• Lost the remote TCP/IP connection through NOR-MAX

  Here's my full configuration process:
  1. install the Passport VISA LeCroyVICPPassportInstaller_1.0.8.exe , LeCroy oscilloscope

  2. setting of the session to follow the instructions (as per joint, LAB_WM827.pdf)

  [by the way, I'm not able to configure the session as "VCIP:'type', I only be able to configure the session asTCPIP0:: 1861:OCKET" ""]
     
      TCP/IP resources VISA-> Create TCP/IP new resource...-> Raw Socket
     Set the IP address: 137.57.96.8 (this IP address is successful to be ping by PC and this address is of course belong to the 104Xi WaveRunner oscilloscope)
  Set the port number: 1861

  3. then, there will be a new resource under "resources VISA TCP/IP". Select this option and 'VISA Open Session'. A dialog box will be retractable to the communication of the instrument.

  4. go to the tab "viSetAttribute", the value VI_ATTR_TCP_KEEPALIVE to VI_TRUE, VI_ATTR_TMO_VALUE the value of 15000.

  * Connection: The ethernet cable is used through the server (No 1 to 1 connection) of the company,

  "After all this, I send '* IDN? \n"(dans l'onglet viWrite ), it returns the value 0 (which means no error occur) and return 6 counts. " So I try to read a buffer (in the viRead tab), but it send me error timeout (VI_ERROR_TMO). After that, I erase the buffer in viClear. Then, I repeat same steps, this time he (viRead) return me connection lost error (VI_ERROR_CONN_LOST).

  This situation is repeated every time that I reopen it new session. In the meantime, I also doubt that the viWrite did send the command to the oscilloscope or not. The oscilloscope was no response after that I have send "ASET" (WaveRunner 104Xi order for autosetup oscilloscope) through the viWrite tab.

  I am out of ideas now.

  What's my configuration OR-MAX problem? or hardware problem? or a server problem?

  Please advice... need help badly.

  Alan and LeCroy Support here...

  Use the type of connection (LXI).  The problem is that when you use the connection TCP/IP (ACIP) type, you cannot configure the WaveRunner 104MXi as a resource of VISA's TCP/IP in MAX.   Note that MAX is not 'hip' to recognize any instrument type TCPIP, including extended via ACIP LeCroy.  To use LXI, go to utilities > utility configuration... and then to the 'Remote' tab, where you will find the button on the left side of the screen of config to use 'LXI '.  If you don't see this button, you will probably need to update your firmware.

  With the type of connection (LXI), you can automatically find the scope through MAX, enter this amount as a VISA TCP/IP resource and configure an alias as well...  You can also point your web browser to the IP address of the bezel, and you will see a status page with information, including the name VISA always useful resource to use when you configure the scope in MAX.  (Note, however, there is no need to use MAX at all when the connections of VISA to LeCroy oscillloscopes!)

• NOR-MAX noncontinuable exception

  Hi all

  See the attached screen shot. When I try to change the NOT-Max camera file, I get this "noncontinuable exception." The file in question worked last week, and in fact NEITHER-MAX won't let me change any camera file that should work with this camera.  The camera is an evaluation from a supplier of the probe card and the file .icd I'm moving them here - it is currently working with my file .icd updated the. For me, it's the strangest part: the equipment works, everything is speaking to each other, I just can't change the camera files.

  I tried to run OR-MAX as administrator, thinking business HE might have eliminated a change of permissions. When I run as administrator and select the new camera file, NOR MAX just goes down, no pop-up window and the file still does not change.

  Installation LV2015 has indeed fixed the problem OR MAX. If a part of my previous installation has been corrupted. When I tried to repair the installation earlier today, I had not the installation media going TO practice (or I could have deleted the download like a fool), so I jumped this repair. Now it seems that the problem lies in him GOING somewhere.

• NI-VISA DURATION 5.4.1 questions about the installer.

  All,

  I have a question that I hope you can help me with. I have a user that I am trying to run an installer for Labview 2012 with Runtime OR 5.4.1. When I run the installer with the driver NI-VISA of Runtime 5.4.1 checked, I get an error that says this:

  "Unsupported version of NI-detected VISA" a version of NI-VISA, which is not supported on this operating system were found. You must cancel this installation and uninstall the old version before continuing. Visit ni.com/frinfo and enter the Info Code CleanVista for more information.

  I went, but I don't see a problem with the problem I have. All other computers that have installed with VISA Installer installed very well without any problems. When I do not select the VISA duration, the installer works correctly. I need this part of Setup so that I can communicate with the COM port on a laptop that is Windows 7 32-bit system. My PC is also Win7 32 bit.

  I thought that to download the VISA_540runtime.exe as a storage facility, but it indicates that it is an unsupported Win32 application?

  I created a log file, but I don't know what I'm looking for. Can you help or shrink the cause?

  Solved my problem. I didn't know that Labview had already been installed, and a previous version of VISA was also installed. I removed it and the version of Labview and re-directed the installer without a hiccup.

• Compatibility of 64-bit of Windows 10 NOR-MAX,

  I plan my (forced) migration to Windows 10 this summer for my PXI chassis and noted that NEITHER-MAX 15.0 is not currently compatible with Windows 10, 64-bit (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/52818/en/) operating system. Has anyone heard any news on when / if will produce a compatible NOR-MAX always remember how much time OR took based on the latest versions of Windows?

  It is compatible with Windows 10 64-bit as long as you are using the 32-bit version of the software.

  You will see as very few packets NOR is designed to run natively as a 64-bit software on 64-bit Windows version.

• NOR-MAX 5: analysis of the instruments?

  I am currently developing my GPIB-USB-HS adapter using NOR-MAX version 5. Where is the button "Scan for Instruments' past? All my other systems are on the NOT-MAX 4.4.1.

  I was still unable to find it, so I went back to version 4.7.7 (who has the button "Scan for Instruments" in the usual place) and went from there.

• NOR-MAX recorded do not channel setting correctly

  I'm developing a system using Modules of field Point. I use 7 LabVIEW and NOR-MAX 3.0 to create commands and attributes for the FP-PG-522 module.

  To create an attribute of channel using NOR-MAX 3.0, I selects the FP-PG-522 module in the section of remote systems, select the desired channel, select the string attribute, then select Create point.

  A new item now appears in the data area. When I select this element, there is a description in the section 'Channels used on this point', which describes the attribute. For example, I chose the market time attribute. For this article, it says "this element represents the 'On Time' of the channels selected attribute. This attribute can be set to any integer between
  1 to 65535. "

  Then, I hit the SAVE button, which shows how to save the IAK file locally, so to save it on the module of ps2000.

  If I close OR-MAX 3 and restart, when I select the same new element in the data area, the attribute has changed. It doesn't seem to be any pattern, but I had such combinations as the "control" attributes, instead of the attribute "Generate impulses", etc..

  Then I have to delete all these channels and start again, however, data are still once, not saved correctly.

  Someone else knows this and knows a way around it?

  I use Project Explorer and I am trying to sign up NI-VISA duration 4.3, but during construction, I get a message that says:

  Locate the distribution of 'enable '. LabVIEW must copy a component installed or updated by the distribution to continue the construction of the installer.

  I don't know what is the distribution of 'Turn on' or where to find it! Help, please.

  Thanks for the suggestion, but I solved the problem in a different way.  I have downloaded the driver NI-VISA Run-time http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/989/lang/en 4.3 then it extracts into a folder.  I stressed Project Explorer in this folder, and it was properly.
  I was then able to build the project successfully.

  I'm working on an application for the acquisition of data that runs constantly and need to record data at intervals of 10 seconds for a duration of 2 seconds.

  On each interval recording, I have to create a new file that contains a number of journal in the name of the file (Test_1.txt, Test_2.txt,...);

  and add to the current time and date on the header of the file.

  My question is how can I do this with what I have so far?

  The attached vi is a notion of what I am trying to accomplish. The application also has the DAQmx read functions in the vicinity while loop.

  and a few manipulations of data. Apart from the main loop, I create and launch tasks DAQmx.

  Yes.  Do not change the destination directory.  The drivers will be add support for any version of LabVIEW, you installed from LabVIEW 2010.  This includes 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

  I'm currently developing a LabView tool (2011) with a camera from Manta G504B Ethernet. It is NOR-compatible IMAQdx but in NOR-MAX attributes are not the same as those found in LabView. I would like as my tool developed to be able to change the exposure and acquire values and lifestyles. However, these attributes do not appear in LabView but appear in NOR-MAX. is it possible to get these attributes in LabView, since these values will change very frequently?
