Get the error 42 with datasocket
Hi people,
I'm getting erro 42 with a simple datasocket read to a local network "http://172.27.72.70/versions" connection, I can query other webpages such as www.google.com. Any idea what I need to add to the front of this URL to make this work?
I saw this http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/27272FE3A32C334286257612004D9153
I don't know what that means:
"To work around this problem, you need to add [text] the URL connected to yourDataSocket Read.vi. "
Chrome, for example, can display information about the use of the same order.
Any ideas?

Usually I find that workaround means exactly what it says. Change the connection string:
http://172.27.72.70/versions [text]

This only happens with programs of msi. I used the fixit for me solution and it does not solve my problem and I'm afraid to mess with the registry. What can I do now? I am running Vista Home Premium. I don't know exactly what details you want. Just ask and I'll try to provide answers.
Sorry to take so long to get back to you - but I have tried different things to try to solve my problem.
I was able to upgrade Silverlight without problem. But failed to update Adobe Reader or Java.
I ran the Microsoft fixit to resolve the Error 1606. These are the 50356 fixit. Microsoft help page says:
"This problem can occur if there is an incorrect setting in one of the following registry subkeys:"
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders"
It did not work. I went to the support page that you recommended and ran the fixit there - and who did not.
Then I noticed that this fixit 50356 mentions 'current user' - so I tried to change my standard account to an administrator account. It basically gave me two administrator accounts. (I already had a separate administrator account and was simply put the password so that it will prompt to update Java and Adobe.) Then I tried to update Adobe Reader by using the new administrator (officially a standard account) and had no problem! Then, of course, the problem has been to my administrator account.
I'm guessing that the Microsoft fixit didn't work is because I was on the internet using my standard account, not my administrator account. So, it 'fixed' my standard account, that does not need fixing. I can't connect to the internet using my administrator account, unless it is necessary.
It would be useful that the Microsoft help page has explained that the problem is probably in the administrator user account that is used to download and upgrade programs, that the fixit solution that they recommended would fix the problems only on that account, and I had to log on that account, connect to the internet and then running the fixit. But it doesn't work. It just says: If you get the Error 1606, run this fixit.
I changed my new manager at standard and I'll connect to my normal administrator account and run the fixit from here. If this is the problem with this account, I will be setting up a new administrator user account and delete it.
Thank you very much for taking the time to try to help me. People like me who do not know much about computers need people like you to help us!

Why do I get the error message: NO. CHM with error 2: when you connect windows 7
My husband clicked on a video from Break.com and after 3 seconds, the screen started jumping and making a static noise then shut down. It restarts, but we ended up getting a blue screen which eventually do a windows repair, System Restore... etc. Later, thinking it was a virus, I was able to do a scan, but it did not help. I took the computer to someone else who tried a few things, anti-virus, one of them, but no virus has shown. I was trying to get out of fashion "sleep" after using it successfully for months to happen, and you have disabled since this mode. Now it's blindly for the computer to boot. I'm not a techie or computer wiz, but I need to know what I can do. I have an Acer Aspire with Windows 7 64 bit. Now, when I log in I also get the error message. CHM with error 2:
Thank you

I bought a book of game Google and downloaded the CMHA on my desk. When I try and open it with my Adobe Digital Edition, I get the error message "license make mistake. "License server communication problem: E_Stream_Error.
Response to SMcLeod8:
Hello, I managed to solve my problem of E_STREAM_ERROR regarding the Google Play ebook. The short answer is to use ADE 4.0.3.
When I met the problem of the E_STREAM_ERROR, it is with ADE 2.0.67532 on Windows 7 (and this had no problem handling the Kobo CMHA, OverDrive files, open a library and a sample epub BCAM from Adobe itself). This is why I would not upgrade my 2.0.67532 to the last 4.0.3. Instead, I used another Windows 7 PC and installed ADE 4.0.3. On my first try, I allowed the 4.0.3 without ID, and there was an error E-GOOGLE_DEVICE_LIMIT_REACHED. I then allowed with the Adobe-same ID * as my 2.0.67532 PC. It worked as I could get my epub from Google.
As I don't expect a response from Adobe technical support, I guess that now Google license servers do not work with Adobe 2.0.3. I hope this will help you solve your problem - at least to get your ebook in ADE first.
However, I would be careful replacing 4.0.3 of my 2.0.67532 I wouldn't be surprised if the latest version will not work with other suppliers of epub for social mobilization. For me the upgrade to the latest version of the software is never the best solution - it could solve a problem, but creates another.
Note: * I understand that you can authorize up to a total of six computers with the same Adobe ID. Not sure that this policy is still standing.
