G510 i3 - 4000 M Wifi
In my new lenevo g510 i3 4000 M, I installed the windows 32 bit 8.1. There is no use of the F7 key with a plane on the keyboard sign. FN + F5 or Fn + F7 worked since the beginning of the day, I bought this model. I've never used the keys. I also tried with win 7, but no positive result. I tried with all the drivers from the supplied DVD and the link of lenevo installtion. Should I change the laptop or I'm wrong somewhere?
Hi aminduwal,
Thanks for posting, instead of using the DVD drivers could uninstall you the Lenovo energy management and install the Lenovo energy management from the link below?

hope this helps and do post back with your results.

Portege 4000 conflict between WiFi and Bluetooth on Windows 2000
I recently replaced XP with Win2000 on my Toshiba Portege 4000. I also downloaded the latest drivers from the Toshiba site, using pref to Win2000 and Portege 4000.
When you start the Bluetooth Stack V4.00.30 he wiped out the wireless LAN feature. I know that it is not possible to use Bluetooth and wireless at the same time.
However, it is a permanent disability. During the uninstallation of the Bluetooth stack V4.00.30, wireless comes back to life.
Is there someone who has a fix to this problem?Thank you!
Hello
Just a question: can use you the FN + F8 key combination to switch between WiFi and BT connection?
AFAIK it's between possible and turn on both devices at the same time. In this case, he's shown great caution with content to follow:
Devices Bluetooth and WirelessLAN function in the same radio frequency range and may interfere with each other. If you use Bluetooth devices and WirelessLAN simultaneously, you can sometimes meet optimal network performance or even lose your network connection. In this case, always stop a Bluetooth connection or your WirelessLAN
As I said using the FN + F8 key combination, you should be able to switch between WiFi and BT connection.

Lenovo G510 problem wifi and ethernet
Hello!
I have two Lenovo laptops, G50 and G510. The first works perfectly except the second after 10 months started yesterday which have problems with the network adapter.
The Wi - fi button is grayed out and cannot be opened and the ethernet port can not read any cable. I tried all the solutions I found on the web (deactivation and activation devices, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, updating the system and the system format) but failed. The ethernet adapter does not appear in network devices after the restoration of the system to its point original (format), even after installing the drivers for the network card I found in Lenovo support site. And all this happened yesterday when the only change in the system was a windows update. However if this was the problem of the restoration of the system, update and format should have fixed the issue.
I used windows 8.1 but now after the format I use 64-bit windows 8. Could you give advice? Could this be a hardware problem? I'm desperate here.
Really weird that both had fault at the same time. Try the following out the battery and the power source and press the power button without any power supply 5 times. And restart again.
If not try to work the boot in safe mode with network and see what is happening here. In the login screen hold down SHIFT key and choose reboot option. you will see Win8 advanced options.

G510 - update video card drivers
Hi, I have a Lenovo G510 with intel hd 4000 and radeon HD8750. I downloaded all the drivers for lenovo Download Center. When I tried to install the graphics card first, I first installed intel and after that, Radeon. When I restart my machine, I had a black screen. After the system restore, I tried to install in a different sequence. First, I installed AMD and after Intel. Yes, it works at all, switching graphics too. Now, I want to update my videocard to 14.4 of catalyst driver. Can I do it? Or will I get a black screen after installing amd after intel? Is it safe? Sorry for my bad English I hope that you will understand me )
Hi Fieras,.
If this is the problem, please uninstall the Intel driver as well from the laptop and then update the AMD and Intel graphics driver again as this is the only option available to check this problem.
Hope to hear back soon
Best regards

Pavilion dv7-4180us: dv7-4180us wifi upgrade
My dv7-4180us has a Broadcom Minipci wifi card bgn and gets only 72 Mbps on my home network. I am running agn + ac on my network. I understand that the wifi options are limited by the white list in the BIOS. I've probably lap by going with a USB adapter, but I would have preferred an intern. I have a Dell E6500 with Intel Centrino 5100 card that connects to 150-200 Mbit/s and I would be happy with this speed on the dv7. Which wifi compatible cards for my dv7 will give you the best performance of wifi? I was going to get the Intel Centrino 1000, but it tops out at 150 Mbps, which is also claimed max for the Broadcom card I already have.
In fact, my computer BIOS is dated in 2011.
Looks like my best bet is one of them:
Intel Centrino 1000 802.11b/g/n WLAN module 593530-001
4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN module 582564-001
The two are alleged to be 802.11n MIMO 1 x 2 with connection speed up to 300 Mbps.
I just bought the Intel 1000 for $6.00 + free shipping. DV7-4000 series system a traction. Even if this does not work I am not much.
Thanks for the reply.

Just in case you've seen my other question, this is not a repetition and is for another laptop.
Looking to update my wireless card in this laptop, but want to make sure that this laptop does not have restrictions on white list of the bios on wifi cards.
Model: DV7 - 4248ca
Product #: LG535UA #ABC
This laptop has the restriction of white list of the bios on the wifi cards can be used? If so, where can I find a list of cards I can use?
Yes, there is a whitelist on a dv7-4000, and here is the list of cards it will support:
See p. 24-26 of the manual here:
Cards compatible wi - fi must not only be the right chip but a real part of HP with HP part number.
Atheros AR9280 adapter WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n 2 x 2 580101-002
Who is the best on the list:
Unable to find one in the United States, but they are cheap and inexpensive to ship.
If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.

Yes, he does. I'm just using one on the laptop on my signature. It's the same series as yours. You don't need any part number, just get a generic on ebay, amazon or any other retailer map.

Canon MG6150 print using USB but no wifi. WiFi connection is OK
Printer is connected to the network but is "not ready". If the printer is reinstalled then it's ready and will scan and the printer status screen is active but it freezes and will not print. Turn off and on again once there is a WIFI connection but printer is 'not ready' initially, it worked perfectly, but I used the USB for a job, and since then, I have had this problem. I checked the firewall and this doesn't seem to be the problem.
Sony VAIO VPC-EB1Z0E Windows 7 Extreme
NETGEAR DGND-4000
Any suggestions will be welcomed.

I just installed the latest driver for MP who cured the problem. Choose just the WIFI connection turned out to be the solution.
A big thank you to anyone who was trying to help.

Several BSOD and wifi disconnects
I own an acer aspire E1 - 570
Specifications:-Intel i3-3217U(1.8Ghz, 3MB L3 cache)
4 GB of ram DDR3, 500 GB HDD. Graphics Intel hd 4000. Windows 8
It is almost 2 years old laptop everything worked and the laptop is not repaired as a result of any problem. 2 portable weeks ago freezes a bit and the wireless adapter has disappeared suddenly. I used windows 8.1 right here
Since that day I am faced several BSOD with different errors for example whea of incorrigible error, memory management to name a few, because I remember not all of them like every day, I see a new BSOD about 2 - 3 times a day. I tried all the simple, suggestion, troubleshooting advice literally all update the driver to install a copy of glass clean but wireless problem is unresolved and BSOD comes again.
After all that I did including my laptop and my laptop fan, the ram and the wireless card, that the problem got
resolved for a day, but again once she returned.
The current scenario is that now wifi disappears it shows connected but frequently shows limited conmection and is practically unusable because every minute I disconnect and reconnect to use it. And this morning, it worked well or a time and again started to do the same things. Sometimes it doesn't find any network and say no networks detected and reconnects automatically after a certain time.
Also today new problem appeared. It freezes and is a hum coming from the speaker for a minute and it starts to work again and he has also restarted once during this freeze moments.
Problems remain in windows 8 and windows 8.1.
Convenience store usually shows problem with wireless adapter or acess point and connect it again, but the next minute the same thing repeats, with limted connection wireless network.
Please if someone can help out me. Thanks in advance.
Hi Aditya,
Thank you for the update.
You should not have to reinstall Windows. However, if SFC displays corrupted files and failed to remedy, I suggest you run the DISM tool and check.
Refer to this article:
Difficulty of Windows Update errors by using the DISM tool / System Update Readiness
https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/947821It allows to correct certain errors of corruption of Windows.
