  Looks that you open the calendar application, and it seems to be synchronized with an online service, but would become so unresponsive. I'd start by starting in safe mode to see if it opens there. Boot in safe mode erases some system-level caches and performs a disk check and if possible repair.

  2. As soon as you hear the startup tone, hold down the SHIFT key.
  3. Release the SHIFT key when you see the logo Apple appears on the screen.

  After the Apple logo appears, this may take longer than usual to reach the login screen or your office. This is because your Mac performs a check of directory of your drive to boot in safe mode.

  Restart the application

  I had this same problem. I spent about 2 hours, the phone today with the support of palm. Here is the result: on the centro that I had to find and remove corrupt files (calendar of events) there.   Regarding your calendar freezing problem, looks like you have a corruption on your TX of the Calendar database.  It can be mounted in two ways:

  1. install DBfixit of Pimlico software.  The free download will scan your TX for corruption and will report what it finds.  To fix all the problems, you must purchase and register the program.

  2. the second way is to do a HotSync with the conduct of calendar set to "Desktop replaces the handheld computer."  This will write a clean copy of what is saved on your computer.  Since you seem to have lost the information, maybe it's not a viable option for you.  However, if you do not have much info on the calendar on the device, this can work!

  Hope you can help... have you tried most of the suggestions thread.   Hot Sync & Palm Desktop (v6.2) worked without problem.   Palm Desktop has suddenly didn't show no data in Contacts or calendar.   Subsequent attempts to Hot Sync froze during the synchronization of calendar.  After reading the discussion over there, I followed the procedures to uninstall Palm Desktop (including registry changes).  Re-install the v6.2 met Frost even during the first attempt to Hot Sync.   Uninstalled v6.2 new & re-installed only the older version of office provided on CD-ROM.   Same result during the first HotSync (a gel or a continuous loop during the calendar sync... no error codes displayed).  My unit features: Centro from Sprint with software v1.08 (operation without any problem).   Specifications of the PC: Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2.   Hot sync with USB cable connection.
