G60-535DX question

Hello, I have a G60-535DX laptop, and I wonder if I can buy a HP blu ray internal drive to replace my current CD/DVD drive?  He would certainly be able to burn CDs and DVDS, but read only for blu ray drive.  Thanks a bunch for all help!

Yes this is possible. Just check on HP Partsurfer and you should be able to find the CD with Bluray drive for your laptop and you should be able to order and also to install it on your computer.

  • HP G60-535DX Windows 7 Home Premium internal Microphone Inaudible

I have problems with the internal microphone located at the top of the screen on the laptop of HP G60 PC, pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.  All OS, PC drivers and system ROM was updated to the current.

The sound it produces is at best barely audible or usually completely inaudible.  This is true when using the internal Sound Recorder app as well as when I try to use Windows Live and Skype for audio or video calls.  The fact that it has in this way by using Sound Recorder proves that this has nothing to do with firewalls or latency of the internet.  Also, I can hear and see people that I am trying to contact very well.

I first noticed the problem on a system HP G60t that I bought at hpshopping.com in early December 2009, which was a version customized and delivered to me.   I opened a case with assistance and they told me I have to ship it for repairs or I could just return it.  I returned it.

Thinking that I was just unlucky enough get a bad system, then went to Best Buy in late December 2009 and bought a second HP G60, this time above a G60-535DX, which has been configured in the same way.  Guess what?  Exactly the same problem.

I did research on these HP support forums and the comments posted at bestbuy.com for the HP G60.  It seems that a lot of people have the same exact problems.  I tried all of the suggestions I've found, including the following, but nothing changes because of the quality of the microphone on two separate HP G60 books purchased from the point of sale / inventory is extremely poor and essentially non-functional.

    1. ROM and HP drivers update
    2. Updated software Windows
    3. Uninstalled Conexant Pebble high definition SmartAudio driver in the device, and then reinstalled Manager
    4. Battery disconnected and removed, you press power for 60 seconds, winding
    5. Adjust the parameters property of the driver Conexant Pebble high definition SmartAudio, including change the Format by default, exclusive Mode and the Signal accessories settings

Someone at - it any other ideas?

What HP?  If you go to the home page of official support for the HP G60-535DX, the second ranked FAQ is titled "Don't fix no audio or audio in Windows 7", whey discuss the microphone settings.  HP monitor the number of systems having the same problem, recognize a default configuration and put a notice or a reminder?  I know I could return just this system.  But I prefer that it works.

Does anyone have this working properly?  Is it just luck of the draw?  Thanks for any ideas or suggestions, including how empower us HP for resolution.

  • "HP adapter" smart message on laptop G60-535DX. How to stop without having to buy a new adapter?

    Hello

Our G60-535DX laptop recently started a message appear in the notification area of all the few seconds of reading ' for maximum performance, connect an AC adapter smart capacity higher.» For more information click here. »

My wife uses this machine for word-processing and simple web browsing almost exclusively, so power consumption is not a problem for us, it could be for online players, etc. The card we have is map of OEM supplied with the machine, so we are unhappy with the idea that we might have to buy a new adapter, useless just to remove this ad. If there is no other way to solve it, we ask that you provide the new adapter free of charge, since, in this case, you have apparently sold us the adapter incorrectly when we bought this product.

Thank you very much for your help.

    James Quinn

NO OPTIMAL SOLUTION I discovered that if you simply remove the battery while using the computer in AC mode. messages to stop. Apparently, they appear when the computer switches between AC power and battery. It works so, vice versa when running on battery power only.

Alternative WORKAROUND that I was going through all this, I discovered that changing the configuration of the power of "Energy saving" to "HP recommended (Recommended)" messages has stopped. I did however while the battery has been removed, and it is possible that the battery should be outside when you do this.

In ADDITION, our OEM adapter incidentally is 65 watts - people on other forums suggests that anything below 60 watts to be replaced no matter what.  We had connected him to a surge protector very old, which in theory could have been stealing power. We have therefore it directly into the wall. (Do this after that stop messages with different power configuration, so I don't know if this would have worked - but try anyway).

  • HP G60-535DX: recoverymgr.exe

I have a HP laptop G60-535DX, Windows 7.  No, it is NOT under warranty because I've had it for almost 4 years.  A couple of years, I had major problems with it, so I did multiple disks to back up my files.  I don't have to use the disks as I just transferred it all my data from another computer.  Well, this computer disappeared, and the laptop G60 had the CRYPTOWALL virus, which diverted most of my photos.  I remembered the disks, I did and thought that I would be able to recover my files.  All disks have .wim files.  NONE of the discs have the recoverymgr.exe file.

Without the recoverymgr.exe, I can't retrieve the data (photos, etc.) on their part.  I've searched and searched for a download, but have had no luck.  I called HP support and they were NO help.  I kept having to explain that I only need the file recoverymgr.exe; nothing else.  I don't know why, but the "help" did not understand this.

Someone know how I can get this recoverymgr.exe file?  Is there an obscure download for it?  Someone at - it a drive with him that they would be willing to share?  I really want to recover my photos!

Thanks in advance for any help...

I think 7Zip can extract .wim files.

This is the page for crucial.com for your model. Unfortunately, it uses the older DDR2 memory, and 4 concerts looks like $70. The latest DDR3 would be half that.

You can find some great laptops sales after Christmas. The first thing to consider is what screen size you want. I suggest a 15.6 for general use for a laptop that is moved only occasionally. If it would serve only to the House, I would say even a 17 inch since demand for big laptops dropped and are some of the best deals on laptops 17 inches.

For use general, you can't beat one and my guess is that the price is still down after Christmas.

I understand that your display screen flashes especially along the lower part of the screen.  You've had this problem once before and the hard drive needs to be replaced.   You wonder if it could be an overheating problem, your hard drive or graphics.

  • Need to recover the laptop HP G60

Trying to recover a laptop.  I know that the disc is good that I pulled and plugged into a USB device and scanned to get rid of malware that took out the boot sector.

I can start on a Win 7 (from MSDN) installation disc and I can boot to the BIOS menu.  F11 will not launch the Recovery Manager.

None of these options to repair Windows 7 does not detect the installation of the OS that is on the disk.  I can go to the operating system prompt in Win 7 repair and navigate to a directory of recovery under a directory of HP, but it cannot run in this way.

    It is out of warranty.

    Model: G60-535DX

    Series: {removed privacy}

    Product: VM085UA #ABA

OS should be Win 7 Home Premium x 64, but based on the HP support site.  Most likely it is correct information.

Other options to run the Recovery Manager?  It can be downloaded?

    Hello

There is a chance that you may be able to operate using the Windows 7 disc, you have, opening the command prompt and scoring D as Active Partition recovery - if it worked, the laptop boot from the partition when you restart.  Another explanation of this can is indicated under the heading "method 2" on the link below. • Windows COA sticker worn, how can I get Win7 key #?

I have a G60-535DX laptop, hard drive has been replaced and has no recovery Partition. Is there a way to get Windows 7 key # if I have a serial number of the product? The COA sticker is worn, it can not see all the characters. It came with Windows 7 Home Premium.

If you can boot into Windows, the easiest way to retrieve the key is to use a utility calledMagic Jellybean .

If you cannot start Windows, or who have already replaced or reformat your hard drive, then you have four choices.

    (1) use the recovery disk series or usb recovery media that you should have created and put in a safe place.

    (2) buy a HP or an HP partner recovery disk

    (3) purchase of a new facility under license of Windows 7 DVD

    (4) install an operating system open source as a version of Linux

If you are using a serial or usb disk recovery recovery media, you use the activation of license key. The Windows certificate of authenticity is just there to provide proof of legal license and in case an owner has decided to install a non HP Microsoft Windows version.

  • HP YOU ARE FRUSTRATING ME! Windows 7

I got my laptop repaired by a person, and they have installed Windows 7 Ultimate on in after it crashed. Aparently this version of windows is COUNTERFEIT and almost 2 years later I am told that the computer no longer works.

I went online HP Support and drivers and I downloaded the drivers I needed, and as always, there is an option to order the recovery media for your laptop. It is no longer available for my HP G60-535DX laptop. So I called HP - nothing they can do, and they told me to contact Microsoft - nothing they can do, they told me to contact HP.

I'm really frustrated, and I begin to see that Microsoft and HP DO NOT have ANY customer service.

Help, please? I can't read the product key on the bottom of the laptop because it is faded and I just want to get my laptop working again.
