Moving My Documents to another location

It is a question of Windows XP.  My Documents was the installation to use a network share and also to synchronize with the local hard drive using the synchronization.  The NAS share on failed, so I tried to "Move" My Documents to another share.  The move failed, and now I'm left with only part My Documents.  Where are the original records of "Sync" so I can recover my data?

Hello

It seems that the data on your local disk could be deleted.

There are other third-party apps available to recover lost or deleted from your hard drive files. I suggest you to browse internet for applications and then try to recover these files.

    You need

    1. to disconnect the tablespace

    2. copy your data files to the new location

    3 Rename in your database

4 put the storage space online

  • Problems moving my Documents in different place

I use an SSD for my system with P Pro CS5 disk in Windows 7.  Due to the limited space and the cost of the SSD compared to mechanical drives, it seems that it was a good idea to move my Documents to another location.  Unfortunately, I found that it can create several problems as follows:

    • Unless the shot for a moving system file is properly made, the recovery can be risky.
    • The relocation results in a pointer in libraries in my documents to the new location, but under C:User\ 'account name' the My Documents folder no longer exists.
    • When you use the Premier Pro, the default project files seem to be normally directed to specific locations.  In another drive as the system drive, the system default settings seem not to apply.  If there are multiple users, moved my Documents file must be placed in a folder by name of separate account for each account in the new location.   This adds more complexity and can be confusing for the edition with the Pro P.

Accordingly, I consider that I must leave the file system where they are and limit their size.  Is a convenient way to move files system using P Pro?

I found this on the hardway, but to the inability of my workspaces created be saved.  It turned out that, first apparently puts the files of preference here where he thinks THAT MY DOCUMENTS pointed to.  If redirect you MY DOCUMENTS to a different drive (for example, a NAS, like I did), always written first in/users/documents...  When I reversed the redirect, the problem disappeared.  As fuzzy, I created a folder "My DOCUMENTS" on the NAS and then mapped this location on each workstation as a network folder so that it appears in the tree view in windows Explorer.

  • Slow check after moving documents to another drive

About 2 months ago, I installed Windows 7 on SSD and moved the Documents folder to the D drive.

Since then, economy has got slower and slower, sometimes 3 + minutes to save a file!

I needed to upgrade to a larger hard drive, so now I installed a 6 TB drive and uses less than half of it, and it starts to slow down too.

No idea what my problem is and the solution?

I appreciate your help for advice.

    Don

    Hi Don,

We ask the following information so that we can help you further.

    (1) what is the brand and model of the SSD and your computer?

    (2) you have any application security third party installed on your computer?

Files transfer rate depends on the size of the file get transferred and the version of USB Port (2.0 or 3.0).

I suggest you disable all third-party antivirus (if installed) programs. Firewalls and programs third-party antivirus can interfere with the copy process. This is why disable all third-party software installed temporarily. Now try to install and check.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Let us know the details asked so that we can help you further.

  • Imported video does not show what moving published file swf to another location

I wonder if there is something I need to do for the video file imported to embed in the swf file. When I move the file published to another location, the video does not show. When it is played in the same location as the fact that publication, he plays very well. When I move the video file to the same location as the swf file that is published on another computer, it does not seem to see it. I don't know how to solve this problem. Looking for suggestions. Thank you!

Got it, thanks again! I actually got to work by converting the mov to flv and video integration.

  • Impossible to move Documents to the location of the original file

I recently installed a new hard drive (g) to save space, and I wanted to move my Documents out there

I changed the location of the files normally, accessing my users folder (C :), select properties and change the location. However, I did a specific folder to the new location of documents and I simply chose G:\

Documents always appear under my libraries, and I can still access them. However, they no longer appear in my user folder, so I'm more able to move to the default location.

I tried to do a "My Documents" folder later and moved all my files recently moved from Documents in this folder, but that did not work, because it does not yet show a location tab. It shows that 'Général', 'Sharing', 'Security', 'Previous Versions' and 'customize '.

When you go to the properties of Documents in the libraries tab, I tried clicking on "Restore default settings", but there is nothing.

In short, he's my documents are intact. (G) has a folder My Documents containing all my documents, but I created this folder after you change the default location, so it is no longer present in my users folder. If I pass this new folder to my (c :)) users file, which will set?)

Once, I screwed up my file relocations and was able to fix the problem quickly and without any side effects.  However, the solution involves changing the registry to apply the usual caveat [back to the top of all, make an image of the system, test the system repair disc / Windows installation disc so that you know that you can start with something to be able to restore the image if Windows will not cooperate].

1 open RegEdit [C:\Windows\regedit.exe] - I always open it by right-clicking and selecting run as administrator but I don't think that will be needed for special keys concerned by this hotfix.

    2 go to

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Click on through each entry in the list to see what number S-1-5-21-NNNNNNNNNNNN-100X is the name of the affected user.  The user name appears in the right-hand side of the RegEdit window you look at each entry.  The number of S - etc., it will be the X at the end between your user accounts.

    3. navigate to this entry [using the S - etc number you just found]

    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-NNNNNNNNNNNN-100X\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

4 change the value of the personal in the right side by double-clicking on the personal and changing that value to that of the new way you have implemented already.  [Staff means your my documents entrance].

5 you will also see a few lines up key

    HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-NNNNNNNNNNNN-100X\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell records

and the entries in there match those in which you have worked in.  I mention the existence of the second series of entries just because you might see them and might get worried that something has gone wrong.  When I made this correction, I just couldn't get the second set until later so I have whatever it is worry.  [I've never understood the difference between keys user Shell and Shell Folders folders.].

6 that I have rebooted afterwards.  And then everything was fine.

  • move the primary database files to another location

    Hi all

I move the files of my primary database to another location on the same server, but on a different drive (from f: to G :) with rename comand but file name will be the same, after you have moved the files what step I need to perfom on standby DB will have on my database pending?)

This doc is everything after you rename the primary file, I'm not rename all the files I need to just move file from one place to another without changing the file name.

I hope you know how to move files from one place to the other on the primary database. It's not just copying the files from one disk to another and then to go to the top of your database.

You rename your data files or copy it to another location, how the controlfile to know you have copied/renamed to a different location?

I guess you 1 to ask the question of how to move files to a different location in primary education and then move on standby.

    Steps to follow:
1 Hope you brought your primary database.
2 copy the datafiels to one disk to another.
    3. attach the primary database.
4 rename all data files that you moved to this control file would know the changes.
    SQL > alter rename file 'G:\oracle\user01.dbf' to 'F:\oracle\user01.dbf ';
    5. subsequently open the database.
Refer this to move data files from one place to another http://www.orafaq.com/wiki/Move_datafile_to_different_location, http://www.adp-gmbh.ch/ora/admin/move_datafiles.html

    on autonomy in standby:
    1 cancel the MRP
    2. change the db_file_name_convert to point to «F:\»... »
    3. Mount the backup database
    4. start the MRP

Hope that these steps are clear.

You may be able to recover from the computer or the flash drive using a program like Recuva file recovery.  For the best chance, do it immediately, before doing anything else on the computer.

How can I activate the "do not show this again" when the dialog box appears whenever I try to download a picture to another location?

The dialog box that appears frequently when I try to convert or download photos, shows the shadow of this question - I want to make it active until the times dialog box stops appearing I scroll the photo folders.

    Thank you

I got the last part of what you wanted, which was simply not the message

The key is that you have to allow this program through your windows firewall.

Go to your look for the windows Firewall Control Panel,

There should be a list to allow a program through windows firewall, look at the top left.

If you feel safe doing this, vlc is not one that I would feel safe with, but to you, it has a function to browse to find the program to be added to your trusted list or access through your firewall.

Still, it may give you a warning but could release the message?

How to file the documents in a specific file and transfer has already filed documents to another file?

Pretty simple. But first you need to know if you have copy to or Move To options in your context menu.
If you have not, here is the tutorial to install.

Once this is done, the rest is simple > right click on the doc file > click Move To > move the folfer of your choice > click on move. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

I was already accepted and ordered my playbook for free for several weeks, so I'm not terribly worried about the upcoming deadline... *.

However, I am trying to sign my application and download it, so it will be available when playbooks are starting to be sold next month.

I got my signature key and computer recorded, and everything worked perfectly the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. But the SDK, I had in January of obviously won't complie with the signing key, then I will try now to move from beta 1 to beta3

However, the installation program itself for the WW SDK Beta3 seems to have issues... (I can't wait until hastily to all questions on the forum after I get installed)

I was expected some compliing or test problems, but not a problem with the real install extraction itself.

I downloaded the file (several times) to this URL:

Whenever I try to install it, I get the error message of InstallAnywhere: Please select another location to extract the Setup program for:

Web search and the forums indicate that the download of the installer itself is corrupted and there is nothing I can do to solve.

Therefore, I sit and I wait. Unless someone else wants to give me the file BlackBerryWebworksSDK which extract properly or give me some advice.
