FT-record/replay feature is not supported by this virtual machine Windows Server 2012

Recently I came across a bug when I created a virtual machine with the latest versions of 5.1.0 - ESXi 838463, Client ver 5.1.0 - 860230, vCenter ver 5.1.0 - 880146. If you create a virtual machine on a Server Windows 2012 farm for some reason any recording/playback is disabled and you cannot implement fault tolerance mode. I found a good solution. You delete the virtual machine to inventory, and then re-create the virtual machine as a Windows 2008 R2 server and use the virtual machine that you deleted from the original disc of the inventory rather than create a new one. Then turn on FT. Then, go into the settings and change the operating system to Windows Server 2012. Fixed a problem. If all goes well they will fix this soon.

Jimmy S.

Default adapter for windows 2012 is E1000E, which is not supported for RecordReplay FT. If this is the case can you please try with another network card and see if it helps.

If this is not the case, can you please upload vm-support bundle or file a support ticket.

Thank you

We believe that it is somehow to do with Hyper-V under Windows 2008 and vWorkSpace running on Windows 2012 - the VHDX format is not supported by the version of Hyper-V server. A glance online confirms this. So my question is, how update the master image changed the format VHD vWorkSpace wants to use and is there a way to assign vWorkSpace don't know this format?

I have widely in search of a solution to this line and not found anything it either, nor there seems a clear way in the vWorkSpace console to change that.

    Hello

I suspect that you have created a snapshot on your model. It is not supported, if you delete the snapshot so that the .avhd is merged to the vhd/vhdx and update the model in vWorkspace again. If this does not work, you will need to delete the model of vWorkspace and then re-import.

  • Not supported by this version of Windows

I recently downgraded to windows 7 on my desktop Windows 8.1. I don't really like the feel of everything. Which is besides the point. When I reinstalled windows and went to update my drivers and I get a dialog box that says something in the sense of it are not supported by this version of windows. I really don't understand because all these programs and all the accessories that I ran fine until I upgraded to windows 8.

I am running Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit. Can someone help me out here?

I thought about it. I have two floppies installation for windows 7 and I thought I installed the right disk 64-bit but actually installed the 32-bit. So when I went to install the 64-bit drivers and nothing worked. Problem solved, however. I appreciate that you get you it right.

  • translation of binary 64 bit is not supported in a virtual machine (automatic deployment)

So I'm having some problems with a lab to deploy VMware Auto.

I did some research and still not be able to find a solution.

    I get the following error:

This virtual machine is configured for client operating systems 64-bit. However, 64-bit operations is not possible.

translation of binary 64 bit is not supported in a virtual machine.

Preferred mode is unavailable. using the binary translation instead.

This host is not compatible AMD - V.

Nested VMS are not supported with binary translation for external virtual machines. If you want to run virtual machines nested under ESX virtual machines, you need a host on which VMware Workstation supports Inet-VTx or AMD - V.

    The installation program:

    5.1 physical ESX

-AMD Opteron 8356 (AMD-V supported and enabled in the bios)

    Machine virtual Virtual vCenter

VMware workstation 10 on vCenter VM client

I put the client VMware workstation Operating System in VMware ESX 5i and when I turn on immediately I get the message.

Just for curiosity have defined the type of operating system Linux and the process works until the end where it reloading the kernel, so I guess that the message

The CPU has been disabled by the guest operating system. Power off or reset the virtual machine.

Also note that the works of any progress when I use Auto deploy PXE starts a virtual machine.

Unfortunately VMs cannot be managed in the profiles of the host, so I need to external devices as a host.

Any help would be greatly done his apprenticeship

    Thank you

In the processor for the vCenter VM settings, check the box of "Exposing material assistance to the guest operating system virtualization." (This setting is not available in the classic c# client. You must use the web client). See nested running VMs.

  • Change tracking (CTK) block is supported for this virtual machine, but was refused. This will increase the CPU proxy and consumption of IOP.

I have problems with a client of VMware image-level in an EMC Avamar backup. So far, we have not been able to find information about this message in the backup log file. It is originally the backup to take a very long period of time (on average 10-11 hours).

2014-02-28 14:20:57 avvcbimage < 14681 > Info: change tracking (CTK) block is supported for this virtual machine, but was refused. This will increase the CPU proxy and consumption of IOP.

We cannot determine why CBT is "denied". Has anyone here run across this issue before or seen any other type of backup VMware image have denied CBT?

Everything I checked watch that CBT is successfully activated since the file vmx for the customer to the Avamar config.

ESXi host is Enterprise Plus 4.1.0 260247

After spending some time on this issue, the ultimate resolution withdrew the Avamar vm and then add it again. After that, CBT began to work properly. It seems that there is a parameter that has been 'stuck' pertaining to this virtual machine that wasn't behaving properly.

    Hello

I have takena instant and then try to turn on the machine and get a message:

    Can you please help?

It seems that the configuration (.vmx) file has been deleted (zero byte). I recreated a new you have attached log files. Please replace the file corrupted with VMware Workstation (or at least tab of the virtual machine) closed in order to ensure that the replaced file gets read.

  • The State of Transition (VM_STATE_ON-> VM_STATE_CREATE_SNAPSHOT) not allowed for this virtual machine

Can't figure this one out and search Google is not come with much.

I have 13 virtual machines in my environment. They all use the same data store. 11 of them have no problems, but 2 of them fail with this error when you try to make a snapshot.

I tried to reboot the hypervisor and vmware vsphere services. I tried to remove and add the virtual machines of the inventory. None of the VMs directories have snapshot of the files already.

This usually means that you have material non-quiescable, as a tape device connected, or you have a persistence of defined virtual disk. I recomment you latter by default and try again, because this is the typical cause. Otherwise, other suspects are raw disk mappings (a fibre channel LUN) sent directly to your virtual machine, which cannot be suspended or IO DirectPath devices (USB or PCI cards series you will cross TSE of the VM). If this is the case, you're probably SOL.

I strongly suspect that you're a mode not supported on the persistence on a virtual disk to your virtual machine.

  • "Bluetooth is not supported by any version of windows servers... what exactly does that mean?

I am trying to set up a bluetooth connection between my mobile (Nokia X 6) and the new Acer lap top of page that is running windows 7. In the past, when using Vista and my Samsung phone it was easy through "control panel." With this new Windows7 however, it does seem to be an option to set up bluetooth. There is however "help" a section ' how to set up bluetooth or other wireless connections, which begins by saying that you can transfer information via bluetooth and other wireless means, he then goes on to describe these "other" methods wireless, adding a note that "Bluetooth is is not supported by any version of windows server. The lap top itself has a long side button Wi - Fi bluetooth button, which don't "turn on" or turn on when I press on it. I'm not very technical interest and just use the computer for my music and photo organizing and other simple functions. Apologies if it sounds ridiculous, but I think I'm getting conflicting information, is always available for use with windows bluetooth 7, if so does that mean say "he is not supported by windows servers? I just want to know if I forget something really obvious or if I should stop trying altogether with all bluetooth and focuss on other file transfer methods? All the advice in plain language or pointing me in the right direction will be so appreciated, thank you very much Frances

Turn off the laptop and look at the bottom of this one. If it doesn't have Bluetooth installed, there will be a white sticker with BLUETOOTH printed on it.

You don't have an edition of Windows Server. Those who would be Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and a bit like Vista and Windows 7, they come in many varieties, Web, Standard, Enterprise, data and 32 and 64-bit editions.

When you go into the Control Panel, you see an icon for Bluetooth? Bluetooth does appear in Device Manager?

  • Program will not run on a virtual machine

I wonder if someone can enlighten us. I did run some software video-projection for my church in a windows virtual machine 8.1 on Fusion 7.1.1 a recent update of this software means that now it does not work. I tried to reinstall it from a new download, a new installation of Windows 8.1, even a preview version of Windows 10. I made sure my Fusion installation is completely up to date and I tried to uninstall and then install VMWare tools. Nothing will make the software work, as soon as you click above to start it says "this software has stopped working". Yet it works perfectly OK on several windows computers. The software (Altervisions.com) company told me that they do not support running on virtual machines and I need to run windows under boot camp, but this does not work for me because I need both at the same time. I'm only using my computer to implement the presentation is not for their performance.

    Anyone any ideas please?

    Thank you

    Simon

    Simon,

Maybe you can try to install Easyship 6 in another virtual of Windows (clean) machine and see if it works. Alternatively, you can try using different HWv (10, 11) to run the virtual machine.

    Kind regards
