

HP was great and discovered that the IP Code starts by (if all goes well to say don't compromise the first three digits protection WEP ISP we have 192 for the XP VM, while everything (including MAC and iPad) everything starts with...) 10.! and have done all these years, we have had the system wireless installed (since 2004).

Can someone help me get my XP connected wireless? What's wrong? What is missing?

Furthermore, the Ethernet card is this green icon and no question mark or anything in the XP VM except 5 weird listed as "other devices." In Device Manager is NICs: Intel 21140 - based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (generic). In the section "Other devices" are: 5 copies of 'Virtual PC intégration Device' air conditioned and have question marks still under "Properies" and "Device status" all say "this device is working properly" no clue as to why mark her quesiton showing! Sequel to "Troubleshooting" only me ends with "contact the manufacturer or installer etc., which means significant costs because there is no more free ride or ensure the installation after 2 years!

    I hope this helps everyone!

If I install a program that requires the Internet it can NOT find the internet on its own! (i.e. put HP program or other small program that I tried to install my XP needs the 'internet' else to register before using it!).

BUT THANKS to YOU all! While searching for information complete this application I hit the tab of "USB" top XP VM and unknown device (my DVD?) and HP 8500 printer could be installed via "USB" so at least for the FIRST TIME in 2 years they are printing and working on the USB cable! This isn't a separate DVD, but the one inside the laptop. Sometimes, it works on the XP desktop, most of the time I navigate the DVD disk and force the autorun from running by using "RUN" in the start menu. I still don't know what happens if I spell (or close safely) the peripheral attached USB (printer) or if it will tie next time without putting in place (he has created four more settings of printer/fax machine (series 2!) on my list of printers.) I don't know what is happening, but its nice to see a page out of the "Notepad"or "wordpad" for the first time in two years! ".

Now, all I need is to happen wireless!

Thanks to all who read this far! Great thanks to all those who wish to help!

  • With an Ethernet connection, should I also turn on WiFi?

Is there any point of activation of my WiFi connection with an ethernet cable plugged into my iMac?  My printer can easily be connected via the USB port, and if I understand correctly, iCloud shares with my other devices can take place via ethernet or WiFi connection.

My new iMac will be here next week and it's the only unresolved issue, I still have.

Thanks for all the information provided here.  I rarely post, but read the comments here regularly and am amazed at the help and support provided.

If that's what you're referring to:

iCloud Photo Sharing FAQ - Apple Support

You will need a cellular connection or WiFi for your iDevices; However, most of the time, this is accomplished by using a router that sends your (internet) signal throughout your home, your other devices to connect wirelessly. Thus, your Mac and your printer are good with Ethernet and, if you have a router (provided by your service provider internet or if you bought your own), you don't need WiFi enabled on your Mac. That's how I set it up at home.

  • WiFi for computer laptop HP ENVY 15 and Ethernet connection problem

Hi, a few months ago, I brought a HP ENVY 15 Notebook PC running windows 8.1. It is connected to my wifi with Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter. My modem is a Technicolour TG582n 2 Wireless ADSL + with wireless 802.11 b/g/n compatible.

As soon as I got there I noticed a problem of internet where I would be able to connect to my home WiFi network and get full reception bars but would have a hard time to access Web sites on web browsers such as chrome, mozilla and internet explore pages takes some time to load and eventually reached a page "this webpage is not available" (for chrome). This problem seems to occur only with my home network as it can connect to public wifi and my wifi friends and yet I have many other devices such as laptops and other smartphones connected to my wifi that did not at all have poblems with internet and it just seems to be mine. When I connect via ethernet I get good connection for about 10 minutes and then I was completely cut off. However, I can upload a file via the wifi ok if I can get it to start and I can play a game online well enough but often disconnected after an hour or two.

I checked for new updates of pilot, but they seem to be up to date and im do not manually downloading and installing one on the hp site but I tried (I did probably wrong). I ran the diagnostic function, but it cannot detect all problems. I looked around the internet as well, but still havn't found a solution.

Also I got the laptop sent back and received a new but the same problem persisted and as I walked through the process of the person I was talking to a admitted that I had a problem like they remote limited from my laptop for a little for the access problem.

Please help, I've had this problem for a month or two now and is really becoming a problem since I use my laptop computer for purposes of requiring home internet work.

Thanks in advance and I hope you guys can help!
