Frequent freezing
All a few minutes my computer freezes for a few seconds, then comes back. Occurs when I use most of the programs, including e-mail and Word (just happened then when I wrote this). Sometimes generates message "do not answer." Suggestions?
Any errors in the event log , which coincides with the gel?

Have you ever tried to recover the laptop back to factory settings?

Bottom Line: I HATE Firefox 4. It gives me all sorts of weird problems not to mention the frequent freezing MAC OS x 10.6.7. I want to go back to the last #3. It has been impeccable. And I tried to present this as your comments but when I hit the button submit, again, it would take. Grrrrrrrrr

Mail (version 9.3) frequently freezes, requires a reboot.
Mail under El Capitan (10.11.6) freezes frequently. Rebuild my Inbox, sent messages, Junk, etc was not rectified the problem. Seems arbitrary? Anyone else having this problem? All possible solutions to this?
Make a backup, preferably 2 on 2 separate drives.
Exit the Mail.
Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J. When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder. Go to Library/Containers/com.apple.mail. Move the folder com.apple.mail on your desktop. You must move the entire folder, not just the content.
Reboot, re-launch Mail and test. If the problem is resolved, recreate the required e-mail settings and import emails you want to save to the folder on the desktop. You can then put the file in the trash. If the problem persists, return the folder where you have guessed replacing one that is there.
If he does not repeat the above using Containers/com.apple.MailServiceAgent.

MBP frequently freezes / crashes on wake
I have a MBP 2012 Middle I got in 2013 and have had problems with since day 1. I narrowed down it to / Standby failure (details below), but I have no idea how fix or solve this. Any help would be appreciated. I apologize if I have provided too much information, didn't waste time everyone, asking for things that I should have mentioned!
H/w: MBP with 8 GB of RAM, USB hub with Mac keyboard, external HD (usually disabled), Time machine (usually disabled) disk and load cables for 2 iPhones attached. Apple bluetooth mouse. Sometimes I plug devices directly in the USB ports (instead of the hub).
History:
I take the computer to the Apple store 9 times since I got it. The second or third time (which was a few days after I got it) they replaced with a brand new, however that has not fixed the problem. They have made of the material tests and tests on it for the night and find nothing wrong with the hardware, which leads me to believe it's a software problem. The software that I use most often is Dropbox, Chrome, Coda 2 and Pathfinder, with various other things like Word and Excel from time to time.
Symptoms:
Here are some of the problems I had, which seem to occur in wake or shortly after waking from sleep
- USB ports do not work (frequently - sometimes set by putting the computer to sleep, usually can only be fixed by rebooting)
- Screen freezes on wake (infrequent - sleep sometimes allows the screen to work again for a minute, then it freezes once again)
- Slow to wake up (quite frequent - may last from 30 seconds to 2 minutes to wake up once opened)
- Hangs on the sleep/wake (rare - when open or closed nothing happens, and then after restarting the system about 30 seconds)
- Various other (all text files have been read that after the awakening, trackpad, listed as "not connected" after waking up, lost the ability to make windows to the front, the points will not force exit, reboot has not etc..)
Troubleshooting:
I did a lot of reading on this and that you have not found a good solution. Here are a few things I tried
- Reinstall OS X (I did probably 6 times since I got the computer, it doesn't seem to help)
- Repair disk permissions.
- Updated to OS X (I think I initially was Mountain Lion, now have el Capitan and the problems have persisted through all versions)
- Reset the PRAM/CMS (I think that PRAM may be an old term, but I've tried both anyway)
- Antivirus deleted and a few other programs I didn't need more
Accidents/gels don't happen all the time (last was 2/18), but they are often enough to be annoying. For the last one, I saw it in the newspaper. I think he can relate to Google Sync, which I've since turned it off. I have not had another accident since then, but it's only 4 days.

I just got off the phone with Tech Support and thought to reformat or send the laptop in for repair. This machine is essential to the Organization and I wanted to see first what other options are available.
My problem with the laptop is the machine will be closed and the fan will run quickly and audibly. The system is hot but not burning as if it was overheating. Only solution here is to cold start and restart the device. This happens almost every day.
Most of the applications running on this PC include QuickBooks 2007 and MS Office 2007 Applications FireFox 3.X. The last blocking occurred when only Outlook and Firefox have been opened. Event Viewer not proved very useful.
Is there a utility I can run to check the compatibility of the software, or is there any ideas as what Diagnostics can be run on this system?

Before send you the laptop to ASP I would recommend to recover the computer laptop back to factory settings.

These sounds like a higher temperature would affect the functionality of the laptop.
Perhaps the reason for freezing system.
Maybe some dust and debris clogged the fans of cooling/grids.Please check that you can remove the dust using a jet of compressed air should this allows it.
But if it s is not overheating issue then a technician must check the hardware.Welcome them

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A210 - 1 4 and updated upgraded to Windows 7 later. I have a problem in which case frequently the OS crashes during startup. This often happens and happens after the text "Starting Windows" appears, but before the windows logo appears. In this case I have to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE to reset the system and bring back to life, Windows 7 starts normally after that.
I tried to reinstall Windows 7 and it still does not work. I use the 32 bit version if that makes a difference. Recommends checking the HARD drive first.
There is a nice tool called Drive Fitness Test which can be downloaded from some 3rd party pages.
The tool is free and helps you run HARD drive Diagnostics tests.
If the HARD drive is ok, then the next step should be checking the RAM.Tools such as memtest86 + could be used to test the memory.
But even if there is no error, the RAM could be affected again I recommend that you test the new notebook with Rams
By the way: check if the BIOS is up to date!

Adobe Reader - Most recent as - Save frequently freezes
Often, I see this screen when I try to use Save slot of Acrobat Reader DC. Not all the time, but about 50% of the time it never loads the options of clouds or other options that it is supposed to load. Using WIN XP SP3 and OE 6 many crashes and freezes
I use WIN XP SP3 Home edition and OE6. I have three problems 1. Very slow operation. 2. frequent crashes when you delete the email. 3. frequent freezes and shuts down completely.
It makes it almost impossible to get anything done. It takes most of the morning to read my mail. Work with IE8 is the same slow, crashes, and freezes.
You probably corrupted dbx files. Compact all folders first and see which helps. If this isn't the case, create a new identity.

whenever I boot compu, needs about 4 boots (or more) before you actually do connect the screen and even in this case usually get freezes during the first connection or v soon after. Mem test (std) says no probs, Mem (extended) test abandoned the full 60% after 5.5 HOURS...
Have backlit usb kb (light effectively shows whats going on with usb bus); during the startup, it lights & unlights several times; However, frequent freezes usually see the kb lights go out, including during startup. During the "session" Informatics, freezing happens seemingly randomly, sometimes quite frequently, sometimes not much. Freeze freq see the kb off informed, although recently starts to become freezes with Ko lights still on.
When freezes happens, freq but not always bad noises of spkrs if theyre on (mobo not spkr) (X - Fi Fata1ity pro, pci, pci-e not; latest drivers etc installed Creative, except the last last Win Update, what installation pgm says "could not detect any supported product" - but the window title his research on pci-e bus?)
Someone has ideas how detect/identify what really is the prob? Is it possible to activate the startup mode where loads a file at a time & want to proceed next file loading b4? (F8 does not give this option in Vista) (& while I ask MS guys (please), what is with the refreshing line of a screen at a time after the 1st full screen during startup? looks like so above).

In addition, vaguely rembr space adjustment side for a Linux 'experience', at the time, but seems part Win mgr does not detect the Lx partns; could explain lack 50 GB of DISK space).
This story now. But for the record: this machine was lost when a virus? feat? wipe the TWO the BIOS * & * the backup BIOS, despite the victory & NIS being totally up-to-date. Cut a short mini saga, had to replace the motherboard, CPU, RAM and HDD (cost commercially wipe HARD drive 750GG (since don't want to take the risk of any malware assets re-wiping BIOS on new mobo) + ~ $5 = new 1.5 TB HARD drive).
Useless Norton (of course, no guarantee of any anti-malware; & licenses end-user generally designed to protect the machine, not the user)-do not use Norton again for sure for sure.
But I wonder if the above problems were foreshadowing this?PS: "a defective"material"" guy - all components (not to mention the cpu, ram, motherboard, replaced & hdd) (but including food) were transferred to the 'new' machine and always seem to work very well from March 2012) (& old HDD still intact).
