Windows update installation problems get code error 80070490, tried to install windows vista from DVD of the upgrade box is greyed out and I can't upgrade, any advise?
Hi, Eve,.
First run the preparation tool system update for your version of Windows.
Start > right click on computer
Select Properties
Under system > Type system, you will see the 32 - bit or 64-bit system
Download the tool for your system (x 86 is 32-bit, x 64 is 64-bit)
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947821
When finished, restart the update. If the update fails, you will need to repair Windows.
Your DVD says recovery? This is the DVD, you will need to reinstall or repair Windows.
What is the make and model of your computer. The manufacturers provide a Recovery Utility in many cases.
Ex: HP provides a Recovery Manager for their computers
It is found by clicking Start > all programs > PC Help & Tools
Click on Recovery Manager

Upgrade Vista to 64-bit so I don't have to clean-install 62 bits WIN7
How can I go from 32 to 64-bit VISTA?
Hello
It s No 62-bit windows 7.
Consider that it's a typo
32-bit to 64-bit is not a upgrade path
you will need to do a clean install with a license of vista full 64-bit
and microsoft sells more vista
they moved on windows 7

When I use the command Edit from lightroom to open PS I no longer get the dialog box asking if I want to make copy, edit original or edit on lightroom adjustments someone can help me to change my setting I can get the dialog box?
You get only this dialog box when you open certain file type and not with other files of type. You get the TIF, JPG and PSD dialog box. On the RAW files, that you don't have. A RAW file is still a RAW file and always will the changes you have made in LR when sending it Psalm if you save the RAW file in PS to JPG, TIF or PSD and close this file. Then return to LR and make adjustments more on it, or not, and then send it to PS you'll get this dialog.

Firefox starts not desired and automatically goes to the Web site, I don't want to
When I'm working on the pc, even when I did not open firefox, it opens automatically and goes to a website I did not. for most gaming sites. The name "Gameforge" caught my attention somewhere.
even now, when entering this issue a new session of firefox (in another window, not in a separate tab) launched himself and went to http://fr.rappelz.gpotato.eu/intro6/?276760000, but it isn't always this site.
Hello
I have avg antivirus and iobit malware fighter and iobit advanced systemcare 6 works on my pc.
now I have installed hitman pro and TDSSKiller but found nothing.
But I think this could do the trick. When I run iobit uninstaller and verified recently installed programs that I found: Lollipop. I searched on the internet and it is a program that generates ads: http://www.lollipop-network.com/.
Then I uninstalled it. Pretty simple if you know where to look. I don't know even how it got installed in the first place.
Anyway, problem solved.
Thank you

I have a desktop Dell 2012 w/Win 7. The upgrade to Win10 free icon, is in the lower right. My machine is large, does everything that I need and is very fast. I've heard rumors that Win 10 has a lot of spyware. I am also concerned that it may slow down my PC. I use antivirus software given free by my ISP. On the other hand, if I'm not now, I might have to pay later. And win 10 will be much more supported.
So, I guess I don't really have the choice. What are the disadvantages of the upgrade problems?
Uninstall the antivirus before the upgrade. Third party anti programs anti-virus prevents the installation of win 10. You have until July 29, 2016 to get the free update - one year from the date of release. The last update win 10 is very good and I recommend it for a recent office like yours and you have 30 days to change your mind and return to windows 7. However, the way back does not always succeed. Check your exact model in Dell Support to see if there win 10 drivers available and is taken in charge for the upgrade before you decide. Find the list here-
www.dell.com/.../SLN297954; CID = 266889 & lid = 5129275 & c = us & l = en & s = bsd & cs = 04
If you want to stick with Windows 7 it will get updates of security until 2020. You need to replace the Board at this time here.

Error in Win-10 upgrade at least 3 times
error 0xC1900101-0x4000D 'SECOND BOOT' phase during the operation "MIGRATE_DATA.
"Configuration settings" is the final phase and fault codes look like c1900101 x400xx. The most common failure here is 40017, which means we could not start. Since this is the first time start us Windows 10 with all the drivers in place, once again, drivers are usually the cause of the accident. These issues tend to be less transient than the 30018 s, then a second test is less likely to solve the problem. Yet, it never hurts to try.

I use version OEM Windows XP HOME 32 bits on a Gateway desktop computer - with no problems. However, the hard drive is to reach the end of its planned life expectancy, and approaching the period of support for XP.
To solve the problem, I installed a new (small capacity) hard drive, with the intention to install Win 7 Pro (64 bit) on the new drive. I read and reread ALL instructions on different help pages (for installation) (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/)... and avoided all of the common problems.
Currently I have the old (Win XP) and the new hard drive physically assigned to DH0 DH1 - as a CUSTOM, run Setup. -leaving me with a choice of dual-boot to initialize the top between "Earlier version of Windows" (on DH1) and Windows 7 (on DH0). They both starts without any problem.
HOWEVER - during inspection, I see that the folder "OLD Windows" on Windows 7 drive in a VACUUM. This indicates that installation of Windows 7 does not recognize the existence of my current installation of Windows XP on the other hard drive? Upon activation, I get the dreaded
"Windows 7 activation error: 0xC004F061.
because "a previous version of Windows wasn't on your computer when Windows 7 was installed. To install an upgrade version of Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP must be installed on your computer. "The new Windows 7 must be installed on the same drive as the old Windows XP In order to activate the 'upgrade '?
I have no problem with the drudgery of migrating my data and install applications from one drive to another with an empty directory "OLD Windows" - as long as both car are mounted. My only question is to know if the 'new' Win 7 64 - bit OS SHOULD replace the old XP 32-bit operating system in order to Activate the newly installed operating system Win 7 64 bit.
Is there an 'Official' Microsoft document that answers this question?
Thank you
