G20: Out stickers

I tried to remove the stickers of the G20, and there is a huge amount of glue now standing on this beautiful glossy black plastic.
What I'll use to get it out? Anyone has done out them? because they advise us not not to use any chemical liquid, so that can distort the plastic.

Hello

I agree with Norskman, don t use any product chemical mace.
You can try to remove the stickers with the drier hair. Hot air should make the glue slowly.

Good bye

As time passes, I find most annoying bugs with Vista EU on my Qosmio G20. I think I installed all the drivers available. But still things are simply unforgivable.
To be altruistic and all :), I would like to report bugs so someone could correct. But I do not know where to write to. just from Microsoft? Toshiba as well?

I am also interested in the status, the crew Toshiba trying to get Vista drivers for their 'old' models too? Coz I don't have this much trouble with Satellite Pro U200-10i, which came with Vista Business pre-installed.

    P. S. - does anyone know what is SP1 for Vista demand?

Vista bug? Hmm generally manufacturing operating system (Microsoft ;)) is responsible for the system clean. If you want you can report bugs in Vista to MS.

Regarding the drivers Vista for Qosmio G20:

I found this official document from Toshiba:

There, you will not find the Qosmio G20 series.
Sorry to say but it seems that drivers Vista for Qosmio G20 out :(

I agree with you on the performance of the G20. This notebook can handle the Vista operating system very easily. But in my opinion it s not a question of the performance of the laptop but the issue of delay. The Qosmio G20 series seems to be out of the reach of driver Vista

  • TV with a Qosmio G20 - Scart option out problem disappeared

I have a problem with my video card and its driver.
    I have a Qosmio G20 with a Nvidia GeForce Go 6600.
Yesterday, when I start my laptop I saw that some settings have disappeared.

I tried to connect the pc to the TV in the manner described here: http://support.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB4A00TK000MR01.htm
but the SCART option in the menu format of TV was vanished and he was in the bios setting too.

I tried to reinstall the display driver, but I have not solved my problem.
Now I can not connect the pc with tv and it is a very big problem for me.

Please help me if you can.
Thank you. (and sorry for my very bad English)

    Hello

Maybe the cable SCART is malfunctioning or is wrong?
Some cables have a misallocation of the PINS and, therefore, the connection of the TV not functions
In my opinion, the cable must be checked

The other reason for the missing scart PAL option in the BIOS could be a wrong setting of DMI. But this can be checked by an ASP.
Then try to communicate with the guys of technician and talk to them about the problem of lack of option SCART PAL in the BIOS.

  • BlackBerry BBM stickers cat Q10 - how opt-out? Get rid of this message?

    Hello

I'm a blackberry user because I do not play games or do eat very well.  I want a functional machine.

How can I get rid of this offer "Send stickers" that appears after you have configured my Q10?  There is also a malware?

By clicking on exit does not prevent the offer again to come.

Forcing "anime"or any software for that matter, about users is not acceptable.  I need to turn it off.

    Help, please!

Hit the right exit leaves the BBM. Hitting continue will take you right to BBM. Stickers is just a new feature in BBM BlackBerry wants you to know. You don't have to use them and you won't get anything boring. When you click on the smilies button when in a chat, there will be an icon to go to stickers if you want.

  • Qosmio G20 - 156 issue of battery internal

Having sent the G20 back under warranty for a revision complete, I got it back and put it away. It was not used for 2 years after checking that everything was working ok. Now when I turn it on I get a back like screen and I like the internal battery is gone!

I didn't even know that he was one who apparently runs out after about 5 years. Is this true and if so why didn't anyone tell you on this subject. It is also apparently only accessible if you remove most of the computer - is that correct and why is it so inaccessible?

They assume that these machines will not last 5 years?
What are my options, worth the time and money to get the battery replaced or should I sell just the computer as a whole to factory like new.
    Advice would be appreciated.

    Hello

I think you mean that the BIOS battery (also called battery CMOS).
Its ascent (in many cases also welded) on the motherboard and this battery feeds for BIOS.

Usually this battery is always charged when the AC adapter is plugged in and the laptop is turned on.

As far as I know the battery must be charged for 18 hours in order to get fully charged. Therefore, connect the power adapter and leave the laptop running for a longer period of time (6 pm). Then check if the battery would be charged.
If not, then the technician must verify and if necessary this part needs to be replaced.

I use PDAs for the last fifteen years and with them leaving a few small utilities.
    Regards frankiewizard.

    Hello Franklin

It is very nice to hear that you have decided to buy this laptop fantastic. For me, is a bit too expensive and I buy used a one day. A friend of mine has one and I'm very impressed.

On this unit are preinstalled many different tools and I recommend you to carefully read the user manuals and pick up information on the features. As far as I know battery monitoring is possible with the tool. With this tool, you can control the use of the battery and save a lot of energy if you use a device in battery mode.

Toshiba has designed tool system back up is unknown to me, but you can use the built-in Windows tools (tool to backup and restore and restore system perhaps tool).

  • Qosmio G20-114 does not start

I have a Toshiba Qosmio G20-114 that no longer starts. No display.

It turns on, the fan starts and you can hear the movement of HARD drive, but there is no display (not even if I plug in an external monitor).

It was Windows XP. All of a sudden stopped working for no apparent warning, no blue screen or the warning signs.

When I turn on the laptop I get a few lights on the keyboard space. (The light above the icon of TV, two lights and the light above the icon for media player, the power button just below the arrows)

I was surfing the internet all day for a solution and tried most of the workarounds proposed, for example; Take the battery and the charger out, leave for 10 minutes and then only replace the charger and try to switch on. Also; Remove a strip of RAM (and trade) and remove all the RAM. Still no luck, however.

I had an internal beep of her, but only once, it was 3 Quick beeps. Nothing since.

I'm willing to try any suggestion, although I like to keep the files on the HARD drive because of family photos and which do not.

    All suggestions greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    A frustrated user of Toshiba.

I think your problem is not how to save data to the HARD drive. You can remove the HARD drive and connect it to the other laptop using the 2.5 external HARD drive enclosure.
HARD drive will be recognized as external device and you should have full access to all stored data.
    Do this if possible.

On this virtual path it is not possible to provide an accurate diagnosis and to say with certainty what can be the problem, but I assume that the LCD is maybe defective.

Start your laptop and wait a while. Connect your laptop to an external device, and then try to use the FN + F5 key combination. Just to see if you will be able to switch between mode of laptops LCD and external monitor.

  • Qosmio G20 beep a screen much and dimming - why?

Sometimes my Qosmio G20 begins beeping very much and reduce the brightness on the screen.
This happens while it is running on the current and with the option of putting to the highest level.
Simoultanesly there is some blue lights above the keyboard that will start to blink.
The only way to stop this behavior is to press the button under the flashing blue light and then go into a control panel handle power settings. To do that I have to change the brightness, press on apply, restore the brightness and press on apply again. After that, it can work for a long time before the next incident.
I have the latest Windows updates, I have an anti virus installed, and I remove spyware installed, so I don't think that those who are to be suspected.

This happens usually when the PC play a film, but occasionally, sometimes while I play a game or when I use it for work.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

I recommend checking out Toshiba's energy saver.
Select your power mode and check the action of setting parameters.
Please check the settings of the alarm level.
You should take a look also on the basic settings. There, you can control the brightness of the screen.
Please keep in mind that the device uses patterns of Toshiba power saver in the Windows power options properties.

  • Qosmio G20 does not start

    Hello

Something is happening with my Qosmio G20.
Sometimes when I connect the plug to the computer the DC IN indicator flashes orange and the pc does not start.
A few hours later I try again and now DC IN indicator shows blue and I can boot my pc and I normally work for hours.
It's very strange. It happens regularly. A few days shows blue and works very well and some other orange flashes of days and I can't work and I have to keep trying to connect and disconnect until it flashes blue to put on.

Wouldn't be DC Power Charger malfunction? I've already ordered another of DC power charger to confirm, but my intuition says that is not the problem of the charger.
I remember the 1st time that never happen... I was charging my iPod through my Qosmio and out of the House and let it load it. When I arrived home, the laptop power light flashes orange and I thought it was in hibernation mode. But after that time it started to happen.
Before trying the new charger and reflections before sending it to the dealer?

    Thank you

This flashing provides an error code which means that an error has been detected on the motherboard.
It is difficult to say what could be possibly wrong power supply to electronic malfunction
But this is only my personal opinion

You should certainly contact someone who could verify the material and can run diagnostics tests

  • Qosmio G20 147: start-up time takes a bit of time than usual

Greetings to everyone out there in the land of the QOSMIO awareness! My G20-147 boot time seems to take longer and longer. Why?

    Hi Franklin

In my opinion, it depends on the configuration of the personal computer and installed applications. As you start to process all applications listed in the Startup should start and if you have a lot of them that can take a longer time.

In my opinion that you should don t worry about hardware (HARD drive) the features but you should check what unnecessary applications start automatically with Windows startup. You can check it out if you go to START > RUN > MSCONFG > OK. Under STARTUP tab it has listed all the applications that start with Windows. Remove the check mark in front applications you don t need initially.

To make the fastest device also run Defragmenter and disk cleanup tools.

    Hello

I recommend you to check the task manager during the ruin of CPU to 100%.
Here, you can see the processes tab.
You can try to find out what process needs the full CPU performance.
Sometimes similar issues are caused by several applications of spyware and viruses. You should check this possibility.

  • Encoder MPEG2 HW on Qosmio G20?

    Hi all

I have a "feeling" that in the Qosmio G20 there is a shortcut (for example) MPEG2 HW encoder to convert a VHS on DVD directly (with the grouped Intervideo WinDVD Recorder 2!)

Does anyone have any details about it?

    Thank you

    Hello

There is no MPEG2 decoder built in. I read a lot of Qosmio series in various PC magazines online and I read there is all the software decoded!

You can check it out yourself and look in the Device Manager, you will not find a hardware MPEG2 decoding device!

Maybe it's site will help you with the VHS to the DVD problem
