grounded of unused pins of the DAQ

Hello

I use neither USB DAQ 6008 for my project. Should I connect the pins that I don't use in the Earth?

Impatience on your part

M

It should not be necessary.

Although if you actually include a channel in your data acquisition which is not connected to anything, you can read a ghost of the channel image previously learn when you read the unused channel.  In which case, grounded the unused channels that would prevent.

But then why would you put in place a DAQ task that reads a string which is not connected?

  • Available to the pins of the webcam module

    I'm building a detector simple alpha particle and want to use this webcam that I'm waiting to receive. So I hope someone can help me understand what the pins are on the webcam module.

    As the picture below shows the number of spare parts is 626656-001 and the list of products, it is used in can be found here: http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?SearchText=626656-001. I searched for useful patterns, but without result.

    Thank you!

    Having received the cam [1] and the corresponding cable (P/N DD0AX6CM002) I did a second round of research and came up with the answer in an old NET [2]. The user CompRepairGurus referenced schemas [3] and provided this image:

    This information has been verified by seeing how the pin 1 and 2 related to a twisted cable pair and using a multimeter to verify that the PIN 4 and 5 have a connectivity with areas of grounding of the module camera (scew holes).

    So the answer regarding the image in the first post is:

    A = pin 1 Data +.

    B = pin 2, Data-

    C = pin 3, + 3.9VDC

    D = pin 4, ground

    E = pin 5, soil

  • PIN of the connector broken but the charger works always, safe to use?

    On food, to the end that connects to the computer, the connector is cylindrical with a thin metal rod in the middle. This rod is broken, but taken light goes even when the connector is connected. I can still continue to use the charger or the computer may be damaged? If this isn't the case, I'd appreciate an explanation because I am familiar with electronics. What is the function of the centering pin? The other end has a third PIN to ground. Thanks in advance

  • Where is the pin of the NI 9401 land?

    Guys and girls,

    It's a simple question, but where is the land of a NI 9401 pin? I see here (last page) the PIN on the module, but I do not see a GND port. Just connect to the ground of the signal to a port in NC? Or a COM port? (this means 'common')?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    Yes COM is common and ask your question the COM port would be on the ground. Please read the first paragraph in the link under here. Hope this helps, have a nice day.

  • Having all the icons app pinned to the docking station

    It affect the performance or memory available to other programs if you pin all the application icons in your dock (just for the look)?

    I'm not sure about the memory, but keeping all applications in the dock reduces the execution stack, so it is wise to keep apps in launchpad (you can keep finder and trash in the dock) and also to reduce the size of the icons.

    Thank you!

  • The Web sites I've pinned to the taskbar are missing, now what?

    I can't find my icons for different websites I've pinned to the taskbar, like facebook.

  • How to rename the bookmarks pinned to the taskbar?

    Firefox 18.0

    I have a few bookmarks pinned to the taskbar. They show the URL of the link, not the name of the bookmark. For example; in my menu bookmarks, I have a bookmark named "hotmail", but when I pin in the Firefox icon in the taskbar, it appears as https://login.live.com.

    How to rename or get it to show the same name as the menu drop-down?

    Step 1: Create a bookmark to the URL in firefox with the name you want.
    Step 2: Drag the bookmark on the desktop (it can create it with the IE icon)
    Step 3: Drag the icon to the icon of firefox pinned in the taskbar. This should pin the URL in firefox with the name. It will be useful.

  • How to get rid of pinning on the new tab

    Okay, so, I was just curious as to how I can get rid of this new site pinning thing when I open a new tab. I don't want my most visited sites or any site besides projected. Please if someone can help me to get it back as it was, it would be great, and if not, just tell me how not to have my most visited car pinned. I thank very you much for your time. I hope you have a nice day!

    You can add & custom pin of the sites on the new tab page by drag-and - drop them to your bookmarks or history.

    However if you don't always like it, you can hide the feature by clicking on the icon toggle on the top right of the site, or disable it completely: enter "on: config" in the address bar, confirm the information dialog box, double-click the preference of 'browser.newtab.url' and its new value "on: vacuum.

  • Pavilion Notebook 15-ab044sa: load the Pin and the power connector broken

    The computer store where I bought my laptop in August advised that the pin of the connector in my charger is broken and this also broke the load pin in the side of the laptop. The laptop works when it is plugged in but does not load. It is certainly a terrible design of the HP charger fault. Can anyone advice if it's fixable by HP?

  • SimplePass update, icon now always made the pinned to the taskbar

    On my laptop dv6t, I let the software auto-updated to HP install what he wanted to update. After he did, an icon associated with Simplepass is pinned to the taskbar and I can't get rid of it.  Right click and select 'Unpin this program from the taskbar' do nothing.  How can I get rid of him. I want to keep the program. But don't want the icon pinned to the taskbar.

    Then, when I opened Microsoft Excel, he said that a material change has been detected and I have to re - activate. Why would this happen?  How can I keep it from happening. Is it better to just never leave HP update anything?

    I tried something in the sense of what aperez1221 suggested, and it seems to be an acceptable solution. I wasn't sure what you mean by ' unchecking the pass simple site.»  So I opend SimplePass and entered parameters.  I unchecked everything under "activate features and then tried to re - check one by one.  I have determined that only LaunchSite deactivating solves the problem and seems to leave the programme of work as it did before.  So thank you aperez1221 for pointing me in the right direction.

    I don't know what I'm missing out on by disabling LaunchSite.  This solution may not work for anyone who uses the features enabled by LaunchSite. I did not understand what are these features. Seems like QuickLaunch, which allows me to drag a finger to open a program or a web site (in a new browser window). And I can still connect to websites using my finger as well.  Thus, with only disabled LaunchSite, SimplePass plans what he did before and no longer repinned himself to the taskbar.

    I left that open for now in case someone has a solution that requires no LaunchSite, regardless of disabling that does.

  • Simulate signals wired to the DAQ assistant for USB-6009 device

    Hello

    I'm trying to send a signal to the DAQ Assistant Express VI.  I watched the movie "Generating a Signal" on the Web site of NOR (www.ni.com/academic/students/learnlabview/generate.htm) and I have my Signal simulate connected directly on the DAQ Assistant, as shown in this film.  In my case, the DAQ Assistant sends the signal to a device USB-6009.

    However, I received this message:

    Error-200077 occurred to the DAQ Assistant
    Possible reasons:

    Requested value is not supported for this property value. The value of the property may be invalid because it is in conflict with another property.

    Property: SampTimingType
    asked the value: Sample clock
    You select: On-demand

    If I select 'On Demand' in my DAQ assistant and run the vi everything works beautifully.  However, I need my DAQ assistant to be configured to generate a waveform AC continuous, not output a single alternating current rippling.

    What happens here?  I did not have this problem before on other devices of NOR. I am using LABView 2010.

    Please answer.

    Thank you.

  • Channel of the DAQ (SMU-4498) task order

    I have an SMU-4498 for which I generate an acquisiiton task programmatically. When the task is created channel order is not necessarily in ascending order of channel number.

    My question is if the DAQ card will return the data in the order in which I defined the task or channel order?

    Thank you

    It seems that the answer is that channels must be specified in the order, when creating a task.
