Format HD with Windows XP. Sold your desktop Gateway 2004
I sold a 2004 gateway and 510 with Windows XP. I go to Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, administrative tools, computer management, storage, disk management. Then I see the hard disk (Drive), Partition. Right click and 'Format' is not highlighted so that I can click on this. I tried to change administrator and cannot even click on Format.
I downloaded the DBAN, however it seems that he needs a program to open it.
You can not 'open' the downloaded file of DBAN (dban - 2.2.7_i586.iso)... You must download and install ImgBurn and then use it with the downloaded iso file to create a bootable CD.

Windows live messenger does not work with Windows vista on the desktop but on laptop
I tried to remove and then reloading the whole windows live package. But windows vista is blocking windows live Messenger every time dang. These are the claims that it is closed by the DEP program. Why is it that if it is part of windows or a windows program? And why my computer laptop isn't a problem with it, but in my office? And I tried to add windows live messenger in the list of DEP programs, as indicated by the stupid help window and he ALWAYS breaks it. is - anyone has a SOLUTION? I really want to chat with my friends on my desktop and I can't do it directly from the website (which is annoying). I even downloaded the new version of messenger with the same results of DEP crash.

How can you save Windows Mail on your desktop?
Someone tell me how to save Windows Mail on my counter top? I work under Vista.
You want to save the messages on the desktop? Create a Windows folder on the desktop. Open WinMail and open a file. CTRL + A to highlight all messages. Left-click on them and drag them to the desktop folder. Messages will still be in WinMail until you remove them. -

I would like to do the same thing to do these discs mp3 on my computer windows 8, however I can not understand how do, can help a whole me with that?

Connection problem with Windows Live
Recently, a change has been introduced whereby it asked me to confirm my mobile number so that MS can send me a verification code that fits into a security process probably intended to check my Windows Live Sign On, however, it happens that it is not possible to select a mobile phone in my country (Malta, European Union).
I would also like to point out that even though I select Remember me, remember my password within logon, Windows Live Messenger still brings me my username and password for my Windows Live ID account (* address email is removed from the privacy *); This is why does not remember my login credentials. This happens on my laptop running Win XP SP3.
I also noticed that I am getting a problem of logon failure, when I try to login to my HP iPAQ which runs on Windows Mobile 2003.Hi Emil_d76,I recommend you post your query in Windows Live Messenger Forums for assistance with this issue. For the problem with Windows Mobile, post your query in Windows Phone Forums. -

< original="" title:="" windows="" 10="">
Hi Mitchell,
Thanks for posting on Microsoft Community.
According to the description, I understand the Windows compatibility check indicates that the Ethernet drivers are not compatible with Windows 10 on your Windows 7 computer. I will definitely help you to solve this problem.
I wish to inform you that the drivers are built by the manufacturer. Therefore, if the manufacturer does not have to build compatible with the upgraded version of Windows drivers and the compatibility check indicates that the drivers are not compatible so that you might face difficulties with the drivers on the new operating system.
However, you try to install the drivers in Compatibility Mode after upgrading you computer Windows 7-Windows 10. Please refer to the below mentioned steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode:
First download the driver from your computer manufacturer's website and install it then.

Chinese programs is not compatible with Windows 7 Home Premium?
I was hoping to find can run Chinese programs and show the characters without the language pack in windows 7?
Under Vista, I can't read my Chinese games because he presents himself as funny signs. Will this be a problem on Windows 7 if I do not use the Ultimate Edition and the language pack?
Hi pchau,
Thanks for posting in the Microsoft answers Community Forums.
In Windows Home Premium, you will not be able to change the display except French, Spanish, German, Japanese and English language.
To change your display in Chinese language, you need to purchase Windows 7 Upgrade Ultimate License.
After that, you must download and install Multi User Interface Language pack from Windows Update and install it to modify and use your programs display in Chinese language.
· Please see the link below for how to do to get the additional display language and edit them.

Open windows with the "preparing your desktop" and all the specific parameters of the lost user
Original title: laptop charge no office
Please bear with me, this is my first post and I'm not very computer literate. I have a laptop Packard Bell under Windows 7. Everything seemed fine until I turned it on the other day and after the login screen I noticed that the blue screen of windows had a message saying, preparing your desktop... it stayed for a few minutes and then he went to my office, but the screen was black and none of my usual icons were present. He has none of my usual icons in the taskbar either. My usual browser of choice is Chrome, but now there is only IE in the taskbar. I did a scan with Malwarebytes and it came with JS/Redir, I removed this and restarted the computer laptop, but had the same problem. I can't access the internet, but a strange thing is that the default fonts for things like email have been changed. Please help me get my usual workstation and familiar environment of return!
Hello Maurice Mann
Thank you for all the time and effort that you put in trying to help me with my laptop PC problem. I think that all the trouble which resulted from a faulty AVG!
I finally managed to uninstall this program, I started to make progress.
I finally got back on the internet by following the tips as follows: -.
Run the SFC system several times. Click Start, click all programs, and then accessories. Right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. Type or copy sfc/scannow then press ENTER. If it finds errors, but cannot fix try a couple of times again. If it still does not work, then restart.
I tried a few times and nothing happened, so I decided to make one last try and after a reboot, everything was back to normal. I had the help of Windows and pages of back Support, my office, and all of my favorite settings and I've been on the internet Wi - fi!
Thank you once again and I hope my information helps in the future.
