  Hello, I use the trial version of InDesign and wonder if because it's the trial version that I can't load Adobe custom scripts?  I downloaded and installed a custom calendar script [I can see the files extracted in/on my PC] but the app apparently doesn't see it.  Any help you offer is greatly appreciated.  Thank you

• Entities does not Contribution - very basic question

  My apologies for this very basic question: I am very new to Hyperion, with just one week of training! Anyway, I'm building a basic model and have noticed that my features are not in the dimension value roll altogether the [Contribution]. This means that entities do not roll upwards!
  
  It was suggested that problem was that I needed a Sub consolidate in the rules, but I put the attribute 'ConsolidationRules' = n. In the documentation it is defined as "N to use the consolidation by default and eliminations".
  
  I was wondering is there anything else that is needed to use default groups, or do I need to create rules?

  Why do you think that's not driving? If your building rules are set to "n" you don't need rules.

  Make sure that your presentation was made to IsConsoldiate. Make sure that you're displaying a "Parent.Child" to total Contribution.

  Where everyone was as frustrated by what I was, and I know that this exposes my ignorance but...

  1. in ExtendScript, F1 to open help.

  2. Select the product you are developing against in the help panel.

  3. Google what you want to do and, if you're lucky, you will find an object type or method name for try the search against

  (4 use the search help and I hope to whatever you hold dear that has you) corresponds to something useful and b) do not match too (both cases will cause absolutely no useful data)

  This will give you some (but very basic) syntax searchable guides... Buyer beware...

  Syntax guides do not, for example, distinguish (or provide details of) the difference between the IDS server or Office IDS and method signatures are different...

  Incomplete, awkward and a little difficult to use, but at least it is the documentation...

  Hi im very new to flash, but I'm looking to learn more about it, I tried to use the pre-built Flash components and I was just wondering where and how you can retrieve the values in the boxes checked
  
  I know how to check using the 1 box

  but I want to run through a series of 5 boxes and retrieve all the labels in a first time, I can probably work on verification, if they are checked, but all the I get filament is not set which, I guess, no value.

• Question very, very based on QML...

  I'm new to BB10 development and I have read on the provided tutorials and reference materials. As the title of my post, I have a very basic question for QML who may have a not so fundamental response:

  Just what exaclty QML can be used for? Literature in the documentation seems to suggest in places that QML is used for user interface elements scripts, while behind the scenes is done by code written in C++. Other documentation seems to hint that an application can be written in QML although the only examples I've seen of this apps that really only window UI elements.

  I guess that a shorter question would be: can I write a useful application entirely in QML without ever touching the C/C++?

  On a related note, when someone says that they wrote the app in "cascades", what are they referring to? Is the sequel to stunt development? It is referring to the use of QML / C + c++ / QT?

  You can think of as an extension of Qt which allows a more sophisticated user interface specially design for phones BB10 Cascades.

  QML we can consider, at its simplest, as a way to describe how you want to place controls on the screen.

  Where it gets complicated is the ability to use JavaScript in the QML himself file.

  So yes, it is possible to write completely competent applications entirely in QML/JavaScript and do not write any C++.

• A related issue of the very Basic Editor

  Dreamweaver is considered a versatile HTML & matured, editing tool, but (surprise) I couldn't find a facility in Dreamweaver (as found in some free tools like Aptana Studio) very basic HTML editing.

  In the code editor, if I click on a HTML tag (as), the editor should emphasize the end tag, but Dreamweaver editor does not only? Am I missing something?

• Pix 515E, VERY basic question

  I just pulled the thing out of the box and he turned on.

  I put it on our internal network plugged a laptop inside interface and went through the Setup Wizard.

  I gave the external interface a static address, said pat for internal systems (just the laptop listed above), and all seemed well.

  He already seems to be an access rule that allows all outbound traffic, but I can see something beyond the inside interface (192.168.1.1) on the laptop.

  I ping around the world since the pix, but the poor internal system sees nothing.

  I am very new to Cisco and am sure I'm missing something basic.

  Anyone want to help our a beginner?

  You can watch the traffic on any interface by applying

  the folloving command

  capture (capture name) int (interface name)

  through the show (name of capture) capt command you

  See the packets captured on this interface

  Example: I want to watch the traffic on the inside of the interface

  In capture tony type mode interface privileged (#) inside the

  then see tony snapshot

  In this case, you should see incoming ICMP echo packets to the laptop. (I don't think they come, I guess you don't have the road to the 192.168.0.0 network (or just default to 192.168.1.1 - and only road!) in your laptop). Try the road print on laptop computer command to check.

  ICMP commands in your configuration are not ACL commands, they control only ICMP join the PIX

  interfaces, no ICMP by PIX.

  So I don't think that you can successfully ping

  192.168.0.111 ICMP echo packets, but should leave

  the PIX outside interface and the response to the ICMP echo

  192.168.0.111 packets would be arrested to that

  return ping interface. This could be seen in

  PIX log (see the logg). You must start logging in configuration by

  conf t

  LOGG on

  LOGG buff 7

  You can also apply the capture on the external interface.

  To get the return of packages 192.168.0.111 ping, you must apply a list of access on the external interface of the PIX. As written in the previous post.

  In a word flowplayer offers the video through your web browser. It does so via the HTTP (port 80) and on any web server progressive download

  Progressive download concludes the video on the server and played through the player it is being downloaded. 2 important things to take this are 1, the video is downloaded to clients, at the end of reading's hard drive, they will have a copy of your video that they can do what they want and repost it somewhere else. 2, it plays as it downloads, which means that if I see a video of 10 minutes on your site and want to skip to the middle or the end I have to wait for the entire video to download before viewing these segments. Your host, incidentally you will love for progressive download because it will appear as if your transfer rates went through the roof. Once demand for the video made it has not returned back, the customer gets all if they watch it or not.

  Flash media server using rtmp Protocol. This Protocol is an open protocol socket through port 1935. Essentially, it's a two way street. When the user views a video using FMS get basically just enough video to keep the connection open and satisfy the buffer necessary to ensure a clean reading. Bytes of info that carry the video go only to the memory of the users, not the hard drive. This allows the user to come and go around the film without having to wait for all to download.

  I would ask, by my knowledge of the component of ADF layout, conversion from a static design in Pages ADF Model/layout means actually build from scratch, because we have to use all the tags like StretchLayout/PanelLayout, etc... However the static design are mainly some html tags, I know it's common when convert static design to the dynamic, just want to know if there is some magic/innovator of do in the ADF, thank you very much.

  If your static design consist only of html tags, you are right that you have to build templates or pages from scratch using the adf framework available containers.

• Noob question: how to upgrade code very basic as2 as3.

  I was asked to update a web banner with old as2 code, and is not a coder or a regular user of Flash, I'm stuck with what I am certain is a simple problem. As part of the opening code is;

  After that, there are a few images that include timeOut (500); code, that seems pretty basic, so I imagine that my problems are all in the opening code.

  I get 4 errors that refer to the Frame 1;

  1120: access of undefined property pauseTimer.

  1067: constraint implied to a value of type CapOne_MM_648x480b_fla:MainTimeline to a type unrelated to function.

  1067: constraint implied to a value of type String to a type unrelated to number.

  1120: access of undefined property pauseTimer.

  For the code show you it would not need to convert to AS3 since between AS2 and AS3, it has not changed.  One thing he shouldn't do is to declare variables and given that pauseTimer is used in multiple functions must be declared outside any function.  Another thing you need to do is to specify the types of variables, including the arguments passed to the function.  Regarding the call to setInterval itself, it seems to write properly...
