Gradient focal point

Hello

Is there a way I can make the center of the highest point of Sun is more under the Dove?

I fiddled with the options in the gradient panel, but nothing.

Thank you!!!

It is always wise to indicate what version of Illustrator and what OS you are using.

Select the gradient tool. Click-drag with it... from where you want the Center.

If you are using CS4 or better, by selecting just the gradient tool will show degraded Annotator, you can then adjust the Annotator instead of click-and - drag.

    Hello

    After selecting 'spot' on the area AF function, how can I move the focal point on my desired location focus on my subject, please help im a new user.

    Thank you!

    If your A57 is in development mode spot it will use only the central Focus point, you will need to set it to single selective point, then use the arrow keys to move to the point you want.

  • Translate the focal point of a radial gradient?

    Hello

    Working from the great response in this thread, I'm trying to move the center point of the gradient of an object. Here's my test code:

    var idoc = app.activeDocument;
    var ipath =  idoc.selection[0];
    ipath.translate(
        100, // deltaX

    Anyone know what the trick is to place the origin of a radial gradient?

    Thank you!

    Why don't you use the code in the great response this thread?

    you left out some vital lines

    // select a path item with a gradient applied to it before running the script

    var ipath =  idoc.selection[0];

    ipath.filled = false; // remove previous gradient transformations, to be able to apply new ones ??

    ipath.fillColor = fillcolor; // re apply the same gradient color, without transformations.
    ipath.fillOverprint = ipath.fillOverprint; // without this, the gradient won't move or scale, but it does rotate ??

  • Focal point of magnetism?

    Hello

    I m french and my English is not Oxford

    So here's my question:

    How to create cue magnetism (point) on a layer to accurately place a drawing which is on the second layer?

    I have a drawing with checkerboard on a layer and I would define a second picture on it (some magnetism on intersection for ex)

    It of possible with illustrator, but I want to know if possible with it s soft first

    I don't know if I m clear, if not tell me one more time I'll try to find native English to help me formulate my problem.

    Thx for your attention

    First, there is no snap to guide lines of all kinds.

    Better is to do that in AI or Ps then put in PR.

    or set the zoom to 400 level and use the tilde key in the program for a precise positioning monitor.

  • What is close-angle and focus distance in radial gradients in CSS?

    Read the reference (http://docs.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/api/javafx/scene/doc-files/cssref.html#typepaint) I found these two values that you can set in a radial gradient definition:

    radial-gradient([*focus-angle* <angle>,]?) [* focus-distance * < percent >]? [< point > central]? RADIUS [< length > | < percent >] [[repeat | reflect],]? (< color-stop > [, < color-stop >] +)

    Could someone enlighten me what they mean? I wrote a small tool for Visual definition of Gradients (http://88.198.17.44/blog/2012/04/13/it-works-fxexperience-tools-gradienteditor-plugin/) as an extension to the FXExperience tools, and I would include if it makes sense.

    Thank you

    Toni

    Focus-angle and distance from development are used together to determine the focal point of the radial structure.

  • Opening and talking Points

    Apple Aperture has the feature that, when enabled, allows you to see the point (s) point on a photo.  I noticed that it works when I use my 60 d with a Canon EFS 18-200 mm, but not when I mounnt my Canon 100-400 L lens.

    I would like to hear if others have seen this and, if possible, can be done to remedy this.

    Thank you

    Ed

    Hi Edward1064!

    Thanks for posting.

    You will need to contact Apple directly to see if they know why the talking points are not displayed.  Our own software, Canon Digital Photo Professional, will display the update when you set, no matter what the goal was used on the camera.  The only reason you wouldn't see a focal point is if a focus lock has not been reached or implemented manual focus has been used.  It is also something you might want to consider.

  • Paint in illustator points

    Untitled.png

    Hi all

    I received a group of objects are made up of points. I would like to make a change on the color computer. Basically, whirling colors like Rainbow in the sky, but unfortunately I have not found a way to do. Y at - it anyone out there can help me?

    Thank you!

    I'm not see exactly what you want, but it seems like a gradient would be the way to go.

    Select the points. In the swatches Panel menu, choose Open Swatch Library > Gradients > spectra.

    A click on a gradient. As a first step, that each point individually fill with the gradient.

    If you select the gradient tool and drag through the selected points the gradient fill points as a unit.

  • Gradients endangered?  Won't export to PDF format.

    Hi, I've been searching around the answers to this and cannot find something that is quite the same problem. To summarize briefly, I have a file sent to me from our headquarters that was made in InDesign and it contains a few gradients (just pointing out that the gradients are from InDesign, it's not as if it was something copied and pasted from Illustrator).  Everything seems fine, but when I export to PDF (it is a brochure to give to customers) the gradient is simply replaced by a solid color.

    I tried to play with the export to PDF settings, I tried to change the transparent color space a some other bits and bobs but in vain.

    I don't know if it makes a difference but the affected place is the master page.  that is not normally selectable unless you change the master page.  But that being said, I have copied the content and paste it into a layer normal and always had the same problem.

    Any ideas?

    I tired literally all setting options during export.  Pass by systematically for all combinations.

    But you know what?... I just accidentally discovered how to work around this problem and accordingly, that seems not really it's just a weird bug (and I've updated my InDesign where she had corrected).

    If the angle of the gradient is fixed what anyone other than 0, the gradient of the exports.

    But if it is 0 it does not export, and you get just a solid color (i.e. regardless of the left, the color is in the gradient panel).

    I tried fiddling around with it to reproduce the problem with the gradient angle set to 1 degree and had no problems what-so-ever.

  • CS5: Coloring Anchor Points

    Hello. Clearly I am missing something simple beginner. I'm working on a tutorial, and the indications that I'm in are the following:

    Step 16:

    Select the shape of the bottom and the mesh tool (U) allows to add an anchor point in the left corner, exactly in the middle of the shape of the bottom as shown.
    Paint all the anchor points down of this form with r: 0, G:0, B:0. And paint the points of the best anchor points with R:135, G:96, B:66.

    Here is the tutorial if you want the Visual reference: ustrator http://vector.tutsplus.com/tutorials/illustration/how-to-make-a-magic-book-using-adobe-ill /

    I create a book, and it's at the base, while he was basically two rectangles with a semi-circle in the middle like a spine. I used the NET tool to create a line that divides the shape. I have to assume the cracks behave differently, because I couldn't split paths to make separate, and modifying segments filling of the form ignores the mesh line. So I guess now that a path of mesh is not counted as a normal path. But he tells me to paint all points anchor and two different colors... How the hell can I do?

    I click on the gradient tool, it does not appear anything else that paste a gradient on things slider, which does not affect the fill color.
    Grasping the shape and change color in color the entire shape fill Panel changes...
    Select the Group and try to make a gradient in the gradient panel does nothing, it does not yet record as something that can be filled.

    So who exactly these directions ask me to do?

    Thank you very much!

    It seems that the instructions missing essential information for people who are not very familiar with Illustrator.

    To add a fill to a gradient mesh point, you must first select the direct Selection tool, which is the key has, and then click each item you want to change the gradient mesh. To make this process faster, click and drag on the points that you want to include while holding down the SHIFT key. In this way, you have select each point precisely and can be a little more flexible with what you select. But keep in mind that all the points that you surround yourself with the direct Selection tool will be selected so according to the shapes in your file by dragging through them, maybe not the best option.

    Then with the points chosen, you can go into your color palette and change the color of these points. You will know that the points are selected because they will be filled with a solid color while the unsuccessful points will be 'hollow' which is just a fancy way of saying they're going to be filled with white.

  • Pacilion g119dx 17: 17-g119dx Pavilion chassis disassemble problem

    Having a serious problem with disassembly.  Have check the user guide followed all instructions make sure that all screws are out.  Corners correctly pressures from all sides.  Hoever it seems ot at least 2 points of fixation, located towards the arriere-moyen area, approximately in the region in the '5' and '9' around the keyboard key areas.

    I did a little glances to see if I can visually see the exact points, but will not force to break these focal points.

    Absolutely no screws even in the field... period.  The keyboard is not removable on top.  Is it possible screws under one of the keys on the keyboard, I need to draw these neeny to uncscrew these connection points?

    It is a technical design absolutely horrible by HP.  This is done to do nothing more to upgrade the RAM, which has two memory slots and one is empty (I can see, but cannot get to it without being able to remove the bottom of the chassis).

    I searched the internet for a soltion and even called HP "adapter tech", which had no idea (big surprise).

    Any help to solve this will be greatly appreciated!  I already spent hours trying to find a resolution, without success.

    TIA!

  • Crazy auto app switching and icon bounce.

    People, I don't know what is the cause, but it did not happen before El Capitan:

    Whenever I work in Final Cut Pro X and switch to another application, even if it is busy doing something, the icon in the dock bounces continuously.  Even more annoying, however, is that the OS will switch the applications on its own as in a window in the Finder or Apple Mail.  It seems that FCP X wants attention and try to return himself becoming the focal point.  I'm not sure. While I try to go to yet another application, the operating system just puts apps on me.

    Any ideas?

    OS X 10.11.2

    iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2), null

    This one is weird.

    I would suspect something in the operating system.

    This ONLY happen when FCP X is running? What is he doing? There is a visible trend to this?

    Two innocuous things to try: 1) safe boot mode (hold down the SHIFT key immediately after pressing the power button and until the Apple logo appears), then reboot normally again. (2) delete FCP x preferences (hold down the command and option keys when FCP X starting and confirm to remove preferences).

    Note: 1) while in Safe Mode, your mac will be slower, and it can take a long time to start. It's normal. (2) after deletion of the preferences you need to locate and open the libraries you use maybe, but this isn't any delete or change your content well course, you will need to go to preferences and set them as you want.

    I want to know how to determine the center of a 2Dpicture

    any help please?

    Hi iman.

    as you know the size of your image, it should be easy to calc the focal point:

    center_x =(x_max+x_min)/2

    center_y =(y_max+y_min)/2

  • Settings/discontinuity of SineWave

    Hello

    Is it possible to have two sinusoids that play one after the other would accuse discontinuity? I know that I can can use the setting Phase and calculate as follows:

    y = Amplitude_A * sin (frequency * time + Phase_A)
    Bias_B = Amplitude_A * sin (frequency * time + Phase_A)

    Since time = 0:
    Bias_B = Amplitude_A * Sin (Phase_A)

    Insulation Phase_A:
    Phase_A = ASIN (Bias_B/Amplitude_A)

    (and I convert it into degrees)

    So I have a function that is as smooth as possible, but it does not work if I have a sine wave of 800 (max) 200 (min), followed by another 600 (max) to 400 (min). If my bias is higher the Amplitude (just as in this example), I have no way to go at the end of the first sine wave at the beginning of the second without discontinuity or ramp. Ideally, I'd like the transition for a curve.

    Sorry if this is not clear, English is not my first language.

    Thanks in advance

    Hey PPrez.

    I think the only way to ensure that it will not be a discontinuity for make sure that you have the sine wave to a point common. Since we are not changing the frequency and that we are not changing the focal point of the amplitude (500 in two waves), the best way to get this change with minimum discontinuity is to change to cross this line 500. There is no necessary dephasing, because point central it should be phase 0 and pi of two waves depending on whether you cross low to high or high to low. You can also implement fenestration during the transition period to minimize discontinuity, but this will change the shape of your signal during this period.

  • convolution vi

    Hi all

    I have two Gaussian profiles and lorentziennes, which their convolution should be a Voigt profile. I'm simply using convolution.vi, but the result is not so much that I was expecting. I enclose my front panel and block diagram. As you can see it the Voigt (G * L) is much much lower than two G and L. In addition, the focal point has shifted 500 points!

    Everyone please help me understand what is the problem?

    Thank you
