Could you please tell us what exactly happened made you reinstall the drive? We would give an idea of what went wrong which caused this problem.

So if you are on windows, you can download the cleanup tool to uninstall the reader completely. Sometimes some traces remain, and this is perhaps the reason why you are facing this problem.

Hey texasbaboo,

What software are you trying to install?

Navigate to the C:\programfiles\corel\coreldrawessentials4\setup\ica.msi location on the computer and see if the file exists. The file is required during installation. If it does not exist, then you must download again the same. The best bet here would be to reinstall Corel Draw essentials. This should solve the problem.

Is that error on this post code, IE something deleted, probably your antivirus or you.

For problems to explore, which has nothing to do with this post, try this (which covers almost any problem).

Explorer

Explorer (explorer.exe) is the program that is the start menu and taskbar, windows folder and the office (which is a folder window).

To see if a fix is available

In Control Panel (and select Classic discovered in the left pane) select reports on the problems and Solutions (problem of type in the START search box), go to historical problem, right-click of your error and choose check for the Solution.

You can also right-click and choose Details for more information. Post these details here. The name of the Module fault is important information.

If the problem affects Panel press the Windows key + R and type wercon (or type it at a command prompt).

Close the browser and start a command prompt

• Close Windows Explorer
• Start - All Programs - Accessories - right on command prompt and choose run as administrator.
• Click Start. Ctrl + Shift + Right-click on an empty spot (just above the power of buttons is one place) then Exit Explorer.
• Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete then Task Manager.
• Control all processes to explore are closed. On the process tab select explore and right-click and choose end process, repeat if more of an Explorer in the list.

Then to restart the Explorer after trying all of the following

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
• In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and enter explorer

If you cannot start the Explorer at all

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and choose Task Manager
• Under the processes tab, click Show processes from all users to elevate to administrator
• In the Task Manager, click the file menu and then click new task (run) and type cmd
• Other things you can try typing

Explorer
Explorer c:\
Explorer/e, c:\
wercon
control
Iexplore
Rstrui

If you cannot start a folder window you can use the Browse button in the new task dialog. Don't forget that you must right click and choose Open rather than double-clicking.

Reregister the shell registry entries

It is important that each order is accepted. If the command fails it means the file is damaged and must be repaired.

• Audio service does not not after download of Creative, restarts, error 0 x 80070002, the system cannot find the file specified

Yesterday, I downloaded and installed updated Creative to my its Soundblaster card from Windows Update. It lead me to a large download of Creative for its console related sound and SW, and things worked fine. When I restarted this morning, there was a horrible loud hum while Windows was loading, and I made a hard stop. When I rebooted, the buzz was gone, but the icon in the status bar indicates that the sound was off. The sound message indicates that the audio service is not running. I tried to restart the computer several times, but the results were the same. I tried to restart the audio service of the Task Manager, but got an error message 0 x 80070002, the system cannot find the file specified. Where should I go from here?

Hi Jfklinger,

This problem occurs because some legacy applications use files or components that were developed prior to Windows Vista. The names of these audio components may be different in Windows Vista. If the calling application uses the hard-coded file names, the new files and components could not be found.

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods to change the audio settings for a device.

Method 1: use the order Volume of Windows

To use the Volume of Windows command to change the audio settings for a device, follow these steps:

1.right - click on the speaker icon in the notification area, and then click devices recording or reading.
2. double-click - click the device for which you want to set the parameters. For example, double-click on Microphone.
3. click on the levels tab.
4. move the cursor upwards or downwards to set the desired volume level, and then click OK.

Method 2: use Control Panel

For control panel allows you to change the audio settings for a device, follow these steps:

1. click on Start, click Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click sound.
2. click on the tab playback or recording .
3. double click the device for which you want to set the parameters. For example, double-click on Microphone.
4. click on the levels tab.
5. move the cursor upwards or downwards to set the desired volume level, and then click OK.

You may receive an error message when you run an application that uses the recording feature or audio playback in Windows Vista

• LaserJet MFP M125nw Pro: #2 cannot install LaserJet MFP M125nw Pro because of the error "the system cannot find the file specified."

Hello

I struggled in the last 2 days to install my new all in one Pro LaserJet MFP M125nw. I tried almost all the stuff Google and this community offered under the heading "the system cannot find specified file", without success. My frustration is huge because I'm not really a novice when it comes to solve similar problems.

Here is what I do and what is happening:

I downloaded the latest version of the complete software for XP HP offers through their Web site. I tried to install the drivers through the install wizzard, then manually (used for the files in the folder 7ZXXX in the directrory temp) but no matter what I do, I get the same error again and again. In fact XP recognizes the printer and the scanner, it installs even drivers for the scanner and it works but after maybe 50 attempts in different ways, XP couldn't install the printer driver.

Found the solution. The problem was that I had Microsoft .net Framework 4. After that I went back to 3.5, the driver through the installation went perfectly. Thank you guys for the effort.

• Remote Desktop error: the system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\ < LANG_NAME > \mstsc.exe.MUI

Came across an interesting problem this morning. After starting my PC from various applications (OutLook 2002, Management Studio of SQL Server 2008, etc.). I was able to connect to a server by using Remote Desktop (RDP, alias). On trying to connect to a second system, I started getting the following error message:

The system cannot find the specified file. C:\WINDOWS\system32\\mstsc.exe.MUI

Will always be connected to the server, I tried to launch a second instance using RDP, but received the same error message.

I googled the error and found different solutions (the best solution to examine ishttp://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/164d1e0b-51e6-4201-9dc2-3f4a0ccb14e5), however, none of the solutions seemed to work.

I tried checking the virus/malware, etc, but nothing was found. I tried to re - load the dll and the exe (s), but still not received the error message.

The next solution was to try to see what can be changed on my system (new programs, etc.). I noticed there is an update downloaded to my system (C:\Windows\WindowsUpdate.log): AutomaticUpdates content success install successful and Restart required for the following update: update for Windows XP (KB969084)... the update is related to remote desktop.

I rebooted the system, still not received the RDP error messages. Is I did a complete "install updates and shut down ', and then restarted my system that started working again.

For the record, here is some information on my system:

XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.091208 - 2036: Service Pack 3)

c:\windows\system32\mstsc.exe: 6.1.7600.16385

I wanted to just post this in case someone else runs into a similar problem...

Thank you!

Argue for your limitations and of course they will belong. -Richard Bach, Illusions

I have a machine with the same problem

XP Professional: Version 5.1 (Build 2600

I installed the update for Windows XP (KB969084).

It does not, but a reboot is required because the system is running on the old dll

MSTSC.exe works now

Thanks for the info!

• Update Windows XP SP3 is abandoned during the installation of UNIDRV. DLL and displays the message "the system cannot find the file specified."

When the update of Windows XP is install SP3, the sequence is abandoned at the location of the process. After you download the SP3, the progresses set install through the normal initialization sequence, inspection, creating list of 3rd drive part, backup files, etc., begins to install the files but when to reach the "UNIDRV. DLL file and copy it to my C:\ root directory but have tried almost everything in the 22/01/12 'terribrownQF' and the response "Tommy Stanley" 22/01/12 no change where the installation of SP3 crashes. Should I try to put the UNIDRV. • Error 2: The system cannot find the specified file. Even after restarting the Printer Spooler service

I tried all of the suggestions posted and have had no success in restarting my print spooler. Help, please.

Original title: I tried to restart the print spooler as directed, and he returned the error 2: the system cannot find the specified file. He does that and is it fixable?

@Winston Microsoft M committed Support Engineer 'expert '.

I can see your response that you did take the time to reproduce the problem and then try your own ideas to check if the problem persists.

Here is what I suggest to you, so you can learn how XP actually works:

Start in the XP Recovery Console or Safe Mode, so Windows File Protection does not run.

Rename your file c:\windows\system32\spoolsv.exe you can remember (such as spoolsv.bak). Now, the file is "absent".

Restart normally.

Then try to start the Print Spooler Service and you will see the error.

So why don't you follow your own advice and run SFC and troubleshooting automated (as you suggested) and check if the problem persists.

Please report your results.

When you see that it does help and that SFC does not replace the missing or damaged file (in the system32 folder) and that the automated troubleshooter does not help, will sing it a different song (we hope).

Don't forget to rename your spoolsv.bak to spoolsv.exe when you're done messing around autour.

• Spooler problem printing with Windows XP error: "error 2: the system cannot find the file specified."

Original title: problem with Windows XP error print spooler

My printer stopped working (after several years of use); the computer is not even grateful as being installed. Cannot reload the printing software. Tried to download the software of HP, but all that says there is a problem with the print spooler file: error 2: the system cannot find the specified file... (when I try to start it directly)

Hello

1. What is the brand and the model number of this computer?

This problem may occur if a third-party printer driver or an installed third-party service prevents you from adding printers, or if the third-party printer driver or the third party service affects the functionality of a newly installed printer.

To resolve this issue automatically, click the fix for this issue link in the article below. Then click Run now on printing problems and printing errors troubleshooting, then follow the steps in this wizard. If the problem persists, perform the rest of the procedure described in the article.
