  Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the BIOS ( f10 ) and under the Advanced or the Diagnostic tab, you will find the possibility to run tests on the hard drive and memory.

  My operating system is Vista Home Premium 32-bit with Service Pack 2.

  I use my laptop more than 20 hours a day. I have connected my laptop to the power adapter that connected to the ups (uninterruptible power supply) and from there it connects to the wall jack. Given that I have turn my laptop so long, so I removed my battery and put aside. Because I thaught if I have my battery is connected with my laptop, then life battery will decrease since I use my laptop for more than 20 hours a day. That's why I took off. I'm using this method for a few years.

  I use my PC laptop battery only when I travel I make much less.

  So I was wandering if it is good practice to remove the battery and run the laptop for power adapter?

  My battery will be coming for many years or it will get cuttings due to not use it for a long time?

  What is your opinion, to run the laptop with the battery or not - computer since I use my laptop more than 20 hours a day?

  It is certainly very well run Notepad on just the AC adapter.

  Regarding the battery once a month, reinsert the battery, turn the machine on and let the battery fully charged.  Unplug the AC adapter and let the unit run until you start getting a "low battery" warning  Completely load it again, then let the battery drain to about 40%.  Shut down the laptop, remove the battery and store it separately in a cool place.  Repeat this procedure each month will help you keep your battery in good condition.

• I can receive but not send mail? Had worked for 2 years? The settings seem ok... Help!

  My Windows email account has suddenly stopped working. I can still receive mail to my account, but I'm prompted to log on to my POP3 account by a box of "Windows Security" popping up whenever I try to send an e-mail, or press the send/receive tab.

  If you have 3 machines with the same problem and you don't change anything, really pointing to the server.  See if you can telnet to him (see http://techhelp.santovec.us/pop3telnet.htm).  Who uses the same username and password as WinMail, so if this does not work, there is something that goes wrong at the server level.  Additionally, if you can, try to connect via webmail and see if it works.

  Someone posted a similar question.  However, so far, my problem is with youtube.  The computer worked perfectly after a few updates/updates (hardware) over the past 3 years.

  I just did the update flash there are 15 to 20 min.  I saw about 30 youtube videos.  The sound stops randomly, usually within 30 to 60 seconds.  The sound remains inactive until I have move forward in the video.  It stays on for 20-30 seconds that remain turned off.  Adobe did affect my computer?

  Thanks for the heads up.  If I had to guess, it's either a bug in video playback that we injected when adding support for HTTP Live Streaming or Windows 8, or we rely on video or audio hardware acceleration in a situation where it has not been previously used on your machine.

• MSOutlook2003 stops sending emails after working for many years!

  Yesterday, Outlook2003 suddenly stopped connecting to the SMTP server on one of my hosted domain accounts (organised by inmotionhosting)

• Lexmark X502n all-in - One Printer work for printing, but not scan

  Installing Win7 (64 - bit, Enterprise) driver for these printers worked very well only for printing.

  A driver for the scanner will not be detected and I find an entry in the Device Manager als Scan with the ID of 'USB\VID_043D & PID_0109 & REV_0001 & MI_01' material

  The 'top' company Lexmark :-( Support replied on my survey abou this, that there is no support for this printer, weather by lexmark, or Microsoft. But on their own support page (http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=content&id=os6&locale=EN&userlocale=EN_UK), they offer to use the Windows 7 operating system driver.

  Have someone at - it an idea how to get scanner work?

  The driver offered to Microsoft by Lexmark is very basic and will allow only for printing so that you can always get the main use of your Lexmark all in one.

  Support ended with XP and there had been no complete driver released for Vista or Windows 7 package and will never be. Lexmark being solely responsible for drivers, if you want to scan functions, you can buy a product that has full Windows 7 support...

  Question 1: Ideally, it should show the popup in one event. Please check this messageStyledText event PPR and defined. Now I can only think of this.

• Bluetooth works for music, but not call

  When I pair my Xperia M2 with my PLT_BBTGO, even if the two Audio phone and Audio media is checked, the audio media doesn't seem working.  I tried to place a call while my bluetooth has been matched and it worked only through the phone itself, instead of the headset.  The same thing happened when I got a call.  The music player works fine.

  Your problem is that for some reason, the system is unable to properly match material with the SLIC table in BIOS, that is required to be able to triggered the key OEM_SLP with which the computer came installed.

  The normal solution is to change the key for that on your COA sticker - but you say that you are unable to read the key here.

  In such circumstances, are the only things you can do

  (1) Re-create the license store - in which case it's a minor software problem causing the is

  2) try to update BIOS to the latest available Vista compatible one, since the manufacturer's website

  (3) contact the manufacturer and see if they can provide assistance to correct the SLIC table

  (4) a reformat and reinstall using the manufacturer's recovery media

  (5) purchase of a new license for Windows (or a new computer)

  It * may * be an alternative solution, if you are patient and persistent.

  Attempt to activate by phone and speak to an operator - they will tell you that your current key is locked (they then seek confirmation of your product key). Explain your problem, you must change the key of your sticker, but the thumbnail is unreadable (they could please provide a replacement key?). If all goes well, they will request documentary proof of the sticker, in the form of an e-mail with a picture of the affected tile - and you can proceed from there.

  It sometimes takes two or three calls before you get an operator who knows and uses this procedure, but I know that it is possible and happens.
