G7-2202 touchpad power

new touchpad Pavilion g7-2202us cannot be enabled or disabled - I have tried the button at the top left and nothing happens

I tried your instructions and it removed my touchpad and installed a mouse.   I was preparing to take in service of him have reinstalled, but then he ran an update when I went to turn the computer off a few days ago.  Lucky me when I turned it on the clickpad was there and he goes now on and outside and you can even resize items to help her also.  If something worked but I've never worked with before windows 7, and it's all new to me.  It must come with a depth tutorial on how to work everything for us not so smart people!   Thanks again for your help

  • Satellite A110: keyboard, touchpad, power problems

I have a Toshiba Satellite A110, purchased a few months before. In recent weeks, it started randomly locking the keyboard and the touchpad (with or without external mouse plugged - although an external mouse still works).

Now there is power to the top of the issues, with the suspended system Bios Toshiba screen, can fully initialize maybe once in five.
Acquisition of wireless network is also very temperamental. I tried this software I can think (new drivers/virus scan/uninstall-reinstall), with the exception of a reinstall full backup disk Toshiba.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

I think we should first find out if the problem is software or hardware related.
In this case the installation of the operating system with the Toshiba Recovery CD is recommended.
After installation, the laptop should work without worries.

But if the unit will hang and not start properly there could be something wrong with the hardware.
I think that your warranty is valid and in this case you should always contact the ASP in your county for a check.

  • Synaptic touchpad power function does not

    System information:

    1 HP Probook 4530 s B0X66EA #ACB

    2. Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    3.  -

    4. I got Win7 Ultimate 32 bit everything worked perfectly, so I tried to install win8 pro who did not, and then I installed my OS currently.

5 strange is that I have synaptic driver and it works well, but the led does not work and when I double tap on the touchpad of corner is still and nothing happens!

    Hello

First, download the latest installer driver Synaptics, on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=0&prodSeriesId=5060880&prodNameId=5060882&swEnvOID=4059&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-104738-1

Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  • How * disable * the touchpad power function?

Hi, I have a craving dv7 and it has a function whereby if you press twice on the left upper corner of the touchpad, it switches it on or off.

I want to DISABLE this feature, because I'm constantly tripping by accident in the normal conditions of use and so am always disable the touchpad and have to tap twice again to reactivate.

I looked online and the documentation but have found no way to disable this feature.  Does anyone know how?

    THX,

    Chris

FYI, I contacted HP Support and they sent me the following, which tells how do.

If it please click on the links below and follow the steps mentioned in the Web page under the section adjust single and double tapping.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03523373

Unlike in the image settings window the touchpad in the link above, the settings window of the touchpad on the dv7 want is not an expandable tree for tapping settings, but it has an icon of the gear to the right that if clicked, opens another window of dialogue that has a checkbox to enable/disable this feature.

  • Satellite S50T - How to get rid of the light on the touchpad?

    Hello
On the topleft of the touchpad light has recently come - I must have hit a button by mistake. I can't find a way to turn it off.

It's annoying and it also seems to stop the touchpad to work.

    Thank you very much.

    Newbie

Toshiba Satellite model S50t-A fitted Win8, linking 8.1 win upgrade.

I assume that you write on the touchpad power witness. It turns white when the touchpad is disabled.
Double tab on this indicator will allow new touchpad and small light turns off.

    Check it out.

  • Error 0 x 0 standby power on my Satellite Pro A300-1dz

    Hi all

I managed to install Windows XP Home edition on my pro A300. and I put a lot of pilots needed back on the system ect, but I have a problem with powersaver one can't seem to make it work properly, I just get an error a bit like the one on this page, if it works: http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/Toshiba-Power-Saver-Problems-t87338.html

The small window with error 0x0.
I read somewhere that I need the common modules installed before installing all the drivers of tosh, (I don't have a tosh boot CD)

I installed my wxp cd, that I bought off ebay, that windows has been altered by the virus and downloaded all the drivers from this site, so my computer is running fine, better even, but the night before does not work.
    How can I change this?
Can I download the offline installation cd, not questionable torrent site, or is it on this site somewhere under my nose.

    Thank you, I'm moving.

    Jeff

    Hello

First you must install the common Modules before installing other Toshiba tools or drivers. The common Modules are required to make the other Toshiba programs work correctly.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what error message you get exactly Toshiba Power Saver. You can add this information please?

In your case, I would like to uninstall Toshiba Power Saver. Then install the common Modules First, then other tools of Toshiba.
After you install Windows XP on my laptop, I used the following installation for Toshiba tools order but noted that all pilots as screen, sound, etc. should be installed first:
    Windows XP SP3
    All the drivers
    TOSHIBA common modules
    TOSHIBA Hotkey Utility
    TOSHIBA Touchpad POWER
    TOSHIBA utilities
    TOSHIBA Power Saver
    TOSHIBA Assist

The Toshiba recovery disc can t be downloaded. As far as I know this laptop is normally delivered with Windows Vista and this is why you must create a recovery disc yourself that you can read in the user's manual.
But now it s too late and you have new disc order from Toshiba direct.

  • Satellite C855 - 1 HM-Touchpad does not work

    Hello

My touchpad does not work! indications are he should be, pilot the newest, toggle F5 etc. Any ideas as to what may be wrong welcome. Machine is also only a few weeks, how do you contact technical support?

    Thank you

    Hello

You can contact the Toshiba authorized service partner in your country, your hardware is defective.
But you should first check if its hardware problem.

First of all, you should check if the touchpad (pointing device) is enabled in the BIOS
Press F2 during the powering of the device and go to the Advanced tab-> the system setup
You will find the touchpad power option.

If the touchpad is enabled in the BIOS, I recommend to check the touchpad system settings: Control Panel-> mouse-> last (Advanced) tab-> Advanced button

Last but not least you should recover the laptop to test the device with factory settings.
If all these tips would not be successful success, well, then I recommend to ask the guy to service

  • Satellite Pro A200 - 1 MI: how to re-enable the touchpad

    Hello

I recently bought a new Satellite Pro A200 - 1 MI (psae7e). Thing is that while I was using it at the start there was this allocation at the beginning which allowed us to use the shortcut keyboard (fn + keys) on the screen.
It was at the top of the screen.

So I clicked on the tab to disable my touchpad but now I can't seem to activate the touchpad and accidentally closed this keyboard shortcut help too.

So all tried to re-enable the touchpad; reinstalled driver, tried to install the touchpad power and everything...

    Please help me.
If there are questions to ask...
I really hope that someone could find an answer for me.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sabil

    Hello Sabil

You can restart Flash cards: start > all programs > Toshiba > utilities > settings for Flash cards. Open these settings and clear the check box in front of the option to disable.
I hope that you will be able to use Flash cards again.

  • Re: Satellite L655 - the Touchpad on/off button does not work

This morning, I noticed that the power button of the touchpad of my Satellite does not, although the Fn + F9 key combination works by enabling and disabling my touchpad.

It was working well until what I slept last night when I woke up, my laptop has rebooted due to updates of Windows during the night. I don't read anything since I have been using a wireless mouse. Then reach work and check if I can activate my touchpad (Windows has loaded and connected), the display screen that shows if the touchpad is active or not does not appear and my touchpad, power button does not work.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Is this problem only you?
I mean it's not so important, and I would not reinstall or change anything because of this.
Until you can use the FN + F9 key combination I put t think it's a serious problem.

What do you think of this?

  • Satellite L750D - issue strange keyboard/touchpad

Hi guys, I'm new here and I hope you can help me.

    I have a Satellite L750D here who has a strange keyboard/touchpad issue.

Recently, my screen was replaced and I toke the possibility of replacing the DD by a SDS.

I used the OS restore cd that I created from the partition recovery and completely reinstalled Windows 7 64 - Bit ones.

Everything seemed to work well after the last restart.

Then my after reboot, the keyboard was not working and or the touchpad.
I tried to restart / stop and start again, no change.

I plugged a USB keyboard and mouse, both work perfectly.

I reinstalled the drivers of touchpad on Toshiba site, still no change.

Then, I closed the lid and leave Notepad go into sleepmode/setting standby extended and found that when I opened the lid/screen, the keyboard was working again, but not the touchpad.

Fn + F9 made no difference.

I then pressed the button above the touchpad, but the touchpad remained dead. But after pressing this button, the keyboard went dead too!
The key for the touchpad power made no difference, the keyboard or the touchpad remained dead.

Given zero made no difference either.

Throw the drivers in safe mode led the pilots to be reinstalled, but both keyboard and the touchpad remained dead.

The only thing to bring back the keyboard is the cover and goes sleepmode/setting to Hibernate and wake up to the laptop.

But press the button above the keyboard and the touchpad is dead again.

Started from a Windows 7-LIVE CD, both keyboard and the touchpad remained dead.
Started from a live CD of Ubuntu Linux, keyboard works, no mather, you press the button for the touchpad, but the touchpad
    died.

Is there anything else I can try, or what I have to assume there's something defect requiring hardware repair/replacement?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Kind regards
    Jan

I plugged a USB keyboard and mouse, both work perfectly.

It's really strange... from my point of view of the rare, the mouse and external keyboard works properly, then the controller should be OK, and this means that the anomaly must be linked to the defective keyboard / touchpad.

But on the other hand, you said that the keyboard works correctly starting Linux Live CD.
For me, it makes no sense and I'm confused...

Anyway, given that the laptop has been disassembled to replace the screen and other parties, I think that something went wrong during this process and probably a part has been affected...

In my opinion, it is advisable to replace the keyboard and to check if it will fix the problem.

  • Qosmio X 300 - touchpad and mouse do not work

After that I was recently reinstall antivirus, something was wrong here and at some point cursor stopped on the screen without moving. Touchpad or mouse worked. I tried to restart the laptop several times... but the result was the same - keyboard worked, but the touchpad and mouse not. Although I'm not an expert in using only the keyboard I managed to open the control panel-> devices (where I can see the marks of attention in front of pointing device (I guess that its touchpad) and mouse.)

The problem is that the keyboard works I don't know how pointer on them to restart drivers for them or something like that. The problem may seem stupid, but I really beg for help or advice because I am currently overseas and can not bring my laptop to any service.

    Hello

I recommend the touchpad power feature.
You can enable and disable the touchpad by pressing FN + F9

    Does the touchpad?

It would also be possible that your system is confused until so you can try to put the OS up to this early time.

Click on start-> all programs-> Accessories-> system-> system restore tools

Then you should be able to restore the operating system

  • A few questions on Satellite P750-02

New on the support forums, do not know how to post my system chart etc so sorry if I break all its propriety. I have a Satellite P750-02, and so far he gave me a number of questions. I am running windows 7 x 64.

    (1) on the first day, the desktop gadgets did not work. There is no sidebar that I had seen on other computers, and when I put the gadget, a second copy appears that does not move, or can be clicked. I am not able to change the settings on any gadget either.

    (2) recently I installed some updates via windows update. I was also playing with auslogics boostspeed (an optimizer pc of sorts) so I do not know who caused it. Anyway what happened was the buttons mute / without wire/play/pause and the button that enables / disables the touchpad have been disabled (physical buttons on the laptop, not the screen).

I was able to activate the touchpad power before I connect to the computer and can also toggle with the FN key. However, when I open the Toshiba Button support, all fields are empty. I click on ' default values and I get a message "the specified button registration information has been deleted.". ". I think that this may be the root of the problem.

I tried to use things like the system recovery and my some of the restore points, but this did not help. I tried to install all the latest drivers as well.

    (3) the webcam is aaaatrocious! I have looked everywhere only to find suggestions like 'remove the plastic', 'contrast adjustment' etc. It is much too dark and lack many settings that I thought were standard. Y at - it a patch or an update that resolves this problem of brightness? I saw the other much better webcams under the same conditions. I used to have a usb webcam, I got from aldi for $20, which had many more features and gave a clearer than this webcam image.

Again, sorry if I write this review wrong, but useful at all would be much appreciated!

The FN keys are controlled by the Flash Card Support utility you will need to restart this software which is in
All programs-> Toshiba-> Flash memory card Support utility

As far as I know the internal webcam supports Pixcel (1280 x 1024) of 1.3 M resolution and needs a clear and bright lighting. The goal of these internal cams is much smaller than the lens of outdoor cams (even if you buy a webcam 20).

The smallest lens can not detect the same amount of light as a camera with lens more you can see the webcam with cams smartphone behavior even if the webcam would support high resolution (5 M pixels and higher), the goal would be not possible to produce a good image because of the small lens.

  • Satellite Pro L300 some FN keys do not work on XP

I bought a L300-164 on Monday. However, there is no preinstalled opsys. I installed a Win XPSP2 (HUN) on it and downloaded the drivers from www.toshiba-europe.com.

First I have installed chipset and video drivers, then I installed "common Modules". After you finished and restart I tried to install 'orders', but who says "common modules" are not installed.

So I installed 'save energy' and tried to install it once more the 'controls '. Now, it has been installed normally. Finally, I put on "hotkey utility" and "touchpad utility power. So everything seems to be all right on the machine, but a few FN keys do not work: F6 and F7 doesn't control brightness, F2 is not change power mode and F9 switch touchpad power (of course in a hurry with the FN). However, volume knob works, ESC as the work of mute and Fx buttons also work elsewhere.

Y at - it ideas to make these buttons work?

Sat L300-164 seems to belong to the PSLBDE series, and you must download and use the drivers from the Toshiba European designed for the series Sat L300 PSLBDE page.

Is the common Modules is a key driver that is important for the functionality of the FN button.

I would recommend so reinstall the common modules again!

    Welcome them
