Graphics card for my HP Pavilion slimline

For now the only game I have is Team Fortress 2 and I play on DirectX 8.1 even if the card says that it is compatible with DirectX 9.0 otherwise the gameplay is too much lag. So I want a new graphics card, so I can run it and most recent (highest) games in a quality top (I currently have a NVIDIA GeForce 6150se) but I need help.

It's my current computer

First I need to know, you can even replace the graphics card on this? And if so their any constraints on what I can get?

All trying to work this stuff, I came across this.

http://www.shopping.HP.com/webapp/shopping/computer_can_series.do; HHOJSID = 6HF1NkJCN6TQBdBMvGgmvhzynS...

It is very similar to mine and the part of graphics card, she has two choices, both much better than my current card.

It is the only it is sold separately, and I do not think for a second it's really this cheap (so help me in this sense too please)

http://www.Google.co.uk/products/catalog?q=Radeon+HD+5450+DDR3&hl=en&CID=13087746392742134292&EI=-9K...

So who made the card work in my PC and if not, what will be?

Thanks in advance.

Hello

DDR3 would be better, but may have a different power requirement in order to check with the retailer.  If it works on a 220W power, it would be the best choice.

Kind regards

Please suggest a graphics card for me.

I have the R7 Radion integrated AMD provided with the motherboard, when I bought the Office a couple of years. Max resolution seems to be 1600 x 1200.  I want to improve my (two) monitors and the graphics card in order to better support my work Adobe Lightfoot.  I did not and never going to make any game.  Power supply of the desktop computer is 300W.

    @MarkG3, welcome to the forum.

Here is a video card which should do what you need.  It's a little above your budget, but it is really worth the extra money.  The plug on the State of EVGA Web site she needs at least 300W to work properly.  However, there have been several reports on the forum think 400W is needed.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

If you decide to buy it you can try with your current converter of power supply (PSU).  It will not damage anything.  It simply will not work correctly.

  • HP Pavilion Slimline s5615uk: upgrade I can add a graphics card to an HP Pavilion Slimline s5615uk-m

Can I add a graphics card? If Yes, which?

    @DavidMW You are welcome.

Please do not hessitate to ask questions.  This is the reason why I'm here.

Most of the games are today video very intensive.  This is why your computer begins to lag when the game gets busy.  A video card would be a good thing, but will be much easier to install more memory.  This is the memory that is recommended by Crucial memory.  The max memory is 4 GB, however.  You would be better served if you decide to upgrade the memory to buy 2 x 2 GB memory new and remove the old.  Another way to increase performance of the system is to add an SSD.  Take a look at the recommended by Crucial SSD.  They make great products for OEM computers.  My HP laptop game boots Omen is less than 7 seconds and increases the speed of loading games with the 256 GB SSD.

I have to be honest with you.  The Slimline models simply are not meant for the game; even

    Hello:

Graphics cards cannot be updated simply.

You will need to replace the motherboard with another which would have better graphics (if available for your model).

This would cost as much buying a new laptop, so it is probably not a good idea to undertake such a venture.

  • Graphics card for my HP Pavilion e9180t...

Hi all.  I'm looking to pass on the graphics card ATI Radeon HD 4850 with my computer.  Wondering if there are restrictions on what the card is compatible with my HP Pavilion e9180t.

IM on Windows 7 Home premium 64 - bit os.  1 TB HD 9 GB of ram... Intel Core i7 [email protected].

I read somewhere about the possible conflicts of BIOS or something, not really sure what all that is on... So any help is greatly appreciated... Thank you

Yes, that's correct.  Therefore, the video card should run fine with your current diet.

  • I'm looking for a dual monitor graphics card for my HP Pavilion a6744uk

Can someone suggest a price chart card reasonable double screen for my HP Pavilion a6744uk? either double VGA or vga and dvi (as I have a vga to DVI)

    Thank you very much

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion a6744uk desktop computer. According to specifications, your system has one slot PCIe x 16 open for a graphics card and a 300 Watt power supply. This Palit GeForce GT 520 of Amazon.co.uk seems to meet your needs. When we look at cards to ensure they do no more than 8 or 9 inches and require a system assessment of 300 watts or less.

  • Update graphics card for my HP Pavilion p7-1534

I almost had my PC for a year now. I am looking for a good gfx card update that will allow me to run some high senior graphic games smoothly on graphics settings. Battlefield, ArmA, GTA are examples of games... Games like this. I know that I will also need to upgrade the power supply with the new card. If you could show me a few good cards and supplys power which would best adapt to what I'm looking for. Thank you.

P.S. Try to stay as close as possible to $400. I'm not trying to spend too much more than that.

    Hello

Feeding Corair CX500, or CX600 will best fit inside your PC and will have enough power for most video cards.

I run BF3 using a NVIDIA EVGA GTX 660 upstairs to the Ultra no problems at 1920 by 1080 resolution. In addition, if you want your PC to run in UEFI mode you can get an EVGA patch to enable this feature.

  • new graphics card for a desktop Pavilion p6657c PC

This computer has a 250 watt power supply. I want to get a new video card with more specialized memory (1gig) to accelerate a business program. The operating system is windows 7. CPU is AMDAthlon II x 2 220. It came with an nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430, with 256 MB of memory dedicated.

All I can say is that people have added this card on power supply less than 300W.

You can take the risk or not.  Your choice.  I can't tell you what will happen in your specific PC, because I don't know what other material there.

Personally, I think that the card will work fine, or I would not have recommended it.

Manufacturer of the video card normally overestimated the supply needs of power for their video cards, so they don't get a lot of complaints from people saying that their video card blew their power supplies, etc.

For example... I use an AMD Radeon HD graphic card 6670 in my HP 8200 Elite CMT PC business.  The card called 66 Watts max.

AMD said that you need a 400W power supply and my PC has a 320W power.  It's a 80 Watt shortfall.

I ran it like that for 3 years with no problems whatsoever.

I have two AMD Radeon HD 6570 in 2 other of my business office.  AMD says that you need a power of 400 Watt for those too, and I've been running both of these other PC with 320 W P/S for the same all about 3 years with no problems at all.

HP offered the AMD Radeon HD 6450 in the 8200 Elite small form Factor PC, which has only a 240W PSU. AMD says you need a 400W power supply to run this card.  See page 2 of the PC data page and page 15 for graphics cards offered in the form factors.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/h20195/v2/GetDocument.aspx?DocName=c04313388

This is the power of AMD for the HD 6450 requirements... see the support topic.

    http://www.AMD.com/en-us/products/graphics/Desktop/6000/6450#

If you're still skeptical, I recommend that you either upgrade your diet (I've never done such an update, so I can't help you there), or the use of this handy power supply calculator which will estimate the power supply necessary based on the video card you want and the hardware on your PC.

I bet you will see that he comes up with a value less than 300W.

They do x 1 pci - x video cards, but they are only for the addition of another monitor... not good for games. You need a x 16 pci - x video card and you can not shoot for the moon. You probably have enough power or physical space to install a video card top online $ 500.

My p6-2340ea is in excellent condition and does everything I want... except... I am interested in flight simulators and you want to add a dedicated graphics card... my questions are: -.

one) can I do this and

    (b) if so, what would be a good reseaonably price card.

    Hello

Yes, you can add a dedicated to your PC graphics card.  Your PC has a 300 watt PSU, so the better graphics card that would work without replace the power supply would be the NVIDIA GTX 750. Open your PC and do a little measuring inside so that you know how much room is available.   Study it displayedinformation. Do not buy a GTX 750 which requires a PCI-E power connector 6 pin or you need to return or replace the power supply.

I also suggest that you contact the manufacturer of Flight Simulator software and make sure that the NVIDIA GTX 750 will execute the software.  If this isn't the case, then get a recommendation.

Here are the specifications of your HP Pavilion Slimline s5706f desktop computer and its card mother H-apricot-RS780L-Μatx (apricot). According to the specification, this model does not have a PCIe x 16 graphics card slot or any other slot for graphics card for this question. This system is unable to accept a graphics card. The motherboard contains only two slot PCIe x 1 which are not really evaluated for graphics cards.

  • Low profile & power graphics card for s3321p Slimline

Hi I currently own a HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p. It's a good system, except the graphics card.

    OS: Vista 32-bit

RAM: 2 GB (will likely move to 4 GB)

    Hard drive: 500 GB

    PSU: 160W

    Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X 2 5000 + (2.6 GHz)

Course graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430

You can find more details here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01297158

I know it's really hard to find a graphics card for 160W, but I really don't want to upgrade my power supply.

I would like to play the new Sim City 5, and specifications of my computer are satisfying the requirements (surpassing a number), except for the graphics. I need to at least 256 MB and the 6150 has only 128 MB. Could you give me any suggestions on a graphics card that will fill my computer and the power supply? Thank you.

    Thanks, help is really appreciated.

Also, I'm a bit confused about the difference between a chipset and a card, could you explain that? It is said that there is 1 PCI x 16 slot for a graphics card.

If you think that I really need a new power supply, could you give some recommendations? But I really try to avoid it, then, Yes. Thanks again and sorry for this post so long.

You have already linked to the card to your computer, but for good measure... Here are the specifications of original factory for your HP Pavilion Slimline s3321p desktop again. As you already know, there's only a non - ATX 160 watts of power. The only way you'll be able to install a graphics card in retail is to upgrade your diet. www.athenapower.com should have a diet that will power a graphics card with a system recommended nominal power of 300-400 watts power. Alternatively, you can contact HP, see if they have a low graphics power of cutom made card that will work with the provision of 160 watts of power. This option will probably be more expensive.

According to specifications, your computer has integrated graphics using nVidia GeForce 6150SE integrated chipset with up to 256 MB (512 MB or more of memory system). Basically, a motherboard with integrated graphics card has the graphics capability built into the motherboard. A graphics card, on the other hand, is a map designed to plug into a slot on the motherboard. As a general rule, a graphics card will be more powerful than integrated graphics card of a chipset.

Please let us know how you want to proceed and we should be able to help you any further.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE 547c: upgrade graphics card for HP Elite

I tried to replace/upgrade to update my graphics card for my desktop PC. I tried several video cards, but with each one, once it is installed and the computer turned on, the image does not register with the monitor. Everything else seems to work, but the monitor gives no answer. It was only a problem once the original video card has been removed. The current video card, I am trying to install is the NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

In the course of the years, I added a memory and the power supply has been upgraded, but all the rest are always original parts (http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-Desktop-PC-series/5035344/model/5074426/do...

Is this a problem with the other parties, who will need to be replaced or is there something else I forget?

    Thank you.

    Hello

You're dominant, in your case, the most important factor-BIOS compatibility... more recent maps, like the gt730, require the UEFI BIOS to run... you have a LEGACY BIOS system, and cannot do anything, unless you change your motherboard... your pc is a model of early 2011... UEFI standard HP in their systems of end of 2012...

You can watch other maps, if... the 700 series card youre looking at is a maxwell model 2014... There are in this region that come with a feature of hybrid bios which offers wider compatibility on legacy systems... or you can look at maps more old pascal/fermi architecture that work exclusively on legacy BIOS systems...

    Hope this helps
