Qosmio F30-117: Impossible to establish FTP connections

I have a Qosmio F30-117, windows XP, Norton Internet security.
When I try to FTP to my site I get FTP connection failed.

I tried it on a friends computer and the connection has been established the first time.
When I joined my laptop to its broadband - no FTp connection. This eliminates at least my router.

I tried to disbale parts of Norton Internet Security, without success.

so if I were you I would completely disable the Norton software and make sure that the Windows Firewall is to leave you hollow. If not, you should check if your friend has put in place properly. If you want to test that your machine is able to connect via FTP, then go to www.kernel.org and enter an ftp address.

Open your favorite FTP client, and then try to connect. If the connection fails really then double check all the settings and try again. I think that the problem is so low that everybody he oversees everything. ;)

I ve a strange problem with a new repository of child I ve created two weeks ago. Following situation:

We have a master and (until now) repository repository a child for two locations. Capture and deployment on each side works fine. Now we're getting a third place, so we need another hpdm gateway and a child repitory to this place.

I've added and configured as one worked and insert the IP address of the gateway again to a thin client to the new location. When I deploy an image on this client, I get the following error in the console of hpdm:

In your case, you have the prefix "ftp.". The "ftp: / /" is a protocol prefix. If it had been present, he should have been removed.

The 550 error is a message from the server indicating that the account that you are currently logged no has not the required permissions to perform the action you are trying. You can try to download on the wrong directory.

This is not a specific problem of the muse, I would suggest that you talk to the administrator of the server.

Cannot connect to the XMLDB via http, ftp, webdav

I can connect to XDB through a DEV instance on the same server, but cannot connect to the instance SCIDEV. The differences are THAT DEV is nls_characterset WE8MSWIN1252. SCIDEV is AL32UTF8. DEV has ports 8080 and 2100. SCIDEV has ports 8089 and 2102. HTTP request continuously a user / password without error. Watch FTP authentication failed. WebDAV continually requires a user name and password. I've tried a few things with no luck yet. What should I do to be able to connect? It is also published in Oracle support as SR 3-3043961271 technique. Please do not share the files downloaded in this forum SR.

Dreamweaver is not FTP very well?

For about two weeks, that I started to have problems (FTPing) to pages on my site. About one of every 12 attempts will fail. Never happened before. After several attempts, host my site and I thought that it was not the hosting server. They suggest maybe my ISP, but I'm still waiting a response from technical support. I've heard a few people say FTP of Dreamweaver features are not so good. I received two types of errors. Either a simple message saying the attempt has expired, a new today so-called "FTP error - failed to get server folder information. Dreamweaver has encountered an error in system file or network. Please try the operationi and contact the administrator if the error persists. "Moreover, as soon as I saw that, I ran a ping test and got these results:

Packets: Sent = 20, received = 20, lost = 0 (0% loss),
Time approximate round trip in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 197ms, Maximum = 1461ms, average = 265ms

Try using a dedicated FTP like Filezilla, Cute FTP or WS_FTP pro commodity. If you continue to have problems of connectivity, you can exclude DW as the source of your problems.

From my experience, normal DW FTP works fine.
