• Helix Bluetooth does not work

  Hi all, I need help with my new Helix (3698 - 6CG)

  I have been using this machine for almost a month and bluetooth never even appeared in Windows. With all the drivers installed, BIOS updated to the latest version of Bluetooth does not work nor appeared already in the Device Manager.

  Bluetooth is enabled in the BIOS and the Bluetooth service in Windows Services but no change. Deactivation and reactivation in the BIOS (with several reboots) was also without success.

  I tried the official driver from Broadcom, also, but the pilot could not even detect my bluetooth device.

  Recently, I've upgraded to Windows 10 to see if it solves the problem but still no change. I installed the official driver of Lenovo Bluetooth. The installation was quick and successful, but still no bluetooth, after all.

  I think I've tried all the possible solutions, but there is still no Bluetooth in the Windows Device Manager.

  What could possibly do now?

  I transformed my Helix in a partner of Lenovo service and found it was missing the Bluetooth device. The same problem.

  I had an agreement with the reatiler so they will order a corresponding with Lenovo Bluetooth module and install in my Helix free. Problem seems solved :-)

• HP 15r249tu: Bluetooth does not work

  A few days back, I bought an HP 15r249tu laptop. I downloaded the drivers from the hp site to another model that the drivers of my model was not available. While all the other drivers work, but two problems are there.

  1 Bluetooth does not work. My device cannot find other bluetooth devices of neighbor as speakers or mobile phones.

  2. After installing the audio driver, there is a problem with my webcam. It works only when I turn off the sound recording. If the audio recording is turned on, it cannot capture video.

  Please, help me in this two numbers.

  I understand that a few days ago you bought the HP 15r249tu and have installed the drivers for a different model and you encounter a problem with your web camera and Bluetooth.

  Here is a link to HP for laptop - 15-r249tu , who has recommended drivers and software for Windows 7, so I'm unusure why you were unable to locate them. Please install drivers and software there is.  The HP Support Assistant asssit you can acquire these.

  Have you run the troubleshooting tool of Windows for the Webcam and Bluetooth?

  If for some reason you are not in Windows 7, as shown, you can change the operating system as Windows 8 and 10 are also included.

  Here is a link to HP laptop, the touch and PC AiO - Webcam troubleshooting (Windows 7) to help the Webcam.

  They can help you with your Bluetooth problem.  HP Notebook PC - troubleshoot Bluetooth.

  If you are still experiencing a problem with your Bluetooth, try the following steps.

  Step 1. Go to Device Manager
  Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth device" you want
  Step 3. Select "update driver software... »
  Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software".
  Step 5. Choose "Let Me pick from a list of drivers for devices on my computer.
  Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
  Step 7. Select "Microsoft" to the list of "manufacturers".
  Step 8. Finally select "Standard series via a Bluetooth connection.

  If you are unable to connect to a Bluetooth device, try the following:

  Step 1. Search for 'Change device' in the start menu in Windows 8.

  This may seem repeated, but really, I gave up. The bluetooth is simply does not. I downloaded the driver from the HP website and provider of bluetooth (Ralink). All of a sudden, the problem started when the bluetooth icon disappeared from the system tray. Then, in Device Manager it shows Bluetooth only when you select Show hidden devices. Then I uninstall the bluetooth in Device Manager and reboot, install all the files downloaded from the support site of driver HP that I later discovered that I should stick only to the Ralink (Mediatek) because I realized that the seller of bluetooth is the same as the vendor wireless. These procedures does not (I mean does not correct this icon disappeared from the system tray). Finally, I downloaded the driver for bluetooth on Ralink site (which, incidentally, was delicate and not simple). What's happened now, viola, the bluetooth icon came nicely. Among all these, he had restarted, close, wait, open again. In any case, the bluetooth icon is there but it just doesn't work. I checked the Device Manager, no yellow dot on bluetooth and the bluetooth doesn't appear in Device Manager without selecting display devices. I also tried services.msc and auto selection. Now, the net result is that bluetooth does not work. It identifies any device. I checked these devices on another computer and it is OK and works smoothly. It's really annoyeing. I think of buying a bluetooth key to solve it, but I tried an old bluetooth key and it did NOT work (I mean it is identified but not working to find any device bluetooth).   I see that the Bluetooth service does not automatically start your laptop.

  It would be really useful to know which product and the operating system you are using.

  For more information on the search for your model and product numbers, click here: How can I find my model number or product number?
  What version of Windows you are using, click here: Windows operating system am I running?

  You can also try to control services on the laptop to make sure that the Bluetooth Support Service (or bthserv) is configured to start automatically, instead of manual. Start (Trigger) manual will try to detect Bluetooth devices before turning on, to prevent the service from running when it is not needed. This does not always work perfectly so if you use Bluetooth we will set it to automatic instead.

  To change Windows services:

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open the run window.
  2. Type services.msc and click OK to open the Services window.
  3. In the list of services find Bluetooth Support Service (or bthserv).
  4. Right-click on it and choose Properties.
  5. On the general tab set the drop-down list Startup type to Automatic.
  6. Click the log .
  7. Check the circle Local System account .
  8. Click OK to close the window
  9. Reboot and test.

  If it still does not respond, you may need to try automatic (delayed start) to give the system more startup time before searching for Bluetooth devices.
