• Captivate (SWF) lesson freezes while loading the server

  I have a pretty big lesson of Captivate (193 slides, about 100 audio clips) created in Captivate 7.  The SWF file is 72 MB.

  It works fine from the computer, but when I put it on my Web site for testing (hosted by GoDaddy) it crashes while downloading.  He worked a few times, but most of the time it crashes.

  This will go eventually into an LMS, so my site is just to facilitate the review, but I'm worried to hang from the LMS.

  Sounds like a problem of bandwidth because of your module being too large.  If subsequently you will be loading in a SCORM compatible LMS, I suggest you consider break up into smaller modules and using the Multi-SCORM packaging tool that comes with Captivate to create a SCORM.  Then they will each a fraction of the current size and load a lot faster.

• Why my dreamweaver keep freezing when loading the file?

  What's up in the major part of my workflow until I get to the file upload. Once I have save the file and try to upload it via FTP Dreamweaver lock herself up and never completed the process.

  It is a .php file and is not large, around 3 kb. Dreamweaver saves the file locally before it crashes, so it seems to be the download itself.

  1. Please try to restore preferences for Dreamweaver and check if it works very well.

  2. If restoring preferences do not fix the test outcome for DW CC 2015 to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver.  (Before you uninstall DW make sure that time machine is disabled on your MAC)

  When uninstalling it creative cloud, please select the option 'Remove Yes preferences'

  A reboot is also recommended after the uninstall.

  I posted this question because the Adobe support had control of my computer for the last three days trying to solve this problem, without success.  The last support helper Chorfa, had me remove QuickTime and re install which solves the problem.  Maybe this post can help someone else as well.

  Post the details of the version of the application and the operating system.

  Have you from the correct env file before running FNDCPASS? See (Doc ID 943005.1) for more details.

  If it comes to 12.1.x on Linux OS, please make sure that you follow all the steps by (Doc ID 761564.1) / (Doc ID 761566.1) and you have all applied pre - req OS packages.

  Realize that Oracle provides the PATCH of the DATABASE for different versions of the OS & if you apply the patch to the database for the version of Solaris on a HP version.

• C9 no loading of svg files

  Because I was getting a unusable result of C8 for the mobile device because of the bad image quality, (such as discussed here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1888329?start=0 & tstart = 0) I downloaded a trial version of C9.

  I will happily buy C9 if she manages to post images without distortion and pixellisant them.

  With the opening of C9, I discovered that you can now import svg files, which should solve my problem!

  I saved all of my vector graphics and text in Illustrator svg files. At the time of publication, if I open the index file, the project seems perfect. However, I loaded the files published on a field so that I could test this more on mobile and tablet, but cannot get past the loading screen.

  I tested with a sensitive empty project and this loads very well. So, logically, it should be svg files.

  I just wanted you to know that we have a solution (thanks to Sonia from Adobe!)

  It seems that these errors were caused by a third party application download - I used FileZilla. I downloaded the course directly from my cPanel and that did the trick.

• Vista Start, freeze at loading green bar screen then blue and then restart

  Sorry if this is a repost, I look for a solution to this for 2 days on various forums and have not experienced this problem yet.
  I got my PC for about a year, it is a free version, it worked without any problems until a couple of weeks, where it started to slow down like crazy. Unfortunately, I was in College at the time and my brother does me on issues. It would essentially work normally (but a bit slow) and then freeze every few seconds. Once he was able to start - I think that the error message was that the boot files were corrupt or something, but it was an a stop.

  After about 3 weeks of slow driving, it has started to do the following:

  I turn it on and it tries to start. The progress bar green for microsoft vista comes up for a few seconds, then a blue screen of death hot flushes (too fast to read anything on this subject) upward and the PC restarts.
  If I try to start in safe mode it freezes while it lists the drivers
  its loading. The latest display driver is constantly crcdisk.sys. (I tried all security modes and last good config without result).

  I put in the recovery disc, choose the language and click Windows repair.
  The next dialog box is called System Recovery Options. The problem that I get here, it's that there are no operating system in the list. It says that I should look for the hard disk drivers, but I don't know how to find them. My drive is a 1 to seagate barracuda.

  Wierdly when I choose the option to install as if I was going to do a complete reinstall did it come with a disk of 1 TB on options and drive didn't spent the short seatools test. When I tried the seatools long test program frozen before the same test started.

  The hard drive has a lot of photos and I don't want to lose so I'm hesitant to do a complete reinstall.

  I also was not able to run a memory test because I can't find the memory test facility in my BIOS. I found once, but can't seem to figure out where it is more. The motherboard is the gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P.

  I think you have a hardware problem with your hard drive.  You need to consider (the system) to a competent computer repair shop for service, repair or replacement (or you can send it to the manufacturer for service - check on prices, warranties and other times before deciding).  A problem of crcdisk.sys is typical disc hard problem (but it may be other things) - but your problem description convince me that it's the hard drive.

  If you can make a drive on another computer, make a recovery disk using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with the burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD (perhaps made on another computer).  One of the options on this disc is a Test of memory, so you can at least try it - but the problem is probably not the RAM, but rather the hard drive.

  You can use Knoppixhttp://www.knopper.net/knoppix/index-en.html with a good ISO as Copier: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm as well as a blank CD (done from another computer).  This should give you enough access to the system (if you do not have any other means) to back up your important data, unless the hard drive is so far that even if it won't let you. You can try to slave the drive to another computer and see if you can access the data in this way - if so, at least you will be able to backup your data.  If this isn't the case, I'm afraid only a data recovery technician can help and they are very expensive and do not guarantee the results - but the decision is yours.

  At this point, if you want you can try a reinstall full (if it works) have nothing to lose. If it works fine.  Is that the problem persists, then it's almost certainly the hard drive.

  When we pass the rolls of paper, #2 roller #1 rollers, it loads the paper roll #1, long (1.5 meters) and the display freezes at "loading the roll #1. Nothing else happens, the screen is it freeze.

• My laptop with Vista OS professional started to freeze while I have seen working on e-mail in Outlook

  The frequesncy of the problem is increasing. My lap top freezes while I work on the emails I have Outlook. At first, I thought that I had to open several applications, but after looking carefully what I do when frost occurs, blocking is somehow associated with outlook. I use a laptop in a docking station with two monitors very one connected with the dockiing station, the other with a switch that I never have problems with the monitors, so I don't think that has anything to do with the problem even if it's the equipment 'extra' oly I put up with the laptop.

  The only way I can cancel the gel is to turn off the laptop and it reboot. This is starting to happen to often turn the laptop off with on a clean shutdown.

  AAH... to allow you to import an .svg, the layout of the theme that you generate must be "custom".  You who choose when you go to file > new.  See if that does the trick.
