FUSION support

Hello

I need assistance with a procedure. I am for the first time using MERGE and difficulties with the INCLUSION of the FUSION part. Updates work correctly. This is the structure of the table

CREATE TABLE OF CALCULATIONS

ID NUMBER (10),

YEAR_MONTH VARCHAR2 (7).

DELAY NUMBER (10),

PERS_OUT NUMBER (5),

NUMBER (10) SELECTED.

NUMBER (10) OVERTIME.

WITHOUT NUMBER (2)

)

ALTER TABLE CALCULATIONS

ADD CONSTRAINT CALC_ID_YEARMONTH_PK PRIMARY KEY (ID, YEAR_MONTH)

/

INSERT IN THE CALCULATIONS OF THE VALUES (1, 201504, 0, 0, 0, 0, 2);

INSERT THE VALUES IN CALCULATIONS (2, 201504, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1);

INSERT THE VALUES IN CALCULATIONS (4, 201504, 0, 0, 0, 0, 20);

INSERT THE VALUES IN CALCULATIONS (6, 201504, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0);

COMMIT;

CREATE or replace PROCEDURE CALCULATIONS_TESTPROC

(number of p_id,

p_year_month varchar,

number of p_delay

number of p_pers_out

number of p_overtime

number of p_absent)

IS

Start

MERGE CALCULATIONS D

In the ABSENCE OF THE CALCULATIONS WHERE id = p_id and

YEAR_MONTH = p_year_month)

WE (D.id = p_id and D.year_month = p_year_month)

WHEN MATCHED THEN

Setting a DAY of SET D.delay = p_delay,

D.pers_out = p_pers_out,

D.overtime = p_overtime,

D.absent = p_absent

Execution of the procedure UPDATES are going very well. Here is an example

EXEC CALCULATIONS_TESTPROC(1,'201504',1,1,0,2)

Inserts do not move

EXEC CALCULATIONS_TESTPROC(3,'201504',1,1,0,2)

    VMware Fusion supports by using windows remote assistance? If so, some can give me how to proceed. I can't make it work in fusion. I have to stop and start Vista in bootcamp for windows remote assistance work. Thanks in advance for your answer.

    OK, so I installed Vista 64 bit Windows in a virtual machine.

    It loaded up, went ' start > Help and Support > Windows Remote Assistance'

    The guest came, I asked save the invitation to a file.

    Has taken this copied file there to my computer mac desktop, then on my XP VM.

    Double clicked on it from XP (and two virtual machines)

    It connected and starts fine, succeeded in part of the screen and the lot.

    The only things I've done in the machine was Vista disable UAC and the firewall.

    My bet is that it is the firewall.  Could be UAC, but I have just disabled to avoid boredom of ' are you sure you clicked right on what you clicked just?  REALLY REALLY sure? "

  • Installation of Windows 7 to be run as a VM Fusion on a MacBook Pro

    I installed Windows 7 RC on my Mac Pro (I used a whole HARD drive and I go under Boot Camp).

    I would like to install Windows 7 RC on my new laptop (gen MacBook Pro). There were a few disuccsions here when Win7 was the public beta Boot Camp or Fusion supporter, but I didn't know all the problems again with installing Boot Camp on my Mac Pro. The MacBook Pro, I haven't decided whether to perform the installation in a new Boot Camp partition (I currently have XP installed as a Fusion VM only) or only as a VM in Mac OS under Fusion. My questions:

    1. Can I use the same. ISO installer I already downloaded from the Microsoft site and engraved on a DVD; i.e., I need a unique activation code? If the answer is 'yes' is there a way to get a second Microsoft activation code without having to download another. ISO installer image?

    2. Once I solved that, can I install a VM Win7 on Fusion 2.0.4? If this is not the case, can I create a new Boot Camp partition and install Win7, then adopt the machine?

    Thank you very much

    Jim Robertson

    Hello

    Yes, you can even use. ISO Installer to install windows 7.0 on the merger, however, to cause activation, you may contact Microsoft.There is not necessary to create the new partition to boot camp, you can install windows 7 directly on the merger, you can check the link provided below, it will be useful:

  • Kernel panic reproducible when using VMWare Fusion and Cisco VPN

    I can reliable reproduce a kernel panic when I use VMWare Fusion and Cisco VPN set.

    Using either done alone causes no problem.

    I'm on a mac book pro using the latest updates from Apple for Leopard.

    My question is: How can I report this to VMWare without having to pay for support?

    When I go to the VMWare fusion support page he wants me to pay for an incident.

    I really do not want to pay them to help solve a kernel panic.  (They pay me .)

    Announcing the details here (don't forget to join the panic.log as in HOWTO: ask (and answer) Questions) will work.

    Cold Fusion support has been removed from the DW with the release of CC 2013.

    The last version to support CF was Creative Suite 6 (CS6 2012).

    If you are a subscriber to paying creative cloud, you can fall back to your Creative Cloud Desktop App CS6 clicking applications > all THE APPS, scroll down, click on the PREVIOUS VERSIONS.  CS6 will appear in the list options.

  • Question on the copy of VMs

    To make it easier to create new virtual machines, I create VM for Windows XP SP3 with my basic installed tools.  Fusion 1.X and 2.X I would then use VM Converter to create a new virtual machine based on my initial VM, and then I want to costumize it for the particular use.

    My first question is: if I do it with a virtual machine created by 3.x and using the older converter of the VM (3.0.3) created virtual machine will behave like a VM 2.X or a VM 3.X with respect to optimization of disk (this is Windows XP)?

    Second question is about why to use the VM converter in the first place, instead of simply copying the virtual machine.  I do only because I couldn't find a way to change the name of the file, so both can be in the same folder, without merging is unfortunate (the file name is also used by a number of files in the package).  Is there a way to make the easy way without VM converter?  I re-read these two documents, but did not find an index:

    No, the description is clear that making a separate copy eliminates conflicts.

    "Your guest operating system is Windows XP, and you have one or more SCSI virtual devices installed in your virtual machine."

    and there is a url to download the new driver.  But when I followed the url I have access to a general download page and I can't find the file (it's probably staring me in the face).  The original virtual machine was created in Fusion 3.0.0 and I don't get the message when opening, so it seems that the driver should be there?

    The driver is included in the virtual machine, there is no need to download another copy.

    Or should I just use IDE drives to avoid this problem?  I remember I chose a SCSI drive for my vm is because that the were more compatible with some of the environments, but I'm only using my vm on the Mac and occasionally in windows.

    SCSI is more compatible with other products, particularly products of the company as ESX/ESXi.  Fusion supports the same features as work/drive post and vice-verse.

  • What is the projected cost of virtualization?

    I ran a few tests to test discs, CPU and memory.

    (Intel XEON 5400 Series, 4 cores, 1 processor clocked at 2.66 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, concert 146 local 10 000 RPM SCSI, RAID-1, FreeBSD 7.1 64-bit)

    -The drive seems OK.  (diskinfo - t) It shows virtual faster than natives, but then the disc size is less physical, and there may be some early reading going on there.  Whatever it is, worst case is habitable, and the best of cases, it is much faster.  I'm not disc related in any case.

    Native:

    Transfer rate:

    outside: 102400 KB in 0,740411 s = 138302 KB/sec

    Middle: 102400 KB in 0,590457 s = 173425 KB/sec

    inside: 102400 KB in 0,816407 s = 125428 KB/sec

    inside: 102400 KB in 0,816407 s = 232638 KB/sec

    -Memory and CPU, the CPU has lost about 16 percent, which looks all right.  Memory is declining by 50% which is not what I was expecting:

    Ubench MEM: 115477 (-50%)

    -

    Ubench AVG: 622498 (21%)

    I played a few games with the amount of memory, CPU, etc.  None of this

    has worked. In fact, if I gave the VM just and all of the memory and CPU

    Let the VMware to make management of the resources and planning instead of me, he

    climbed, MUCH, MUCH better than me the trying to help reserving CPU or

    RAM for the hypervisor.  It is not even close.  I learned the hypervisor does a much better job of planning of resources so I don't "help".  I tried para, but it wouldn't start even in this way.

    I've seen several thorough tests done around the web and they systematically put the cost of virtualization at 25%, enough for this type of virtualization where VMs do not share the same kernel and 10% when they do.  It is possible that combo in the real world, this would align their conclusions of 25% penalty according to the CPU at the mixture of memory.  I would just catch someone is about to implement and make the ubench test and see if your fate like mine. It would be preferable if you have tested with a core of 4.  I noticed that you drop carrots, the cost of virtualization as a percent of the total increases disproportionately.  It is the opposite of physics where the addition of kernels normally has a rate of return.  That could make someone with a sensation of 2 core as if there is something wrong when it is quite normal.

    Thank you!

    2. what you have observed on memory is probably right, since you are using a processor intel cpu. New AMD processors have more fast memory manipulation because they support IVR.

    3. Although VMware Workstation and Fusion support directX9, several new games does not work well.

    4. add multiple virtual processors to a guest, is also something that you are only advised to do so only when necessary, even if ESX3.x handles this better that hosted products.

  • Server question

    Greetings,

    I animate web sites on linux (Red Hat) using Plesk 8.3.

    I have someone who wants to move his site on my server for hosting and their site is cold fusion.

    I noticed in plesk, there is a feature of 'cold fusion support' that I can install.

    My quesiton is: do I need Adobe software to host this site in addition to the plesk above provided a "cold fusion support?

    We use the Web Premium CS4 here but not cold fusion.

    Sorry if this is a stupid question.

    Thanks in advance,

    Bob

    I presume you are which means this: http://www.flexservers.com/plesk/addons.php#coldfusion ?

    That only adds a kind of interface on top of CF admin user own UI, I can say.  To make it work, you really need to buy (and install) ColdFusion.

    The response was libreoffice (which is free).

    Calc using (in LibreOffice spreadsheeting application), I created worksheets using text CSV files and save as with the 'Set' - ish checked Options, then set it to UTF - 16. Once files have been converted to UTF-16 CSVs, I deleted the data file from InDesign (which removes not placeholders), and then I attached the new CSVs Calc UTF-16 by using the data merge palette.

    It works reliably and all of my special characters are good and the Indesign displays correctly.

  • VMWare Fusion 7 / 3 displays not supported?

    Hello!

    I recently added a third monitor to my setup, but it seems that 3 screens could not be supported when using the unit. Here is my configuration:

    -2 external displays

    -Instance Windows Pro 8.1 with VMWare Tools installed

    I get a message saying Configuring display not taken in charge trying to allow the unit with the 3rd screen active. When I unplug the, it seems to work. I tried to increase the VRAM without success.

    Anyone who performs this type of installation with success? I can find no documentation saying it is or is not actually supported.

    Thank you!

    I use three monitors with Window 7 and my rMBP Fusion 7.  Two are HDMI, Display Port.

    Did some research here and found a post examining in detail the problem with Fusion 6.

    This post, mudaltsov wrote:

    We will work on the resolution of this problem in the merger, in the meantime, here is a workaround solution. Stop the virtual machine and cesser stop merger, and then add the following lines to the .vmx file:

    SVGA. AutoDetect = "FALSE".

    svga.numDisplays = '3 '.

    svga.vramSize = "134217728.

    svga.maxWidth = "8192"

    svga.maxHeight = "4096".

    This disable automatic detection of the display limit and allow the virtual machine to use up to 3 screens. You can change to 4 If you think that you could connect a 4th screen (using the Thunderbolt and HDMI ports). The absolute maximum number of supported views is currently 8.

    I followed the steps above and it works very well in Fusion 7 too.

  • VMware fusion 4 does support > 8 GB of RAM?

    I have been using fusion v3.1 that limits your RAM 8 GB, even if I have 32 GB installed on my Mac Pro.

    I think the upgrade to version 4 as talks of notes release on performance improvements.  Does anyone know if this includes increases the limit of memory of the virtual machine more than 8 GB?

    Officially, Fusion 4 supports 8 GB of memory through the user interface, according to the this KB:

    http://KB.VMware.com/kb/1014006

    You can edit your .vmx file to exceed this amount.

    Open your .vmx using a text editor and locate the following line:

    memsize = "1024".

    Change to the selected size and save the file.

    When you start the virtual computer, you will receive a notice that you have allocated more than 8 GB of RAM, click OK and the virtual machine will run with the new amount.

    The following KB will show you how to change your .vmx:
