Force installation of JRE in JNLP

Hello. I would like to ask you guys it is possible to force the installation of JRE by trying to open the JNLP file. This is the case quite often when users try to run demand TJS without installed JRE. The best option would be to force the installation or at least display a message with instructions. Maybe there are different ways to deal with this problem.

you will need to handle this at the level of the operating system. Without TJS installed AND running on the computer, it's just another file, with what the operating system does not know what to do.

So no, nothing, Oracle can do about it.

  • "ERROR: no magic number" what auto download and installation of jre

    Hi all:

I used install4j to create the installer of my stand of java along the app. In order to accommodate those who do not have jre installed on their machine, I chose to include a jre boudled in my Installer, which is supposed to download the jre to a specific url when no local run is detected.

Install4j allows me to specify a download url, in fact, I tried two ways: 1. I downloaded the jre, jdk-6u24-windows - i586.exe and put it on my own server, and the url is from my server; 2. I used the official "http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=33787". In both cases the jre has been correctly downloaded but cannot install, shows the error in the log:

Is it not obvious? The Setup program tries to decompress a file which is not tarred in the first place. Of course, which will fail. I'm guessing that the installer wants the JRE to be paved and probably also gzipped (so it gets a. tar.gz extension).

  • Cant Open Oracle Applications 11i forms after the last installation of JRE

We're currently on Oracle Apps 11.5.10.2. I had to install the latest JRE 1.6 Update23 to work on BI Publisher templates and now I can't open all the Oracle e-Business Suite under Forms. It just breaks down-IE, has no message on JInitiator Console either. Same problem with the Mozilla Firefox browser.

FYI... I have a colleague who is able to work on both... BI Publisher model Mgr and Oracle Forms end last installed JRE... So don't think it's a server problem, it's just my client configuration. Any help is appreciated.

What is the difference between your customers and your colleague (in terms of client OS, browser, applications installed,... etc)?

Do you meet the requirements (recommended browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite 11i [285218.1 ID])?

Can you reproduce the problem with Firefox?

  • Installation failed with error C1900107

I've seen many suggestions online about how to fix this error, however, the proposals are on my head and scary at best to try. I placed a call to MS in India or the Philippines and as a joke, they basically told me my system was inconsistent due to age. (bought in 2010). My sister has the same computer, and she installed W10.

There was no mention of the age when the upgrade offer was extended to the public.

I was also told that MS would do a "push install" but my system does not work properly? !!! Seriously, then why would I want that and they also said that I have to pay a fee.

They also suggested I have contact the manufacture and see if they had a solution or suggestion, HP website said they had not checked my computer for compatibility of the Win10. Their customer support said that the PC is out of warranty and I have to pay a tax and they would do a "push install" "nobody has explained ' forced installation ' meant."

Suffice it to say, I'm at my wits end because the error message is so vague that I have searched and searched without success.

Where a person not techno can get help without letting a total stranger charge you a fee to dial in your computer?

I would like to upgrade, but it's like pulling hen's teeth.

Well, we cannot do much for you here either. You the best option is to take your computer to a reputable computer repair merchant and allow them to perform the upgrade for you.

  • How to create a shortcut for all users during installation

    Hi people,

We have a desktop application that is distributed with Java Webstart and works on Win7 machines. Initially, users all connected using a connection by default, so creating shortcuts was not a problem. Now, because of new networking strategies, each user has his own connection.

The problem is that the shortcut to the application is created in the user profile (for example "C:\Users\JohnDoe\", so that other users in the same machine can not run the application unless he or she installs the application again.)

Is there a way to create this shortcut for all users using JNLP API or configuration in the xml file?

If anyone has need of the solution: during installation I save the jnlp file in a directory accessible to all the world and then start the application using "javaws path\to\file.jnlp". • Firefox crashes immediately on startup. Won't start in safe mode.

If this is not for my personal system, but a colleague. Our company force installation of some software updates, and he had a forced installation arrives for a Firefox version 38 ESR. The installation completes successfully, and he was not able to run Firefox since then. We have tried to uninstall/reinstall to level 39 (including by deleting the directory under Program Files (x 86). We also tried to restart after each step, do not restart after each step, update of Firefox did not help either, and "Reset" is not available. We can open in safe mode and disable the Add-ons, but then it crashes again once we restarted in normal mode. This morning we tried to install level 38 instead of 39, but get the same results. Help?

You can check if Firefox can be started in Safe Mode by holding down the shift/Options button.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

You will need to close and restart Firefox after enabling/disabling this setting.

You can check if there is an update for your display driver graphic card and search for hardware acceleration of related issues.

  • Cannot restore the portable computer Satellite Windows 8.1

I have recently acquired some malware on my laptop, and after several failed attempts to remove it have decided to try to restore the device to factory settings.

Unfortunately, I don't create backup media when the laptop was new and the recovery media creator appears only to create a cover for the system as it is.

I tried to update the laptop using recovery tools built-in, but got an error "the drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again."

Then I tried a reset and got "failed to reset your PC. A required partition is missing. »

I have created no recovery media when the laptop was purchased, do not not this.

I don't have a system image 'clean' for a system image recovery.

I do not have a restore point created earlier for a restoration of the system.

Auto repair seems to only deal with problems of boot of the system, but still had an error "auto repair could not fix your computer" as I was trying anything at this point.

Please can anyone offer any advise of any other route that I could take to restore factory settings.

    Thank you

EH... it is a quite complicated situation now. Problem is that there is not a special workaround solution and you can not force installation of recovery image. Either it works or not.
It is a pity that you don't l l create recovery media. It is the first step that everyone should do after the purchase of the laptop. This recovery media can be used in complicated situations.
    > Unable to reset your PC. A required partition is missing
For some reason tool recovery doesn't have access to the recovery or recorded data recovery partition.

What can you do now? To be honest, I see only one solution: order the new original recovery media for your laptop model. It can be done on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

  • How to install the VISA 64-bit runtime library?

Hello! I try to install NI VISA 5.2 (of visa52full.exe) on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and I would like to use 64-bit libraries to control my instruments (I use Java/JNA and can interface only a 64-bit Java with java only 32 bit libs with java 32 bit and 64 bit). However, after installation I can't find visa64.dll, and in the Setup, I can't find an option to force installation of the 64-bit libraries. Can someone point me in the right direction here? Thanks in advance.

In fact, consider answering my question. I realize that Dell sold us a computer with pre-installed 32-bit instead of 64-bit Win7, we ordered.

    Hello Jack,.

Read your newspaper: this error was found in the second line of date:

Here is a link with several options for you to try. I hope that one of them will help you. Make it a great day.

  • KB2183461 install not on Windows XP

Update KB2183461 titled 'Cumulative Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP security systems' will not install on Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3.

Strange, when I try to install it using Windows Update, it says, the installation was successful. Yet it comes again at the next session of the update as an update critical uninstalled.

Then I downloaded KB2183461 from Microsoft Download Center:

    IE8-WindowsXP-KB2183461 - x 86

When I try to install it, it also indicates that it has installed successfully - even if the 'installation' strangely takes little time - but Windows Update claims that it is an uninstalled update.

Of course, I could just hide this update on the Microsoft Update site, but it seems to be a significant update, so I would like to install it, even if I use IE8 quite rarely.

Could you help me to install KB2183461?

    Thank you
    MegaBrutal

[1] then there should be a solution to reset Internet Explorer and Windows, for example a forced installation/uninstallation of IE7/8 or whatever it is accept that would settle it.

[2] I was hiding rather this update, then, I don't even use IE8 on a regular basis. Some sites only require me to use.

[3] Although Windows Update can hide certain critical updates from me, it is a more serious problem.

A1. Unfortunately, WYSIWYG, at least in Windows XP and earlier versions (e.g., Win2K;) WinME; Win98). There is no other resolution other than a clean install.

A2. While you can't depend on IE, your operating system only. If IE is not working properly, Windows is not no more.

A3. Do not install a critical security update is a VERY serious problem. You will not even be able to install the missing updates manually until you've done a clean install.

NB: In its current state, the computer must NOT be connected to the internet or local area network (i.e. other computers).

    Once again, good luck.

  • Cannot install the update of security KB979402 for win2k ("Access denied" error)... help?

for awhile now, I have not been able to install "Security Update for Windows Media Player 9 for Windows 2000 (KB979402)", through windows update. I always failed, and here are the steps I took:

    (1) tried to use windows update. the program launches, recognizes a necessary update, downloads the file and fails to install, leaving this error message:

"the following updates were not installed:

"Security Update for Windows Media Player 9 for Windows 2000 (KB979402).

    (2) reinstalled windows update agent according to the instructions here:

    http://social.msdn.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/windowsdesktopsearchhelp/thread/c1d64ba5-AAA1-4EAE-AD04-d7e85418199e/

I can't tell if windows update agent has been reinstalled successfully, but the problem persists.

    (3) tried to use http://www.update.microsoft.com/ where the file downloads but won't install.

    (4) manually downloaded "Security Update for Windows Media Player 9 for Windows 2000 (KB979402).

tried to install, a message "error installation KB979402, Access is denied."

    5) tried to "force installation" by entering this in run:
    C:\WUAGENT\Windows2000-windowsmedia-KB979402-x86-enu.exe /wuforce

who did get a weird window listed some "availible orders"... end, passing through update.microsoft.com again proves the update has not yet been installed. I'm now ideas. Help?

    Are you running Win2K SP4?

What application or antivirus security suite is installed and your current subscription?  What anti-spyware (other than Defender) applications?  What third-party firewall (if applicable)?

A (another) Norton or McAfee application has already been installed on the computer (for example, a free trial version which is preinstalled when you bought it)?

    Hello

Disable the Antivirus software, and then follow the link below to reset windows update components:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/971058

    All the best!

  • DeskJet 1512: Deskjet 1512 printer does not install...

    Hello

    I have a Deskjet 1512 printer ' All in one '.

I followed the instructions of installation and configuration up to the last comma - and still some 6.5 hours later - I still have a new printer that doesn't work.

    I am running Windows XP / SP3 / Dotnet 3.5

I ran the installation disc (supplied), made a cup of tea, ticked the boxes, responded to the questions.

When you are asked (and only when prompted) - connected my USB cable and the printer to the computer... This is where the problems started.

The function of 'Full' whistles and software bells began to try to detect my camera.

He was defeated by Windows Harward "Wizard" - saying it had detected a new device... but it can be installed "due to a missing Module.

About 2 seconds later - the HP software "Full Feature" he spits is dummy and tells me to connect my printer and check the USB cord...

Yes - I replaced the power cord USB ther with 4 different ones I have alternatives, but also try different USB ports on my computer.

    Always the same question.

    However-

The Scanner was installed - and works very well.

So, I tried a forced installation of "Backdoor" of the drivers of the printer - via the Windows hardware Manager.

This all seemed so promising - the pilots finally looked as if they were installing.
99%, the hardware Popup Manager informed me that my "device had been correctly install '...

About 1 second later - another window will appear - now telling me that it was not possible to "do something"? and that my ' device was not installed.

A quick look through the driver manager showed me that my scanner was installed, but the printer was not.

I completely uninstalled the HP software, then Dot Net... cleaned all Temp files and deleted all entries in registry rogeu.

Then restarted my computer (after checking that USB 2 has been enabled in Bios - who it was)

I then reinstalled the far Dot Net (downloaded via the HP Web site) and the "Full Feature" software (also courtesy of the HP site) this day... and...

    .. even the same.

    In short - I tried:

    • Remove all previous installations of HP and Dot Net 3.5 software
    • Relocation of all of the above
    • 4 x different USB cords
    • All the different USB ports on my PC
    • Swearing and the curse (usually works with Microsoft Products only)

The only thing I have NOT tried, is witch Craft and Country dance.

Any other suggestions would be very appreciated...

    Update...

I completely erased from my hard drive and reinstalled XP, SP3/Net fix...

The printer is installed the first time.

    If everything is working now.

There was something installed hidden somewhere that the installation process didn't like.

Thanks for your help with this.
