For recovery media, which is 'start support' and 'media '.

What is "Bootable media" and "Media" and what is the difference between the two?

I ask because my ThinkVantage Toolbox is prompting me to "Create recovery media", and when I try to do, it offers me the choice to create the recovery 'Boot' or «Media» media  I would like to know what each one is.  I searched at length but can't find description of what they are and the difference between them.  Please advise: what is it?

jfatlenovo, welcome to the forum,

the difference is the following; If you want to create your backups using R & R to the external network or drives the 'start-up support' will allow you to access these backups after the start of it.  * Very important; If you choose to do a disk external drive bootable, this procedure will delete the files you have already stored on it - save it first.

Creation of bootable media and "data media", which as far as I know cannot be done on a cd/dvd will create a set of so-called "recovery disc" which will allow you to install a system to its factory condition. useful if your drive hard drive dies, want to swap it to a new drive before giving / the system of sale on or have preview around trying to create a system to multiple boot and nuked your master boot record, (read some of the posts in these cards ). Best practice is to use 1 cd, to the 'start-up support', and then on DVD for the rest, probably 2.  This is something that you should do the same if you can not think, for the moment, a reason to explain why you should do it. Better to make now that regret to not do it later.

Hope this helps

  • How to correct for IQ rates which are not supported by the NOR-2920?

    Hi all;

I use Labview 11 and the NOR-2920 (Ettus Radio) to build a FSK receiver, I the Modulation toolkit.

My carrier is 169 MHz, my flow is 256Kbits/sec, my tour of frequency is around 89. 5 kHz, I choose a 16, my symbols FSK samples/symbol is 2 (0-1).

My receiver is close to work, however, I am getting an extra of 5 bits in my 408 bits frame data.

My sync bits are all the tail and the front end of my frame data which has also a meter 16-bit images on the front of the frame, which runs from 0 to 65535 without losing data.

I think that the extra bits are the result of rate IQ I try to set to 4096K based on 256 K * 16 = 4096 K

The radio seems to default to 4,166667 M for the rate of IQ.

The ratio of 408bits /415bits = 4096/4166 coincidence or not?

Is there a way around this problem in the configuration of the NOR-2920 or how I manage the sampling and recovery of data.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    All interested for:

The answer is Labview a an I / Q resample module.

Connection between the extraction of radio and the demodulation modules, set the sampling frequency entry real want = rate * of the data samples / symbol.

Work so far, don't know what is happening when other tolerances overclocking begin to influence the data, but for now his work.  Also don't know why this is not incorporated into the receiver or the fetch modules for sampling rate that you actually need from the beginning but I'm still learning.

This message appears on the desktop after windows starts upward

If you have correctly typed the name of this file, your computer has been infected. Either you have uninstalled the malware program or your antivirus/antispyware program did. In all cases, a reference has been left in the boot file. You can remove the reference by managing your startup.

Because you had a piece of malware, the chances are too high you had others. It would be a good idea to scan.

    Manage startup:

(for XP) Start > run > msconfig [Enter]

This will open the System Configuration utility. Look under the Startup tab and find the likely culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but next time you do, you will get a dialog box saying that you have used the utility. • Old recovery media

Hello my fellow forum members! : as stated previously, I have a Pavilion 7965 2001 model

There are a few months that the PC has been upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate edition, a new CPU & Firewire ports

Since the upgrade, I still have the support of Windows XP Recovery with the extra added value edition which included the backup application that was not part of XP Home Edition, in addition, I have all the modules necessary service (XP SP 3) as well.

I would like to know the addresses of HP that I can send it to because I do what I do at my public library

because I'm too financially challenged to be here through my home

during the 8 years that I've been here, I've noticed that people periodically ask for recovery media to bring their machines patients back to normal I think would not deprive chipheads colleagues to have their computers to bring a few years of useful life.

I don't know that anyone would appreciate that at the highest level once I have remove this.

Thanks for having me be part of this

HP does not maintain these items beyond their useful potential. Support for WIN XP and MS Office 2003 ends on 04/08/2014.

In XP, you can cleanup and optimize it in some way, by using the following tips:

    Search for malware:

Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

  • M1V66UA: problem with recovery media disk drive

my laptop is HP envy x 360 bought around December 2015(it is still guaranteed).

Today, I had a problem with my laptop (inaccessible boot device error) and a HPteam even could not able to solve it and told me that the recovery order media disk.

    the problem is:

I bought the laptop in the United States when I was a customer place and now I am in India .

HP India has informed me that they will not consider my request for recovery media order disk since I bought the laptop outside the India and told me to contact them.

    My question is

How can I order the disc of recovery in India?

    Hello

First of all, you can download microsoft iso and burn it to DVD or USB without needing a key, so do a good job of it for future use.

If you have a real Windows 10 installation the system map is saved as your key with microsoft, so you do not need a new.

Once you have fixed starting problems, MAKE YOUR OWN RECOVERY MEDIA IMMEDIATELY.

Jelly Beanstalk will find your product key for future use, but it is locked to the system board.

Piriform Speccy and Belarc Advisor will also add your serial number for a knowledge need.

    If in doubt please ask.
