GabGruesome someone heard a Gab.Gruesome.dll module?

When you start windows 7 it says GabGruesome.dll works not.  Anyone know what is GabGruesome?  MacAfee say it's a risky file and I removed it, now I get the message "there was a problem starting GabGruesome.dll.  The specified module could not be found"I need ideas on how I remove all of the computer or is it a file.  I did research on the internet for GabGruesome, but nothing has so not idea what kind of file/module is?  A big thank you Kate

The general answer to your question begins under the line of * below.  In your case, you know that you have deleted the file.  I always ran at least MalwareBytes AntiMalware (is there no need to get the Premium version)

***********************************************

Looking for errors like this by doing a search on Google for the name of the file.  Usually, they turn up without success.

When a search in no hits or suspicious hits result, the answer is usually that the file in question is linked to the malicious software and your anti-malware application has deleted or quarantined file, but left to the Windows registry entry that tries to start the malicious software when you start your computer.

First of all, download, install, update and run full scans with two of these free analytical tools:

MalwareBytes AntiMalware
SUPERAntiSpyware

Do not run the scans at the same time.  They can take some time, so start an and then go for a non computer chore for awhile.

If the scans does not solve the problem (and they can't, because the actual malware file has already been processed), then download and run Autoruns.

Click on the "Connection" tab and look in the column 'Image path' for the dll named in your error message.  If it is not displayed in the connection tab, click the "all" tab and use the file > search tool.  A characteristic of the search of Autoruns tool is that you must move the selection under the element line "found" before you "Find Next."

Once you find the line with the file in question, either "delete" or (if you want to be safer) uncheck the box.  The latter prevents the line running, but you can reactivate later by replacing the box.

Why not? Maybe it's the best solution for you. After doing this, you will have 100% clean the BONES?

You have the original recovery disk or original Microsoft disc for installation of the OS? What is the problem?

  • Path of the dll module

    Hi Ppl

Is there an API TestStand to get the paths of a step of type adapter DLL module. I was referring with teststand in the following link. But I was not able to locate the correct property. Similarly, I also want to get the paths of ActiveX module, type adapter Dot Net measures. I had managed to get only the LabVIEW VI paths by using LabVIEWModule.VIPath.

    Thank you

The path of the module is a hidden property, searching without enabling 'Show hidden properties' in the Options of the Station will make it a little difficult.

Each stage has a hidden container, called TS where step-specific data is stored. The search string, that you are looking for is:

    CVI, and C/C++ adapter: Step.TS.SData.Call.LibPath

    For adapter .NET: Step.TS.SData.Call.AssemblyPath

    hope this helps,

  • My computer shows several instances of xpsp2res.dll module in System 32.

My computer shows several instances of xpsp2res.dll module in System 32.  I found them using Norton Systemworks process Viewer.  They look identical.  Is it a kind of duplication should I eliminate?

I think that the Microsoft Support Engineer gives you just a bunch of things to try that neither explain the 'problem' or won't help you at all.

Depending on your installation, you can have several copies of xpsp2res.dll on your system and you should have one in your system32 folder, in the dllcache folder and perhaps many others (I'm 27) in the folder system32 on various issues under the MUI folder and different down there.  You can't have two files with the same name in the system32 folder.

The MUI folder means "MUI" and the file contains messages XP and icons and files contain specific language XP messages.

If you use the built in Windows search, you'll probably find a lot.  Each of them a click right, choose Properties and look at the Version and then the language.  If you are configured for English, the one in system32 should say English and others in the various MUI files will show another language in the properties/language (German, Russian, etc.).

You will also find that you can have dozens of file xpsp1res.dll (for Service Pack 1) and dozens of files for the Service Pack 3 xpsp3res.dll, you can even have a xpsp4res.dll file in your system32 folder (even if there is no SP4 yet).

Depends on your installation, which we know nothing since MS Answers is no problem for any information system when a new question is asked.

I really don't see how Microsoft Support engineer 'tips' to run Disk Cleanup or the Microsoft Safety Scanner will help you at all.  It isn't even a good guess, but it has links to the KB articles.

If you think that your system may be compromised by malicious software, I could do this:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

Unless your spelling is an error that a file is not legitimate. Download scanners on the links below and perform comprehensive analyses with each. Make sure that you update Malwarebytes before analysis. It won't be necessary for SuperAntiSpyware.

I ran a Norton 360 and it deleted adware.adpopup and now I get the message, there was a problem starting c:\users\carl\appdata\local\total form\bin\totalform.dll the specified module could not be found at boot.

I ran two cleaners registry (REgistry First Aid and SmartPCFix) but this has not fixed the problem.  No idea where the system is looking for this dll so I can get rid of him?

    Hello

    You are welcome!

I checked your journal and found the problem. Norton deleted some unwanted/malicious file, but did not remove the entry totalform in the WIndows Task Scheduler. Once remove you it, it stops with annoying messages.

Please open Autoruns and wait for the analysis short finish.

Once ready, scroll down to "Task Scheduler."

You will find an entry (probably highlighted in yellow) regarding

    "\Total form" "file not found: C:\Users\Carl\AppData\Local\Total Form\Bin\TotalForm.dll.

Right click on this yellow line and choose Delete. Confirm if necessary.

    Close the Autoruns

Make sure that you can see the hidden files and folders. Operating instructions here:
