Future 4G TouchPad

You will be able to convert your TouchPad HP 4 G or you can buy a different touchpad? Thank you!

What I read on the Touchpad and other tablets either you buy them as Wi - Fi or Wi - Fi + 3 G / 4G. So, I'm quite sure that the answer to your question, is that you will need to buy a tablet with capacity of 3G / 4G.

A work around that may be to buy a MI-Fi (Mobile Wi - Fi). You will need to have a data plan with a cell phone carrier, but in theory, it would not need to be the same as what you use for your cell phone. With this device, you can get a Wi - Fi connection wherever you can get cell phone signals.

  • Portege Z30 / driver Audio Replicator + Touchpad scroll problems

    Hello.

I bought a Z30 and I'm pretty happy with it that I worked for years with the Thinkpads (+ Dock)
but there are a few light (more or less can be addresses as a driver) questions that I discovered.

    Notice: I use Win7 64.

    (1) with the Replicator Docking Station, I'm not able to remove the USB Audio device is currently running.
As you play a video or music. -J' looked for a newer driver (from C-MEDIA) as the standard Microsoft Driver may not be the best choice but I have found NO Win7 drivers for this device. The pilots of C-MEDIA only I found is Win8.

    (2) ALPS Touchpad (pilot)... EH... the material error only on this model really seems to be the touchpad. It is quite difficult to click on buttons AccuPoint (those under the keyboard) and drivers of touchpard are not flexible somehow. Gestures are not actually enforced as it should... seems to be as ALPS had to work on without a lot of time. Synaptics would have been a much better choice.
The driver cannot be adjusted to speed with scroll gestures and by default is AVERAGE... really ridiculous WAY to fast. In short, it is unusable for regular use. That the effects of tape, the gesture with two fingers and also the gesture of circle. He is desperately missing from a slider to change speeds. Or at least some indication of registry settings.

Also please advice DAPS to add finger 2 tap as a regular feature in the driver. It can be used without any problem after minor registry change and it works without any problem.

    (3) in the manual NFC is listed, but I have not found ANY Z30 Z40 (Tecra) model has / contain probably the NFC module. -I've seen in some photos the flexband connector (must be for NFC) above the battery is actually present. -There will be a few spare parts (Please give me the ID number /) in the future?

    (4) smart card reader driver problem: I'm using the latest drivers and after some time and sleep (with Intel Rapid Start) the player first must be deactivated and reactivated to rework. certutil.exe - scinfo unresponsive until I have disable and re-enable the device.

    (5) I am absent in BIOS/UEFI to exclude startup devices. -This is normally a must have feature.

I think that the user manual contain parts which refers to different models of Toshiba as Portege Z30-A/Z30t-A / Satellite Z30-A/Z30t-A

Some models are equipped with an NFC function, but can not say with certainty what models support this feature exactly.
It turns out that in many cases the m2 additional connector be responsible for these additional modules.

Regarding the mode of UEFI: check if the BIOS update would add it. Some portable computers taken over this function after that the BIOS updated.

  • TouchPad freezes on Satellite L40 - 18Z

    Hi all, first Post.

I am a former technician of I.T. & worked on computers since 1984, & on laptops since 2001.

This topic is mainly about the L40 - 18Z, but 2 other models are mentioned.

I met a problem with the TouchPad on a Toshiba L40 - 18Z, (& also an A100-338) running costs two installs 32-bit Vista Home Premium but not a recovery Partition or a Dvd.
Same problem as well on a L300 - 25K running Windows 7 Edition Home Premium.

The touchpad freezes sometimes. Sometimes, you can move the arrow cursor, but very slowly.

All 3 work fine, now with a Usb mouse.

ALL the latest drivers on the Toshiba site are installed on laptops all 3.
All updates are installed with Microsoft.
ALL have the latest Bios updates.

The L300 - 25K & the A100-338, I think I solved the problem by installing the package of value added, but the VAP software is not listed in the section for the L40 drivers.
I tried both the L300 & A100 VAP on the L40, but they did not work.

Strangely, on the L40, I reduced the 1280 x 800 screen resolution to 1280 x 768 & the problem seems to have, at least for the last day or so!

Also, I found that unplugging the power cord "cured" the problem on all 3 laptops right now.

I tried to feed all 3 laptops without batteries at the same time that the fault occurred, but cela made no difference, while the batteries must be in agreement.

The L300 is my own personal laptop & the other 2 are members of the family.

I don't think that laptops specifications is relevant to this problem, but let's go anyway:

    Toshiba Equium L40 - 18Z (PSL48E-033008EN)
    32-bit Vista Home Premium
    Intel Cpu T2330 @ 1.60 ghz
    1.5 GB Ram Pc2-5300
    80 GB SATA hard drive
    TruBrite Lcd 15.4 "

    Toshiba A100-338 (PSAAQE-006008AV)
    32-bit Vista Home Premium
    Intel Cpu T5200 @ 1.60 ghz
    2 GB Pc2-5300 Ram
    100 GB SATA Hdd
    TruBrite Lcd 15.4 "

    Toshiba L300 - 25K (PSLB9E-03M02UEN)
32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium (original Vista HP)
    Intel Celeron 900 Cpu @ 2.20 ghz
    2 GB Pc2-5300 Ram
    120 GB SATA hard drive
    TruBrite Lcd 15.4 "

I would go to the bottom of this for all future repairs, so if anyone has any suggestions...?

    > I found that C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTPEnh.exe has been "blocked" so I moved the file to the desktop, unlocked, then he came back

SynTPEnh.exe belongs to the Synaptics touchpad driver and I think that you have software installed on the laptop that doesn't work with this touchpad driver
It's only a guess, but maybe some firewall or anti-virus tool could block this exe. Maybe you should check it using a clean operating system.

Also try reinstalling the driver for the touchpad maybe it helps.

  • Touchpad no longer works after update BIOS on Satellite A500-1GL

    Hello world

I just bought my laptop Satellite A500-1GL today. I started at the top and plays a bit (nothing serious). The touchpad worked very well at the moment.

Then I discovered this tool to update the material and the update of the BIOS that worked without any problems. After I restarted the laptop, BIOS, loaded the default values of the installation and recorded.
After that Windows 7 (x 64) started the touchpad no longer works...

I downloaded the driver here and installed again once, still does not. I went into the BIOS, disabled the touchpad (I thought that maybe it's a bug...) and started again. It still does not...

I enabled it again in the BIOS, tried to push the function + F9, but it still does not... Finally, I used the recovery and installed a Windows 7 costs.
    But unfortunately it still doesn't.

Now, I'm out of ideas, can anyone help?
Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

    Thanks in advance ;)

    Hello

It seems strange that after update Bios touchpad no longer works.

    > Is there a chance to get the older version of BIOS to downgrade it?

To be honest, I don't know where to find. In any case, do a search on Google. Perhaps, other users of the forum can give you a link to download.
The downgrade of the Bios is riskier upgrade procedure. So, be careful the next time...
Advice for the future; Do not touch the running system.

    Good luck!

  • G530 - how to disable TouchPad ' Tap to, click on "feature on Windows 7?

I've updated an old G530 (4446 23U) with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit last night and all more or less works (noise, wireless, webcam, etc.) but the only thing I'd really like to do is turn off the "tap to click" feature on the touchpad.

I downloaded the 64-bit drivers for Windows 7 for the TouchPad from lenovo.com, and it did not change some of the features that appear in the mouse settings in the Control Panel, tap-to-click deactivation is not one of the options.

    Any suggestions? Thank you!

Thank you - hope I don't have to reinstall the operating system since it was a Windows 7 fresh, generic installation already. I'll do the update of the BIOS today and after back so if someone falls on this in the future, they will know the result.

    Appreciate the help!

  • HP Pavilion dv7-4190us: touchpad buttons do not work

Last week, I received two HP Pavilion dv7-4190us laptops from Amazon. Both had the same problem: the buttons on the touchpad do not work. If you hit one of them, the result is the same if you hit the main part of the pad. Affecting the buttons in a particular function does not work. I checked in the Information System, which showed the touchpad as having 0 buttons. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with HP support, but they were unable to resolve the problem. I sent two computers laptops back to Amazon, ask for a refund. It's a shame that these otherwise great computers are rendered by this problem, making them unacceptable for me.

It turns out that the buttons on the touch pad work. The result of this 'problem' is my confusion over the operation of these buttons. On this touchpad (which is not like the others, I've used so far), the buttons are flush with the surface of the touch pad, and they do not respond to touch, but only in the same way as a button on the main part of the pad. The fact to the specific button functions, to firmly press a button. I found this by reading the answer to another user who has reported the same issue. I hope this can help to avoid confusion of someone else in the future.

  • E560 Touchpad - scrolling speed

    Hello

I have an E560 with Win7Pro, my problem is I want to change the speed of scrolling with two fingers when I am scrolling web sites.

To do this I have open the touchpad settings and set the speed to a lower 'confirm', the scroll has been slower, but only as long the window with the parameters of the touchpad was not closed. After I closed it, the scrolling speed is back as before (fast), when I open again the settings everythings looks that I've set. All the other options I changed for the touchpad are set and after that I closed the working parameters only the scrolling speed will not change.

I tried to do it with the old drivers and new drivers and in administrator mode, nothing works.

    Maybe you have an idea?

    Brgds,

I found the solution, but this isn't the way it should be done.

In the mouse option (I don't have a mouse) in the section "wheel," I had to change 2 lines of scrolling to scroll 1 line. Now, the speed is reduced but the scrolling is not smoth how it should be.

Problem has been reported to Lenovo support and I hope they'll release in the future new drivers for the touchpad and solve this problem.

  • HP Envy 17 J099nr: touchpad not working-Windows 10

Just upgraded windows 8.1 10 last night after finally got my laptop working again (broke 2 times with perhaps years of use value) and now my touchpad does not work. It was working fine all day and now it just stopped. And if I try to go into advanced options of mouse all that he says are "control panel extension is incompatible with the version of the driver," but the stripping of everywhere I see all the drivers are up to date and does not even give me an option to update.

    BaggierGordon41

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on the sudden touchpad problems in Win10 and wanted to help.

Unfortunately, Win10 forces automatically updates driver on each of us, without our knowledge and without our permission - and in this case, a work PC is suddenly 'broken '.  This could happen to you.

You must go to settings, update & Essensials--> Windows Update.

Then choose Advanced Options--> history to see when the updates have been applied last.  If you see one that include device drivers, who might be the problem. So, iff, you can, you should see if you can restore the drivers that are causing the problem.  Do you it by going into Device Manager, see if the wireless card is always listed and so, trying to restore the last driver update.

And if this resolves the problem, then disable future driver updates by using the information in the link: http://www.howtogeek.com/223864/how-to-uninstall-and-block-updates-and-drivers-on-windows-10/

If it does not, an alternative is something known as a repair installation.  It is less destructive of all Windows recovery features and rewrites the Windows system files, leaving your apps, settings and data intact.

To do this, you will need to use the link to the installation media to download Win10 and burn a DVD or create a USB key: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10

Once you have, follow the instructions in the link: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/16397-repair-install-windows-10-place-upgrade.html

After that, some people have reported is that, by going in the settings of the BIOS on the main tab, by changing the Advanced setting at the base, their features returned.

If this is not the same for the BIOS settings, or if that doesn't work, you can try to use the synaptic website touchpad drivers: http://www.synaptics.com/en/drivers.php
Note the comment on the page to set a Restore Point before trying one of these drivers.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

    Windows 10 has NOT detected:

After installing ALL the Acer provided drivers / except bluetooth / wireless - I still don't see:

    -SD card

    -touchpad

    Anyone with any suggestions?

If you please provide some real useful suggestions and not spam / copy paste things and so forth if possible

    Thank you!

Attached screenshot of the actual device manager:

The standard SDA... with! said is waiting for another start.

    I solved the problem:

I started to look for drivers for the whole family ES1 - x 11 and compare versions.

    For the Intel I/o drivers:

    ES1 - 111M page:

    Drivers of e/sIntelDriver e/s series604.10135.1001.530012.9 MB

    ES1-311 page:

    File name: IO Drivers_Intel_604.10135.1001.53001_W10x64_A

    Size on disk: 3.01 MB (3 163 333 bytes)

Additional SD card reader exist only on ES1-311 page for reasons...

    Card readerRealtekDriver card reader6.3.9600.212759.0 MB21/07/2015

Currently, there are 2 files with the same name and the version with different sizes and different publication date.

1, I installed the card reader - don't know if it was necessary or not, and then I discovered that the drivers of e/s are different version and I have installed the version of the ES1-311.

The ES1-311 (more large size / published on 2015.07.21) worked perfectly on ES1 - 111 M and now I paved tactile and SD card.

So for the future, dear users, please start and search all the site drivers Acer because probably, they are not paid for it or don't know not what grounds they may have to perform less steep than a 10 yo kid.

    Have a good day all!

  • Touchpad disabled suddenly on dv7

Sometimes when I work on my laptop I'll hear a strange tone and a light box appears on my screen with a picture of my touchpad with a diagonal red line through it.   At that time my touchpad is useless: I can't move my mouse at all, nor can I right or left click. My keyboard still works well. I have to close my computer to get my mouse etc to answer once again, but, in doing so, I may lose unsaved documents.  Why this height and how can I solve this problem in the future?

    Hello

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp50501-51000/sp50594.exe

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

When windows is loaded, you may need to reconfigure some of the parameters clickpad - a guide on this can be found on the following document.

With the help of & configuration the ClickPad.

  • Initial setup of TouchPad: device will not power on!

This morning I received my new 32 gb WiFi HP TouchPad by mail. I opened the content and began to charge the device. following the quick start guide. When I plugged my charger microUSB button began flashing (alternating left and right). Then I went to class for a few hours a returned (4 + hours elapsed). I returned home to find my HP TouchPad with a screen empty and the central button continues to Flash as before.

I tried to simply hold the power button (for more than a minute), holding power + Center (for more than a minute), holding power + several times by selecting Center, power + volume-to the top (usb mode), but none of these actions have given a different result. No low battery indicator, no logo of HP, still blinking Center button. I hope that the camera simply doesn't have enough charge still, but with each passing hour, I'm starting to think more and more that this is not the question as a whole.

Everyone knows the same symptoms as me, and if so, what measures have you taken to get your device to start the first time? Also just to clarify, should I try the hard reset with the power connected yet? (This is what I tried)

This diagnostic process seems quite useless, and it's starting to make me anxious. A solution of the community would be much appreciated before that I have to go visit my shrink for advice.

All humor, thank you in advance for your comments.

    -Devin

Thank you for your response. I already tried this several times, without any successful results. Should I try it with the power supply connected?

    Edit:

I found a solution! (A very ghetto one at that)

The cable for my phone HTC microUSB is slightly damaged, it becomes disconnected and can be shaken around when you are connected to the device easily. Using this cable, as well as the power adapter supplied by HP, I plugged the end microUSB for the TouchPad. Using the end of a pair of pliers, tweezers, I then supported the connector so that it would be flush with the device. About five minutes later, the backlight then on and displays the low battery indicator.

I have attached a photo in case someone else has this problem in the future. CM9 here I come!

  • The touchpad scrolling

For some reason, I had to install Windows 7 from a CD and two fingers scrolling of Dell had disappeared.

    Can I retrieve it?
    I really like this feature.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

This could be due to lack of correct touchpad driver after installing Windows. Please visit the website of the manufacturer of the computer support and download the latest driver available for Windows 7 touch pad and install it.

You can also check: automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware

  • Future of the Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR

It has been months since the last update to the AIR SDK. With all the excitement surrounding the NDK, I'm starting to think I may need to re - write my application from scratch to have access to the PB magnetometer and gyroscope. I'm no expert air but have learned to appreciate the power of the Adobe platform. But I also believe that its value is strongly decreased because of Lake access to sensors, BlueTooth. and the statement of the API. There is a whole class of advanced applications that are missing from the App World due to the RIM footdragging.

It is my understanding that AIR applications running on the desktop computer can access native libraries for things like BlueTooth and other material that is not directly supported. I don't understand why RIM has not yet published a simple extension to ActionScript so that I can complete my app.

Is this too much to ask for an official update from the vision of the RIM for the AIR SDK?

Personally, I think that more serious comments are noticed, discussed and propagated upwards when appropriate, and few things we are dealing with here are surprising in any way with persons on BOARD.

I think that in most cases, things that we complain are well understood, and they have plans to deal with a lot or most of them in the future releases (some may imminent, judging by reports in the last two days).

And I think that RIM expects a lot of these things, but simply felt forced into a strategy of liberation at the beginning (maybe a good strategy, if she somehow influenced things related to the TouchPad by RIM being first) with a lot of these things still in the works. I do not think that they have been "footdragging" much or at all, but are simply work very hard and invisibly for us, to bring us all these goodies as soon as possible. I can only wish for more transparency and communication on this subject, but their culture does not seem right now aligned with these principles.
