Get blocks of lines on my screen

Lines of the form

I'm getting blocks of vertical and horizontal lines on my screen. I replaced the cable vga & monitor.  I run Vista Ultimate. What do you suggest me then?

Hello

These lines indicate corruption graphics driver or lack of graphic material.

Monitor > cable > Port > that is either connected to a graphics card in a slot on the motherboard or integrated graphics hardware that is part of the motherboard.

As you traded him cable and monitor you should now go to the website of your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card > Search a drivers and download article > search your computer or your graphics card model number > your operating system > drivers for it: either video / graphic / Chipset (according to the wording it) > download and install the drivers.

If that fixed it, it seems to me be a problem of graphic material.

If a desktop computer, or share your graphics card with a good.

Or, if graphics card built-in, you will need to install a graphics card in a slot of the motherboard to see if this solves the problem.

When a laptop; If under warranty, contact the manufacturer.

If it is not under warranty, contact a repair shop, local.

See you soon.

  • Button to block multi line

Guys, I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a block record multi that shows about 10 lines on the screen of the user, I also added a button to this disc multi block so there are 10 buttons, each button next to the corresponding line. When I click the button, it processes the data of the current line and gives a result, however it doesn't seem to work like that. If I asked back and have 10 records displayed on the screen and then click on the button 5 down which must process the data for the 5th record down there actually processes the data for the first record where the cursor is currently located after the first request. Is there anyway that I can get the cursor to go into the folder that corresponds to the key? IE if I manually click a folder and then the buttons it treats all document the cursor, but I want it to automatically go to the record corresponding to the button when the button is pressed?

Thanks for any help I receive.

  • Satellite M70-339 vertical lines on the screen

    Hello...

I have a Satellite M70-339, which will show only the vertical lines on the screen.
I connected an external monitor and booted in safe mode.
    I uninstalled the display drivers.
I started to monitor and reinstalled the display drivers.
The computer will now boot up screen.

I put the display to indicate to both monitor and screen.

    On the monitor, all right.
On the screen, I get vertical lines color, similar to a wallpaper (wallpaper is not pretty).

Did anyone has got any ideas what could be the problem, or how to diagnose the problem
    Any help would be appreciated.

    John C

If everything is OK on the external monitor that is the best evidence that this problem is related to the internal LCD. Display must be exchanged.

  • Re: Equium M50-216 - lines across the screen

Hi my Equium M50-216 has lines across the screen and low who go up and down the screen.
There is no picture it s just white.

If I plug it into an external monitor I get a fine display on the monitor is so the screen is defective or something else?
I think that the inverter is ok because it of bright and not dull.

    See you soon

    I agree with Luke.

If the image on the external monitor is ok then the graphics card should be ok.
If an FL inverter would be defective then everything would be visible, but just a little more dark and as behind a fog

In your case, it looks like a display problem

I think you should ask a technician for replacement laptop

  • Qosmio G30 - white lines on the screen and BSOD

    1. I have a Qosmio G30
2 operating system Windows XP MCE
and I have problem "white lines on the screen ' when windows start to load after that I got the"blue screen of death"and restart the computer.
I try to get back, but unfortunately came with the laptop recovery CD doesn't seem to work...

Whenever I finished to recover I have "windows loading files" and once this is done, it shows me the so-called "blue screen of death"...

    Hello

I m afraid. I have bad news for you ;(
I think you ve you have a problem with the hardware in my eyes, there might be something wrong with the GPU chip.
The white lines on the screen could be related to a faulty graphics card and get the BSOD error due to a hardware malfunction or software serious questions

I m sure that the recovery CD does not contain software problems and therefore only the fault of hardware could be the reason for the lines on the screen and the BSOD.

In my opinion, you should contact the ASP in your country for assistance if all goes well you guarantee is valid.

    Good luck

  • Satellite Pro A210 - repeat vertical lines on the screen

I hope someone can help me.

I am a teacher and was bought by my school a Toshiba Satellite Pro A210 for me to do my school work and connect to a SMART board to teach with. Throughout its probably one of the best laptops I got through school. I got it two months.

There is only one problem with it. Its developed a rather weird problem. Occasionally, the screen suddenly freezes, and the display will be replaced by thin, alternating vertical black and white lines. The only way to get rid of them is to turn off the laptop and restart it (particularly annoying when it happened in the middle of a lesson when I've been respected by an OFSTEd Inspector!)

Technician computer school has no idea what is the cause. I was wondering if someone here might have some advice.

    Thanks in advance.

I ve the same laptop but I didn t receive similar lines on the screen.
What you could do is update the BIOS and the driver (if possible) display.

If the same problem happens again, you must connect an external monitor to the laptop.

Then check if the same lines appears on the external display. If so, then a problem of graphics card might be possible!

  • Equium M40X: red lines on the screen

I seem to be getting red lines on my screen (from top to bottom) that I have spend my mouse.any idea what is wrong. That is to say what is the screen or something else.
However, I connected to a monitor and had the same problem so assume that my fine screen.

Maybe my graphic.and so yes anyone with a solution or do I have to disassemble everything this...

    Thank you

I agree with Richard. There's probably graphics card failure. If the same behavior occurs during the starting procedure, the graphics card must be exchanged. I mean the motherboard together. ;(

  • Blue vertical line on the screen of the Qosmio G20

A few minutes ago, I was surfing the web and from nowhere share an apperead to the blue vertical line on the screen.
A blue vertical line near the middle of the screen and crosses the screen all the up toward the bottom.

If I'm looking at a white background, the line is undetectable, but if it is colored, it comes right thru.

Please don't tell me they are dead... hoooo pixels... I am now, life away from any toshiba repair shop and I get a guarantee...
I think that I bought 3 years ago. Need urgent help

    Hey Susana

I wouldn't say it s a lack of dead pixel, but to me, it looks like a more serious problem.
It looks like a malfunction of the graphics card. But to be sure, you should try to connect the external monitor to the computer and check if the same vertical line will appear on the second screen.

If you're going to see the same line on the external monitor, then I assume that the question of the vertical blue line might be linked to the GPU fault.
This could be the case value because the chip graphic card cannot be replaced. You need to replace the whole motherboard :(

So, as you see it s not easy to solve this problem and I really recommend to contact a technician who has more experience with these laptop problems.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A205-s4577 - horizontal lines on the screen

    I have satellite a 205-s4577.
There are horizontal white lines on the screen as soon as I start it... it hangs at any point n that get these lines.
It is also sometimes black or white background just black n.,.
I contacted the service customer and update the drivers but nothing helped...

It works on the mode safe and bios...
This problem is very common when using ac power supply...
But it works fine on battery only on first boot it hangs, then works correctly
A center of service-tech said motherboard disappeared, without it seein juice by the description of the problem...

Please suggest a solution... m a urgent need for assistance

Well, I guess this also appears on the external monitor too
    Did you check that?
    Please do

If the same symptoms would be visible outside monitors so it s GPU related problem I mean the graphics card could be affected and because the GPU is a part of the motherboard, then entire motherboard must be replaced so the tech service guy could be good

  • HP probook 450 G2: flickering horizontal lines on the screen while watching the video after water damage

    Hello

My father accidentally threw a glass of cola on my computer, on my keyboard. I was able to turn my laptop upside down very quickly and went out of the battery. I then let dry for 24 hours. At first glance the damage seemed limited to my keyboard that I already replaced. Everything else seems to work very well (sound, touchpad, usb ports, hdmi, dvd drive port) until I watched a video. Flickering horizontal lines appeared in the background, which are only slightly visible. Lines do not appear when I'm surfing the internet, playing games, or when I do no matter what other casual stuff. I also don't see any flickering lines when I connect to my laptop to an external display.

Does anyone have an idea on what the problem might be and what parts can I replace to fix this?

The unit to boot BIOS and check if you get all the lines. If you don't get all the lines in the BIOS screen,

then update the BIOS and chipset. But if the problem persists then you must send it to the service.

  • Red line on desktop screen

Recently I noticed a "red line on desktop screen", running from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen. The laptop works fine, no problem. Do know you if this "red line" can make me evil or eny one using the laptop, please thank you

There she is in all programs, so if you start in Safe Mode then it is probably a hardware rather than a software problem. If it's a hardware problem, you will probably need to get your professionally repaired laptop because they are difficult for individuals to work on.
