G60T-500 Downgrade to Windows XP

I looked everywhere in these forums and I'm still stuck.

I bought a new notebook G60t-500.  I downgraded it to Windows XP by using the fix for the SATA driver that I found here.

I was able to complete the installation of Windows XP and get the wireless card that is implemented, but that is as far as I can get.

I am unable to get my audio drivers working correctly.

I tried the answer of Daniel_Potyrala, located here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/psg/board/message?board.id=OS&message.id=22064 .

I managed to install the MS - UAA drivers listed above, but I can't get the audio driver to install.

In addition, I have a Pentium Dual Core T4400 2.20 Ghz in the laptop and I can't find the drivers for the chipset for her.  Help on that would be greatly appreciated as well.

I have the following in my device manager under other devices:

Audio device on High Definition Bus Audio

Ethernet controller

Modem on Bus High Definition Audio device

Acquisition of ICP data and Signal Processing controller (I don't know what it is).

SM Bus controller (I don't know what it is either).

Video controller

Video controller (VGA Compatible)

Any help for this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Regan

    Hello

You can buy a license of Windows 7 64-bit.  Buy external DVD media.

You can find the HP Windows 7 64 bit drivers posted here.

This document will instruct you on how to disable the UEFI mode and the mode of inheritance.

As I'm not impressed by Windows 8.1 on my brand new, aged 1 week, Desktop, I would like to know if it is possible to downgrade to Windows 7. My pc would be used mainly as office at home with absolutely no interest in the games. Advice and instructions would be appreciated, although I have been informed that it is a complicated procedure. Is this something that should be done by a pc engineer?

You are right in your assumption that the guarantee may be cancelled.

Overview of Windows 9 is expected at the end of the month and we are all eager to see more of what she's on about.  Leak screenshots and which are not pure speculation as Microsoft kept a tight lid on this version.  It's perhaps the last full blown, with what they come out.  It could very well become a subscription service similar to what they are currently doing with Office 365 updated.  Other software companies seem to go the same route.

As I said in my post, you can save 8 looks like Win 7.  There is a free ebook of Dell, Windows 8 for Dummies, you can download from this site, if you are interested.

  • Laptop HP G60t-500 - cannot find the DVD burner driver

    Hello

I upgraded my laptop G60t-500 for Windows 8.  I had to reinstall some of the drivers in compatibility mode and overall, it works ok (thumping audio does not work, but I get audio with USB speakers) However, I just noticed that the DVD RW drive does not.  In Device Manager, the hp DVDRAM GT20L reports the following error message:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

I was looking on the site of HP support pilot for the original drivers for the DVD RW drive but can't seem to find them.  I found the HP DVD Play software and I was wondering if it needs to be reinstalled.  Or I have to look elsewhere for the device driver?  Or should I uninstall and leave the machine to find the driver.

As a record, when I right click on the device in Device Manager and select "Update driver software", select the option to let the computer find the right driver, he again reports the correct driver is installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Carol

Thank you, Vidya.  I had to reboot and now my machine 'sees' the DVD player and it's working (I tested it using a DVD for playback and serious files).

    Thank you!!

  • Downgrade to Windows 7 preinstalled Wimdows 8

Due to a recent job that requires the use of a software that is not compatible with windows 8, I need to downgrade to windows 7 on my Desktop HP Pavilion 500 - 23w.

I pretty much just the basics when it comes to be computer savvy so I need help on how to move to windows 7.

    Thanks in advance

    You are the very welcome.

You have a choice of two.

You can not legally install an operating system upgrade to windows 7 on your PC because to do this, your PC needs to come with Windows Vista or Windows XP.

You leave with two options and you can decide what is best for you.

First to be aware that the software, you need to perform can run on a 64-bit operating system no matter what version of Windows you have or want, like find 32-bit for your PC drivers will be very difficult to do.

If you know that the software will run on W7 x 64 then here is your legal options:

    1. the cheapest is to install the OEM Version of Windows 7 Home Premium.

The disadvantage of this option is that it will be the single PC you can still install the OEM version on.  The key works only once and is not transferable to another PC.

    2. the other option is to purchase the full retail version of Windows 7 Home Premium. This will allow you to transfer the license to PC unique (one at a time, of course) that you need.

The disadvantage of this option is that this software is double the cost of OEM software.

    Link to the OEM software:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16832116986

Link to software to the retail (right now, it's on sale for $20 less than normal).

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16832116716

Do the tour... maybe you can find a better offer, but make sure you get a genuine subject descriptions I was talking about earlier.

  • Downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows XP Professional?

I have a question - is there anyone who knows if downgrande (double) is possible as the subject? I heard it's true, but is there anyone who has done it and is sure that it is legal and possible?

    Hi Anj,

  • 14 - d056tu laptop HP: Downgrade to Windows 7

I bought HP 14-d056tu Notebook PC a few months back, I'm not comfortable with windows 8.1, so I want it downgrade to Windows 7. The more sad about this is, I bought this laptop based Thailand on a site online in India and now moved to Australia. can anyone help me please with the decommissioning process.

    Hi Vishal,

I would like to start by saying Downgrade to Windows 7 would not be a good option, because once you switch to Windows 7, find the drivers for Windows 7 will be a huge and difficult task as this laptop goes with 8.1 Windows only.

And Windows 8.1 is a very good and secure OS. To remedy this I suggest you to install software that will host the feel of Windows 7.

See the link below to install classic Shell software:

    the classic interface software

Note: It is a third-party site so if your not comfortable using or by downloading the software from this site, then please do not continue.

  • Satellite C850D - Downgrade from Windows 8

I have a Satellite C850D, which was shipped with Windows 8. I want this downgrade to Windows 7. I have a Windows 7 DVD, but when I try and install it I get is an error message indicating that there is an error with one of the startup files.

Is it possible to install Windows 7 on a computer that came with Windows 8, and how to remove the OEM of Windows 8 version and replace it with Windows 7.

    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

    Sean

    Hi Sean

Yes, it is possible to install Windows 7 and other systems. But this requires some changes in the BIOS.
You must disable secure boot and go the CSM UEFI.
As far as I know after changing two options, you should be able to boot from the Windows disc.

  • I can't use the Wi - Fi after downgrading my windows!

Hello, I'm Loh. Today, I have a problem on my computer laptop that is why I would like to ask you this question.

I bought the new laptop HP, which is 'HP Pavilion 15-p031tx Notebook PC Drivers' and at first by default, Windows 8.1 was unique language, which was not enabled, in my laptop. Then I want to use the functionality of windows 8, I downgraded to windows 8 pro with the spark of dream. After that, I realized that I can't connect to the internet and I saw computer manager, there is no network drivers in my laptop!

So now I would like to download the driver for windows 8 pro wifi adapter. But I could not find where and how. I need your help as soon as possible.

The controller material properties in my laptop network ID are

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C & REV_01

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & SUBSYS_2230103C

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_028000

    PCI\VEN_14E4 & DEV_4365 & CC_0280

    You are the very welcome.

If you have a Broadcom wireless card then you will need to use the wireless Broadcom for W8.1 driver

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-136550-1 & CC = US & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 4158 & Product = 7169861 & sw_lang =

Not sure why it does not work. I don't think it matters if you run W8.1 or W8.1 Pro on your machine.

    The drivers are the same.

  • Downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows Vista

    Hello

I want to ask something about the downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows Vista Edition Home Premium!

My laptop is Satellite L510. When I bought it, it came with Windows Vista Home Premium as its OS so I already created a recovery disk.
Now, if I update to Windows 7 and if I want to downgrade to window Vista... often I just use this recovery disc to format to Windows Vista everything as before?

Because they do not have the Windows Vista installation disk when I bought this laptop.
And I want to ask now the window Vista already got a healthy recovery partition in my right HDdrive? If I update to Windows 7 then did the Window Vista healthy recovery partition is still there, or only the restore disc that I create before you reformat Windows Vista Home Premium box?

Thanks to all who try to answer my question!

All new laptops are shipped without DVD upgraders and everyone must create one. This is why Toshiba has designed small Creator called Toshiba Recovery tool. With this tool you can create recovery DVDs and use them for the installation of the OS more far.

Whenever when you use, you'll have to factory settings and it will be like on the first day when launch you for the first time.

When you have this recovery media, you can do whatever you want and, of course, install Win7 with HARD drive. One day, when you want to have Vista again just use created recovery DVD and you will have factory again.

When you bought your laptop recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder called HDDRecovery. This image can be used to install Vista with the factory only settings. When you install Win7 these files can no longer be used and Vista must be installed from recovery created DVDs.

  • Downgrade to Windows 7

Hi, I'm James.  I want to downgrade to Windows 7.  I have Windows 8.1 and I hate it.  I have a HP Pavilion 2297nr g7.  I bought refurbished on Ebay and it came to me with Windows 7.  I upgraded to Windows 8 and was sorry I did.  I would like to know how can I downgrade to Windows 7 and also get the right drivers.  Can someone help me?

    Hello:

First of all, read this document for the BIOS settings change so that you can install and continue running W7.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03736054

After you have installed windows 7 x 64, the first pilot, you need to install is the amd chipset drivers.

You want the first driver on the Web page. To install the smbus and usb 3 controllers.

    http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows%207%20-%2064

Then, all the W7 x 64 drivers and the software of this model will work also on your own, except the wireless driver.

DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE OF THIS MODEL

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4063 & LC = on & CC = US & DLC = in & sw_lang = & Product = 5275619

Use this driver for the wireless card...

  • Must regularly restart the DHCP Client - HP Pavilion 500-205 DT - Windows 7

    HP Pavilion 500-205 DT - Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit SP1

Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller - pilot 7.67.1226.2012

Bought 3 identical machines for our daycare. Set up the same. All work fine except ONE of them becomes inaccessible periodically (every day more or less) on other computers on our small LAN-to-peer Windows. You can see, but cannot access any shared folder. To access OTHER computers on the local network of it there is NO problem. All 3 machines have the same profile sharing, workgroup, permissions, AV, firewall, all settings. I realized by restarting the computer solved the problem immediately but temporarily. I reduced to restart the DHCP Client service. Do all works well immediately, but temporarily.

    I tried the things:

Call support HP - not useful at all. It is under warranty.

    IPv6 disabled

    Disabled wireless

Disabled network card stopcock energy saving

Definition of recovery CLIENT DHCP on:

First failure = restarting the Service

Second failure = restarting the Service

Subsequent failures = restarting the Service

Reset Fail Count after = 120

Restart the Service after = 0

But again, this is not the case for other machines with the default settings. Nothing works except the Client DHCP service is restarted. Loss of access occurs with or without someone connected or using it. It has happened since its first establishment.

I don't know if the HP warranty covers the OS loaded at the factory. I don't want to restore the thing and start over. I'm not a Pro, just the guy in the office who did these things, but it seems that the network card may be faulty. I don't know if I can convince a person of first level support phone to have me bring the machine in an approved place.

    Any help greatly appreciated,

    Larry
