My computer is facing frequent crashes since the update 11/01/11.  I get a blue screen crash page.  I plan to delete all updates to that date, but there were many.  Y at - it one in particular that I should try first?  Thank you!

Unfortunately it's trial and error about which one is the cause of the problem

the not to install windows updates is hardware 3rd party drivers

Microsoft is normally far behind in the drivers

It is a starting point

    My thoughts are that it is a driver problem. Try to update your drivers, and then stop the updated driver in Windows Updates.

    This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

    For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
    Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
    video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
    cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
    This will refresh the driver stack.

    Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
    own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

    Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
    (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
    updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

    Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

    Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
    because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a

    So I had update during a routine traffic stop of my compy (who was btw custom assembled by a friend and has worked perfectly for a year). I got the install updates and the button stop, then left for a few hours, thinking that it would update after a few minutes. I came home, and he had not yet determined a percentage of completion yet. SO I thought it was frozen/not going to work, so I unplugged it (I know it says not to do: P). so now so now when I turn it on it goes to the screen to stop and lets me choose if I want to start in:
    safe mode
    SafeMode w / networking
    safe mode with command prompt
    last known good configuration
    normally

    I tried all of this and they all take me to a blue screen that says:
    STOP: c0000218 {Registry file failure}
    registry cannot load the hive (file)
    systemroot\system32\config\SOFTWARE
    or its log or alternative
    It is corrupt absent or not writable

    I don't have my instillation of windows disk because I heard that it comes with a repair disc which should solve this problem.
    I tried to make Internet and I couldn't make them work

    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

    Sorry to hear about installation problems going TO that appeal to you. I guess you use going TO February 2014 or slightly earlier - can you confirm? There was a problem with one of the components, NEITHER FlexRIO going to understand which caused this exact problem on systems with a UEFI BIOS. We have since fixed the problem. If that were the problem, here are a few options:

    (1) install GO without Support IMAQ i/o for all cards of the R series (1473R, 8237R, etc.). This means that the affected FlexRIO component will not be installed.

    (2) update to a newer version of GO - I think that going TO August 2014 f1 shoots in the FlexRIO patched component that could solve the problem. If you choose to upgrade, I would recommend just upgrading to the last GO, if you are capable of: going TO August 2015 f1

    (3) keep the version of going TO you and patch the component FlexRIO: How can I get a blue screen after installation OR FlexRIO 13.1?, NI FlexRIO 13.2.0 Patch détails

    I recommend just update to the latest going TO if possible.

  • Blue screen after the recent updates of security for Windows XP SP3.

    I got following error messages "Blue screen" after the latest updates from Microsoft:

    0X0000007E (0X8053355E, 0XBA4CB50C, 0 X 80000003, $0XBA CB208). I tired to run in all modes of SECURITY but still had the same problem. I ran Dell diagnostics and it came with no error in memory or hard drive. I have a Dell Inspiron B130 w/2 MB of RAM. Does anyone have a solution? The laptop came with no CD boot.
