Get the message to the wireless printer saying printer is offline.

As an administrator, I was hard plugged into the printer and had no problems. Moved to far from printer for wire to reach. Everyone can use printer wireless except me. Download the message saying that the printer is offline.

Moved from feedback

Original title: impression of the printer

I think you're right about the printer being set out for using the line.

To let you know which tab in the printer properties can I find the selection to remove the offline use. ?

I couldn't find this option.

  • Can not re - install Photosmart C4480 and get the error "printer is offline and error 41"

Hello. I had some corrupted files Windows and don't update. As I put everything I like, I think I can't reinstall my HP Photosmart C4480 printer.

    My system:

    Sony Vaio, 64-bit

    Windows 8

    What I see:

When I physically connect the printer via USB, the computer does not recognize that something has been connected. A flash drive inserted into the same port is recognized, so I don't think it's a problem of port.

I tried a different printer cable with the same results, so don't think it's the cable

Tried to install via the Setup program, but it does not recognize the printer.

Tried to install manually several times. It usually looks like it installs, but impossible to print the test at the end of the installation page

I got several error messages include:

That not being able to communicate in both directions. I checked this setting and it is turned on

    Error 41

Printer is offline (the printer is connected and turned on)

After manual installation, the printer will appear in devices and printers and the print dialog box (after it hit Ctrl-P). In the dialog box, Photosmart is selected, but when I hit nothing print response happens - no printer and no printer icon appears in the taskbar

I would greatly appreciate the help and advice to solve this. Thank you!

    Hi Renee,.

This question might be incorrect or incompatible printer drivers installed on the computer. The State of a printer offline may be due not to the power of the printer. You must also ensure that network share can be disabled.

For more information, see the link:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/turn-sharing-on-or-off

Error 41 problem occurs if you install a non-Plug-and-Play device driver, but Windows cannot find the device. Here are some things you can try to solve this problem.

If all the basic settings are checked and are up to the mark, you can refer to the suggestion of Pinaki displayed in the following link and check if it helps.

After you have uninstalled the printer driver, you can consult the following link to install the latest driver for the printer.

You could settle on a previous installation. Try this:

Go to your device manager and see if you have an old installation of the printer and right click Uninstall. You can also check if there is an old facility of the printer in Control Panel, printers, right click and delete it. Install the printer using the Add Printer Wizard. If it fails again with the same error, go to Device Manager right click on the name of your computer, click on "Scan for harware changes". He must find the printer and install it. Now you can check your printer if its work. If this does not work, please indicate your model of printer on your next reply.

  • RT of Windows cannot locate the wireless printer

I have a new Surface Windows RT (not 8.1) and I'm unable to connect to my printer wireless on my home wireless network.  The printer (Brother MFC-J625JW) is listed as a compatible printer Windows RT by Microsoft and brother.  My printer is on, visible on my laptop Windows 7 via the wifi network and works normally.  The Surface is connected to the same network.  I entered in the control panel > adding a device.  The printer does not appear in the list.  In fact, the only thing that appears in the list (momentarily) is someone from another PC - but not my printer.   How can I get the Surface to find my wireless printer that seems to operate other devices normally and is on the same wireless network?  Thank you.

Success.  The wireless printer now appears in the "Devices list".    The breakthrough came after installing the Windows Update screen Firmware updates.  I had already updated for Windows RT 8.1 (after my original message) from the window Store (free), but that has not fixed the problem.  I then went in the Panel, search the Windows updates.  Windows found 27 updates of firmware update that it installed.  2 reboots are needed.  After that, the printer has appeared in my list of devices.

    In response to your questions:

    1. & 2.   You are right: it is the MFC-J625DW.

    3. never checked directly connect USB since the Surface RT (now 8.1) was showing the printer.

    Thank you.

  • Cannot connect Windows XP to the wireless printer.

WINDOWS XP PRINTER WI - FI CONNECTION

I have Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 3 OS that worked a HP Photosmart Plus B209 a - m with a USB cable.  Since I just bought a new laptop (Windows 7 Professonal OS) I decided to create a home network with a router Cradlepoint MBR 900.  The two laptops (XP and 7 OSs) were connected to the internet via the router with no problems.  Windows 7 Pro OS laptop is connected wireless to the printer Photosmart Plus, I had implemented as confiquiration wireless the printer first.  But the failure of the attempt to get the OS Windows XP Media Center to connect to the wireless printer.  During the installation process to connect the printer to the XP system wireless it asked me to choose which printer I wanted to connect to.  The Photosmart Plus printer was selected and visible, then I clicked Next.  Shortly after, a small screen appeared stating the "serscan.sys" file could not be found and I have to insert a Windows XP Pro CD to get the file or run the installer of this file.  This issue has occurred both when I tried to install it with the CD provided by HP and when I tried installing the HP download website.  All I have is a recovery for Windows XP disk provided with the laptop and not a CD Windows XP Pro.  What should I do to fix this?  Thanks, Lonnie

Thanks, that was fast.  Please, let me make sure I have this correct.  First of all, I have two recovery disks provided with the computer, with Windows XP Media Edition and one for the drivers.  I should not use either of these disks, right?  If I had the previous correct answer then let me ask the following question;  When looking to borrow the disc should be Windows XP Media Edition or can I borrow any disk of Windows XP?  Kim Merci for your help continues.  Lonnie

    Lonnie,

Before the hunting around for friends who might have a CD, do the following research.  For each of them, make sure that you have checked the search options in the 'Advanced Options' to

    • Search system folders
    • Search for files and hidden folders
    • Search subfolders

Search your entire hard drive and both CDs you have to serscan.  Do not include the .sys at the end of the file name.

Search for Driver.cab.  Report of the Office (s).  On your hard disk, you should find one or both

    • C:\Windows\i386\Driver.cab
    • C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386\driver.cab

You can also find these files on the "recovery disk".

Report what you find, including locations of found nothing.  It is possible (but I don't think likely) you will find a file named serscan.sy_ - If Yes, include this information in your results.

Or, if you want to ignore all this, you can download serscan.sys since my SkyDrive-->

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?CID=18b259158254905b&RESID=18B259158254905B! 225 & Thierry = 18B259158254905B! 214

The file should go to C:\Windows\system32\dllcache (a hidden directory) and probably in C:\Windows\system32 (I do not use this file, if it is not in my system32 folder).

Or you can just save it to your desktop and "direct the Setup" it there (if you do this, check more later to confirm that he got into C:\Windows\system32\dllcache and if not, put a copy).

my continuous wireless printer going offline - how can I 'stabilize' the connection?

    Hello gerrie,.

What I would do is put off the printer and the router so

-essentially them turning off for about 10-15 seconds

-and then feed the router back on waiting for all the lights turn on completely

    - and after that is back in the market I would re - turn on the printer and re-establish the connection between the printer and wireless network

  • Photosmart more B209a_m: Virgin Super Hub does not connect with the wireless printer

We recently upgraged to a new blank media 3 hub, the printer is connected to a Hp Windows Vista desktop via USB, other devices (laptops and tablets) could access the wireless printer when the computer is turned on.

I also created the same printer to be used wireless by the other devices without the Office of marketing, it was a pain having to keep it logging on when he fell asleep. The printer had a different name if you are using one.

After that the hub of the Virgin was installed I can is no longer using the printer without the Office being wireless, the new Center can not find the printer connects as is done before that other laptops, I had no problem with my old hub and a separate router.

I've tried everything as suggested by Virgin (not much there) and reinstalled my drivers for the printer. Any suggestions what I can do?

  • Satellite L10 - could not get the wireless operation

    Hello

I reformatted my Satellite L10 and managed to pull the best of drivers to use, but I can't seem to get the wireless working.

I installed the Realtek driver http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/?page=downloads

I also tried to install the InProComm driver, but the installer crashes just after a while.

Anyone know what could be the problem? All solutions?

    Thank you

    Hello

What operating system do you use?
I checked Toshiba driver download page and looked for the driver for Satellite L10. Here, I can only find a driver Intel WLAN for Vista and the driver InProComm for XP but I can t find a Realtek WLAN driver.
It seems that your laptop is equipped with an Intel card check so the Toshiba site again:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

Before you install the driver WLAN make sure that WIFI is turned on with the hardware switch on the computer laptop and FN + F8.

  • Re: Unable to get the wireless adapter to work on my Satellite L550-1CC

I'm getting bored with this laptop, I reinstalled windows 7 (32 bit) and can not get the wireless adapter to work.

My router settings are perfect, my netbook is zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - the laptop insists that there is "no available networks."

This of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.

Windows automatically installed the wireless network - I thought that could be the problem, so I downloaded the realtek driver directly.

No difference. Always the small icon with Red Cross barred through it.

I thought it could have been a hot key problem - so I installed the flash card driver that apparently controls the access keys (for some reason any).

Shortcut keys still don't work - I could really care about that - it's just the wireless network I need.

Thanks for any help I receive.

    > my netbook has zero connection problems - the router is just inches away from the laptop most of the time - yet the laptop insists there is "no available networks."
After reading this sentence, I'm a bit confused. If there is no available WLAN networks how your laptop had zero problems to connect?

    One last thing:
    > Of course is BS, before I reinstalled windows I could pick up 3 other neighbouring networks as well as mine.
What is the difference between the old and the new installation of Windows?

In general the WLAN use is fairly simple.
Wireless network card - must be installed correctly (listed in Device Manager
WLAN card - must be enabled using FN + F8 key combination to activate the wireless network card
-scan the available WLAN networks area, click on the button of your WLAN and use connect
-put key WLAN if necessary and after a few seconds WLAN connection will work

I did this many times on laptops preinstalled Win7 and didn't have any problems. On all laptop computers pre-installed with Toshiba recovery image (factory settings) is not necessary to change the WLAN settings.

I installed KB263380 KB2572073 and KB2518864 three times with success; However, I get the yellow shield saying that I need to update to Windows XP

I ran the Mr Fixit for this problem, and briefly, the yellow shield disappeared, I thought that it worked.  But as soon as I clicked the solution worked and Mr. Fixit was gone, the yellow shield came back and said that I have to update these once again.

Thanks for the article.  The icon stopped appearing after the third time I've updated from Windows.  Someone must have solved the problem to Microsoft.  I did nothing except reboot several times.  Finally, the Update icon went in itself.

  • wireless printer is offline

I installed a new router and my wireless printer is offline (HP Officejet 4620. Product #CZ295A). What should I do to reconnect?

    Hi DianeS08840,

I understand that you have acquired a new router and the printer now appears offline. I'll try my best to help you solve this problem.

You need to reset the default printer to network and connect the printer to the router again. In this document for the wireless printing Center are the different methods of connection to the router. I recommend the Setup HP wireless Assistant.

Once you have the printer set in place on the new router, you need to update the IP address through the HP folder on your computer.

I hope this information can help, please let me know.

    Thank you
