Game and the system hangs during the update of software occurs prompt

When you play many I experience a complete system failure after a game for a variable period.  I suspect that the problem might relate to the next available software updates and a quick occurring asking if I want to load/install the update.  I think that my PC is set to interrupt the game, when occurs a such prompt and I suspect that some games cannot manage this interruption and cause the crash.  Problem is that I can not find where swith this parameter to stop or INTERRUPT a game session when an update is available.  Update from Dell Support Center are an example of these software updates.  Any comments on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks - Kevin

Yes - you probably aren't going to find any setting specifically says: "I play a game, let me alone.»

I've been a player for 20 years and did not have the updates stop playing once (and some of them were worthy of the experiences of game marathon. 'ha').  Of course - about my gaming PC I always put updates to the manual because I know if I leave auto on (at least) most of the time Windows updates, it could decide to update and restart at any time (without some other parameters).

What I mean is that I think that looking in the right place, for the most part, to solve the problem you are experiencing.  Please follow the advice and at least update your video drivers (which is one of the largest components of the more modern games) and you can make the audio card motherboard chipset drivers while you're there.

"Dell" stuff - it is not necessary.  Really.

    Heys guys.

While using the battery just fine, except some crashes after a long period of palying. Some time, he said (the display driver not responding) & sometimes the screen black or white. The only way to recover the laptop is ALT + CTRL + DELETE and wait until the game to recover & cases laptop stop responding & the only way is to hard reboot.

The only one that works such fine bit is Battlefield Bad Company 2. Then I change the DirectX (setting.ini) of car in DirectX9.

SP please any help on this matter. I think it's a video driver or a Windows 7 problem. And the specifications are:

Processor: Inter Core 2 Due P7450 2.13 GHz
    RAM: 4 GB DDR3
VGA: Nvidia Geforce G210M with the driver from the Toshiba Site has also tested the latest driver from Nvidia Site Version: 258.96
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit [pre-installed]

I think that its not big problem for Toshiba co.  :)

    Hi mate

I think that it is a nuisance driver in most cases not entirely compatible graphics cards drivers are the reason why games dishes t working correctly.

What to say; I think that the update of the driver is the key
You will need to find a good driver version
Toshiba pilot European page you can find the latest drivers published by Toshiba
But this does not mean that these are the most recent drivers released by nVidia or ATI
nVidia or ATI drivers are always different

In order to check the drivers from nVidia page too.
You can also try the version published on the Web site www.omegadrivers.net or www.laptopvideo2go.com
But note; These are not tested drivers and use is at your own risk!

  • Latest Windows patches and the update wiped out my files and folders

The last update of Windows that just happened on the 9th took all my original settings. My computer restarted and looked as if it was fresh from the factory. My files, folders, shortcuts, etc., all have disappeared. I found a restore point for the 07/02/11, which brought my pc to almost 'normal' but now I'm wondering if, when my computer tries to download all the MS updates new - will happen all over again. I have Genuine Windows 7-64 bit.

  • wireless lan driver installation update always fail and the update corrupted my wireless driver I use Samsung series 5

Updates were recently fired the SW update. I have installed all the other updates the BIOS etc successfully, with the exception of the wireless Lan driver. Instead of doing an update, it has disabled my wireless totally when he said that the installation has failed.

During my first attempt, I downloaded the driver 100%. Then a pop up message appeared saying that "the installation may take several minutes", and then another Intel logo appears and disappears, but said later that he could not install. After that, I get disconnected from my internet connection. No sign of wireless activity were found. I tried to watch the wireless icon and it was gone. I tried to solve the problem and it says that the only device for my wireless connection is Bluetooth.

I thought it was just the problem of internet connectivity, so I tried to download the next day, but this time while being connected to a local network. The same thing happened to downloaded 100% and does not once again during installation. I just want you to know that I closed all applications and my laptop plugged in during installation if it helps your troubleshooting. I asked SAMSUNG support and they told me that the problem is with Microsoft, so I should ask them.

I tried to update for like 5 or more times, but it's the same thing. I use my laptop for work and it's like I can't live without my wireless LAN are not always available. Download of the update becomes tedious because I have to wait like half an hour to finish the download only to find out that the installation will fail. I searched his driver I can install it manually but its nowhere to be found, looks like I'm stuck with SW update

    Hi Saloni,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

    http://www.Samsung.com/AE/support/model/NP500P4C-S08AE

    Step 2:

Uninstall the driver for Wireless LAN / network card.

Follow the steps to uninstall the network adapter driver:

    a. press Windows + X keys, and then click Device Manager.

    b. search for network card.

    c. right-click the WLAN network adapter , and then click Uninstall.

    d. follow the command prompt, and then restart the computer.

    Step 3:

Install the network card driver / wireless that you downloaded from the website of the manufacturer of the computer/hardware.

    Hi joeh.

This thread seems to be the same question for Windows 7 and the troubleshooting steps should also apply to Windows Vista:
    I hope this helps.
  • How can I display a shared document and the updated reliably.

We are currently using Excel with "share workbook" enabled to view a document on several bulletin boards. However the "update changes" setting for automatic every 5 minutes just doesn't seem to work reliably. It seems worse now since we have updated for Windows 7 and Office 2013. All workstations share the document on bulletin boards are on our network.

Let's try the parameter "update changes" to "when the file is saved", but I don't have much faith it will work more. But let's give it a try.

Does anyone know of an application, we can use to replace this current set upwards or know what settings might help with the functionality of file sharing?

Links should update automatically.  When you type in a box on a single computer, your other computer (if it's the web browser opens on the same page) should show these letters are typed instantly.  And that's just fine if you use the same username on both computers.

As for who he control shows on, you can just take your browser tab and then drag on the next screen, or even pass the browser full screen (F11 key), so it is just a spreadsheet in full screen.
