No sound, probably due to IDT Audio Codec

There I s no sound on my laptop. The speakers are on, Windows said that they are working correctly. All volumes are high, the sound is not muted etc. But I have no sound anywhere. I uninstalled the drivers on IDT Audio Codec, reset values in my bios to their originals (if they are not first). I've been running the windows audioplayback diagnostic. Moved back to the old version of my registry but nothing seems to work.

I've been through this forum and did what some of the recommended people, but still it does not work. Although windows shows that IDT Audio Codec works fine, I get an errormessage is not able to play the test tone (or is the translation from Dutch). Also, Windows Media player does not work and falls to me on the page with the error C00D11B1. Playback of a DVD does not work. And when you try to update the driver IDT Audio Codec, it says it's updated. Also put all the settings of the sound (as sound to the standard settings).

I think I deleted the driver when clean with CCleaner if that is probably the reason. Also after checking with this forum, I launched two driverpackages SP59291 and SP6355, but unfortunately they did not work, and they probably have not the right version for my installation. Alhtough the letter of the two has brought back windows system signals to start etc.  The current version of the driver is 6.10.6329.0. I checked the site to find the specific version for my HP laptop, but couldn't find it, no matter who any idea what I could do? Thank you very much!

  • IDT Audio Codec time Sound speakers but not with headphones on ENVY DV7 series laptop

I bought my laptop not more than two months ago. Its perfectly played through my helmet literally the day before yesterday.

Only two changes have occurred since then, first of all I accidentally plugged my headphones into the external microphone jack, then I updated the 'Music' for Windows 8 PC application.

After my sound stopped working. I restored my PC to a restore point dated before its no longer works in my helmet, however resonates once again that in my speakers (when my headphones are disconnected). When I plug my headphones, sound no longer plays in my speakers but no sound from my headphones either.

How can I get audio to play through my headphones?

Product name and number: Envy of HP dv7 Notebook PC C2h74UAR #ABA

    Hello

    Try the following.

First of all, download and reinstall the Chipset driver at the following link.

    Chipset Driver - Windows 8

    When reinstalling, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

When you're done, shut down the laptop, unplug the AC adapter and then remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio with headphones.

  • NO SOUND, PROBABLY DUE TO AVG

I lost all sound.  Headphones, speakers, YouTube, CD and computer beeps.  Nothing.  It happened when I installed AVG to take care of a problem of viruses and malware.  I have since uninstalled AVG.   I have a restore point to return AVG forwards, but that was lost in the debacle to get rid of AVG.   I now have SmartPCFixer, but it blocks when I ask him to solve sound problems.  SmartPCFixer had no solution.  I have installed new drivers, run all the tests recommended, installed the RealTek Codec pak, tried a different media player.  Tests on my sound card say that it works very well.  I used Mr. Fixit and all services troubleshooting.   The convenience store said that they have no solution for the problem.   Anyone else have any ideas?

  • HP Pavilion 2320tx g6: IDT HD Audio CODEC for HP Pavilion 2320tx g6

Hello! I used the IDT Audio CODEC for Windows 7/8 for a while, but a few days ago I accidentally uninstalled the Audio driver. I searched the internet for the suitable driver for my laptop, but the audio driver listed here package seems to be broken. After downloading the package and extraction, she seems to contain the Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver (must be contained in a sp61713) instead of the Driver Audio IDT. I can't find the original content of sp61716and so impossible to install the correct driver IDT. Anyway, the size of the file of the current binary file listed is 5.77 MB, too small for the IDT audio driver in my opinion.

I looked almost everywhere and downloaded dozens of pilots under 'IDT HD Audio 6.10.6417.0 A', but none of the .exe, I tried it, works.

I'll be happy if someone can link me the content of sp61716 (no, the ftp://15.193.112.22/ftp1/pub/softpaq/sp61501-62000/sp61716.exe package contains the Realtek Ethernet Controller Driver after extraction), or correct the original in the Support page link, so I can return my headphones to life.

    Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I tried system restore already, but it did not work. He showed that the restore was successful, but the pilot has the same default Microsoft, which does not help my helmet. At this point, I guess reinstall the appropriate driver is the only option I can think.

EDIT2: It is certainly not the problem of my helmet; they work very well on other devices. In addition, previously I had downloaded and installed the driver from the HP itself support page, and the old version of sp61716 was indeed the (good) driver to work.

    Hi there @Potla

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I appreciate that you try to reinstall the audio drivers. I'm happy to help you.

A method, you can try is to recover the pilot of the original image. See the following for how to do this:

  • IDT Audio stops working on Latitude E6230

Hello, in our society we use much Latitudes E5430/E5530/E6430/E6530/E6440/E6230 and most of them running Windows 8/8.1 x 64 with no problems.

One of our colleague with strted Latitude E6230 of problems with its IDT recently. However, there is no audio output to speakers or headphones. Even in the docking station. Drivers are correctly installed, Windows don't you just play the sounds.

The first solution was to uninstall the IDT sound card, reboot, reinstall, reboot and it worked. Now, this no longer works. I booted Linux Mint Xfce 16, sound works fine under linux, so it should not be hardware problem.

BIOS is the last, so are pilots IDT directly from Dell. IDT is give any supported, so its place at Dell or MS.

Anyone has stumbled across it? Im a little unable to solve this problem. Realtek USB sound card works fine.

Reinstalling Windows is not an option, which would take much more time, everything else works fine. Motherboard has been replaced in the past due to problems with docking connector. I think that is not however make the motherboard.

Here are a few screenshots, sorry, they are in our Czech tongue. Drivers are correctly installed several times, depending on the device Windows is running fine. Windows Media Player cannot read mp3 or anything like that with her because he walked into the problems with the audio device.

Speaker configuration does not play the sound test, absically "couldn't play test sound.

Thanks in advance for reading and tips!

    Jimco

It doesn't seem to be a problem with the IDT driver, so probably something to do with Windows. But if you want, you can try the native audio driver for Windows. If the E6230 still has the same symptoms with the native driver then certainly not the fault of the IDT pilot.
    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "IDT High Definition Audio Codec".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart

Good, it helped actually, because there were two audio controllers. Was IDT Audio Codec and second was generic 'audio device High Definition Audio' so I installed the Windows driver generic Audio Codec IDT Audio Codec. After the reboot, there are two features high-definition Audio and sound works! Jack detection works also greatly.

Thank you wery much for this entry!

  • Lost sound laptop-ATI and IDT files deleted, restored, but still no sound

    Hello

By mistake I deleted files ATI high definition Audio Device and IDT Audio Codec.

When I realized that these were system files I restored them and reloaded the drivers, but I have still no sound and YouTube videos crash after about 10 seconds.

I checked the drivers in the Device Manager and for the IDT Codec, I get:

"Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might be installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or maybe it's a malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)  "

    Ideas everyone.

    Thank you

    Success!

In 'Control Panel' came in "Troubleshooting" and then "hardware and sound" and then under "Sound" automatically reloaded the drivers and it works again.

In "Setup/sound Panel" under 'Record and playback' IDT HD Audio CODEC drivers have reinstalled for speakers and headphones etc..

    Have all the sounds back

  • IDT High Definition Audio CODEC works only (no sound)

So I have a HP Envy 17 t-j100 jump movement and it's been a bit dodgy so far (I got to send twice for repairs of equipment), but now it's ruin on audio.

At random, it has stopped working, I checked my cell phone yesterday and the sound does not work, it says that the driver may be corrupted or missing. When I checked the Device Manager, the driver came with the same message, so I uninstalled and reinstalled the same. uninstalled the driver, rebooted the pc. start a "found new hardware wizard" popped up and I used automatic settings recommended for her to find the required driver. This was the case, the installation went, saw a back of screen with 'enabling' peripheral audio... written and then it crashed with an error:

then I tried to do the same thing several times. is went to the dell website, downloaded the driver chipset for my system, installed, did a reboot, installed the audio drivers for my system in the dell Web site.
